- This is way for fixing xbox 360 and playstation 1,2,3 controllers, no welding need it, You can't Used old xbox controller or buy a new analog and remove stick when rotating analog stick it will brake be careful when rotating best to cut square to get out analog stick. Don't brake new replacing parts. Sometimes it will work when replacing new or used parts. Change at your own risk.
You know itd be amazing if you were to tell people you need another Xbox controller BEFORE YOU TAKE IT APART

Made it to the second step and snapped the stick right off when trying to twist it with the pliers. Guess it's time to close this video and buy a new controller.

Could have bought a replacement stick online. As long as you're ok with soldering, just toss out the old pop in the new.
Yeah, that's always an option. Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with soldering in the slightest.
The most difficult part would be desoldering, but it seems the trigger assembly also gets in the way and needs to be desoldered. Probably not as worth it if you need to get all the equipment and don't have use for it otherwise as well.

hello, I have a problem with the left stick of my joystick, it physically works fine, there is a new analogue and it works perfectly, but for some reason on the console the character moves only up and down, that is, when I move the stick right and left, nothing happens, I tried the same thing on a friend’s console and in games and just in the Xbox360 menu, maybe you know why this is happening?

DUDE, your my savoir. Just did this to a controller i dropped a table on like 9 years ago. At first it was difficult to get the parts out but i figured it out. Lastly, after finally getting it all back together and "working", horizontal axis was inverted lol. Just a matter of taking the brass piece "hook" end out and rotating that circle thing 180 degrees! THANKS AGAIN
This actually really helped. My analog stick is like brand new. You need better lighting though, lol. (also i snapped one analog neck trying to get it out)

I need help! Did somebody has this problem? A few hours ago, I replaced both analog sticks for my Xbox 360 controller and happened something curious, it happens on Destiny, Battlefield 3 and Alan Wake (it doesn't happen in any other games, I tried a few more like DS1&2, tomb raider/rise of the tomb raider, metro last light, RE1&4 and many others) the thing is, my character doest want to lower his arms, it keeps aiming down the sights (left trigger aim, right trigger shoot) and whenever I swap the triggers (left trigger shoot, right trigger aim) it works perfectly without any issues at all.. also, Alan Wake doesn't want to run, keeping pressed the LB causes him to sprint a few meters and stop running.
Can somebody help me?

My experience trying this:
I had the problem that the stick was "sticky" in the northern/forward/upward region, so that it prohibits you to walk forward ingame sometimes.
When I tried to circle the grey stick out of the metal box with pliers (like in 01:00) it almost broke completely. So I figured it would be smart to stop right there before it's comeplete garbage. So I wiggled the metal brace back into it and after some tries and a lot of fumbling it finally sat where it belongs.
Fortunately that supposed failure seemed to help it nonetheless. Controller seems working normally again, except for the joystick itself being twisted some degrees, because its basement is cracked.

Maybe you didn't solder every point good.. I replaced mine left analog with left analog from "speedlink xeox gamepad" and works perfect! But the problem is that my left trigger is now fucked up, it is pushed down always...
if ur analog stick is screwed ur never gonna be able to fix it and make as the original one , microsoft is not that stupid.
I had a scuf for like a day but my younger sibling turnt the analog stick so it snapped so I took it apart tried to super glue it but it didn't work so I think if I replace the grey/black thumbstick part it might fix but Im not sure even after the tutorial how it's gonna work or how to do it safely without fucking my controller even more

There is a much easier way to do this all you have to do is bang your controller against your desk or table trust me it works!

I know cuz i just did it. spray those "3d analog thumbs" with WD40 and they are good as new. i was like... yeah i need me old xbox controller and it has long gone to the garbage, and i dont think i can pull that pliers Technic, i might ass well spray that sh%*%.
