I can't thank you enough for taking time to post demonstrations of equipment in the price range that most of us can more easily afford. I do drool over the more costly instruments you demo but I'm grateful to see that there are great playing instruments at prices that, as a hobbyist/amateur, I am able to justify. You're the best! We appreciate you greatly!
There's something about the sound of hollows and semi-hollows that really hits right for me. Love that underlying thickness to the sound
That SLICK P-90 neck pickup is absolutely killer. I have one in a kit guitar I made and I am so happy with it!
Slaying it as usual! That opening jam was boss.👊🏻
Everything you touch turns to Gold RJ. Once again Epic playing and killer tones. I hope one day you will tour the UK and I can shake your hand for such inspiration. Outstanding maestro
Nicely done R.J! Cheers!!
Hope you are strong, man. Sending good vibes ❤
Been considering one of these for a few years. Need to make it happen. Well done!
I am pretty impressed with the variety of tones that are being produced with this Slick Guitar....sounds great!
Awesome!
Excellent Demo , Excellent Playing , great on my Playlist , and I will SHARE !
I have a Slick SL 54 and really like the neck and guitar as a whole
Oh nice R.J !! And
I'm really Diggin on the Marriage of Tele St. Bridge & Pupi Neck!! And double Cut semi/hollow & Like that color 2, Now I Want One! RJ loving the Tune as Usual Perfect match up finger/pic style! Slick Guitars has got it going on with this one 🎸🤘🤠
Hadto come back for another snot - wow!
Thanks!. Splendid
Holy Cow that was tight playing and nice tone.
You could play a 3 string cigar box guitar and make it sound EPIC! Great job.
This isn’t a unique idea and it isn’t true plus that statement is a veiled insult to the instrument.
Killer choice bro..nice to see something in this $ range that stands out..I'd rather see affordable brands than 3-4 k boutique guitars I'll never own..my least expensive is my epi es339 and most expensive is my SG standard..I have what I want..so from now on it's affordable all the way for me..under a grand
I like the laser sounds! 👽
I've tried to find this model in a different color and there seems to be a waiting list. This isn't even on their website. Uuggghh it sounds killer and looks amazing! I definitely want one!
I was.on the fence for one of these but completely sold now
Still sold out🙄
Give this Man some Pancit! 😎😂
Job well done.
BADASS
Picked up one of these this past summer in the black ash finish. It's the cheapest guitar I have ever purchased. Needed some minor tweaking out of the box as expected, but it plays like a more expensive guitar. It also seems to get more comments on its looks as well compared to my other guitars.
I wonder if changing strings are still difficult with bridge recessed in the body as with the initial Slick guitars. Great playing as always R J. Inspiring.🙏🎵🎶☕🎸❗👀
WOW...what a TONE DIFFERENCE when you flip that switch 0:19 ....IMPRESSIVE 👌
It‘s not only the pickup switch, it‘s also the changed picking place and pic angle.☺️
That thing looks niiice, hope there is a humbucker version...
A telecaster designer on acid. I bet it's nice and light, and fits nicely on your lap. Sounds awesome, wonder how many colors are available. Cool beans 😎🤓
I like it. A rock machine.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I wish it had two P-90s. I'd also love to know how it sounds unplugged. And what is the action like?
I'm curious how it was out of the box?
acch mensch i NEED that backing track!
Pretty RAD! Did that guitar require and tweaking or wrestling of the neck to make it playable?
What is the width of the neck at the nut?
damn, thanks to you i must buy another guitar :D
Strictly a GFS P90/Mean 90 fanboy. . I love the first backing track jam. It's got these weird popping/hollow noises..first time I heard it I kept shutting off the music thinking someone was in the house :)
Can you pass on whose backing tracks those are?
Great Jam Sir! Best Regards and Best Wishes!
I have this exact guitar , I swapped out only the neck pup to a Seymour Duncan Antiquities P90 (sounds amazing and matches the vibe too!!!)...nothing else needed modding at all....I set her up with the lowest action, without buzz, as humanly possible!!! ....for $300 stock ...or $430 with an upgraded P90 ...there is no better looking + sounding guitar anywhere !!! ....(I did get rid of the awful headstock decal !!!....come on Earl Slick!!! ...design a nice screw down plate with just a fancy font of your name !!!) ....the brass hardware on this instrument is beyond description!!! ....you have to see and play it to understand what it does to this beast of an ax !!!!!!
How did the decal come off? Is it it sticker or did you sand it? I’m considering getting one of these they look so sick. I’m looking at the white one
How did you obtain the guitar, a blind purchase, or did GF send it to you? If a blind purchase (not cherry picked and/or specially set up by GF) how was the guitar straight out of the box? What adjustments were needed, if any? I'm trying to get an idea of what the Average Joe buyer might expect.
Under less than optimal viewing conditions, Slick's branding looks like it says SUCK. Nice axe though.
So, how do you like it?
🔥🎸🥷
For Squire money you can buy a special axe!
Excellent! He plays so good! He can even polish a turd like these. Thats how good he is. The guitar sucks. You know it sucks we all know its total garbage. But damn it man, he makes it SING! What a player.
I've bought an Xavier Jazzmaster style guitar off this site before, and it was pretty good. $260. There was a bit of chipping in the finish by the neck, but that was about the only blemish. Good fret work, but clearly it's not as detail oriented as a higher value guitar. I did swap out the wiring, pickups, switches, bridge, and tuners. They are good platforms for mods of you are just getting into guitar work. In reality, you can probably get a Squire and not have to do much to it.
@@itsalwayssomething7490 I did a gig with one of those Jazzmasters back when they were about $200. It did fine.
Yeah I bought a slick tele, it was borderline unplayable
I've had 2 axes from Guitar Fetish and they were very good right out of the box and required very little tweaking on one of them. They are every bit as good as many more expensive brands. Especially the Epiphones I've had.
I had one of GFS semi hollow teles.... . the neck bent when you breathed on it and the string through holes were off center from the bridge. No way their quality is better than squier which is what they try to claim.
no country music please, we are British
