I've never played a game like this before and couldn't imagine what a board game MOBA would look like. Great review, there was a lot of really good info and I feel well informed. Clear and concise as always.
As for cutting up your steak entirely before eating it...sacrilege indeed.

Haha, I was waiting for someone to call me out on the steak!
Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it.

Nice and honest review. I like the cons that you mention. I went all in on the last kickstarter mainly for the solo/coop so it is nice to hear that you liked it.

Thanks Beto! Absolutely, I look forward to going back to the solo mode and also trying the coop mode.

    Great review. Short and precise.
I had pretty much the same opinions about the game as presented here after my first two playthroughs at a friends table. My gaming group usally brings a new game every other week so getting CS to the table was quite hard. It simply needs a few games before one starts getting confident in it and if these games are spaced months apart we were effectively starting from zero every single time. Anyways the solo mode is so fantastic that I have ordered it for myself during the last kickstarter. And if I feel the urge to play it against others I will simple leave out the Event Cards (even if this renders a lot of the stretch goals of both campaigns useless).

Thanks Patrick! Glad you enjoyed it, and I appreciate the comment.
Like you said, even after I played it a couple times, I took a break for a few weeks and I felt like I had to re-learn everything. Cloudspire almost demands that you forget about all other games for a while and just focus on memorizing all the rules and keywords. And good call, I might try without the event cards next time too. Glad to hear you enjoyed the solo mode too, that's definitely my favourite way to play Cloudspire.

This looks fun but would take some dedication. Id love to try it with my Winnipeg based boardgame group! Need those experience friends!

Definitely! It's a demanding game and the more you learn about it the more rewarding it is...you just have to be patient to get to those rewards.

Too much work and cost for a game.

I haven't gone back to Cloudspire in a while and I've definitely forgotten quite a few rules by now, not sure if I'll ever go back to it. The solo mode is reeeaally good though, still hoping to play that more one day.

@@AllYouCanBoard I am having trouble deciding whether to try this game. In all likely hood I would only play solo. I feel like I will be like you and stop playing and never go back

@@erickshaffer6615 Hey Erick, sorry for the delay here! It depends on a few things - do you have a gaming table where you can leave a game set up over the course of days/weeks? I think if you're setting it up and putting it away each time you play, it could get tiresome. If you have a dedicated gaming table/room where you can leave it all set up, that definitely helps.
Solo is the way I enjoyed the game most, and if I wasn't a content creator with new games just piling up and waiting to be played, I definitely would've gone back to the solo mode of Cloudspire by now. But now it's been too long and I've forgotten so many rules.
It's an expensive game and will take up a lot of your time, but if you can get past that initial hurdle I do think it's worth it for the solo mode. I still have no desire to go back and play the game with 2-4 players, but I could see myself returning to the solo mode one day because I absolutely loved Warcraft 3 (PC game) and this reminds me of it a LOT. The scenarios always seem impossible at first, and it's REALLY rewarding when you figure out a way to beat it.
I hope this helps. Don't hesitate to let me know if you have any other questions!
