It's super depressing seeing AI stealing artist's work and getting really hard to decern from reality. HOWEVER I try not to be hopeless about it because it doesn't matter if I'm perfect, flaws are human and I'm proud to be human!

I remember going through the whole anguish over AI art potentially replacing me, but honestly, I've come to realize it could never truly replace me. Like you said, AI has no idea what your next move is. It doesn't have the OBSESSION and NEED to draw things, it doesn't sit and think about silly little guys all day and draw out of passion. The whole creative process is just, so fun to me, and then I get to look at an image afterwards!! An image that I made with my own hands ( and uncontrollable lust for silly little anime men). AI is never going to be obsessed and use that obsession as fuel, so honestly, I agree. Banger video and I vibe with all the beefy shirtless men in your little set-up ✌
thank u so much for watching my video!! and YESS it is the obsession that makes us human and irreplaceable! thats why we really should focus more on the process of creating as well!! thank u again and MDIOSMDIOSHJ my little beefy virtual posterS
Thank you for ur videos. I've been comparing myself a lot with other artists. I feel inadequate with skills and depressed about it that I kept having thoughts of quitting art. I never really think about the rise of AI art that much. There is something that is unique about art created with passion and love that Ai can't replicate. I'm trying to just draw for myself more and just have fun. I'm trying not to think about being a perfectionist and just make art
I'm mostly just bummed that human-made art will become harder to find. I have no interest in looking at art made by a computer! I want to see art made by HUMANS! Thanks for saying all this, I do enjoy your videos ☺
god i barely wanan google anythign anymore, buying books and saving as many references that i have on pinterest into my drive has become so important now! thank you so much for watching my videos!!
Yeah, this. Also if you ever tried to "create" anything with ai you will realise very fast, that it will not make what you have in your head. Ai-art just looks pretty, but it's nothing too specific and that is what makes human art so interesting (specially with mistakes and all that!) ai is great to create slop content for social media, and that's pretty much it. I think a hidden factor with the panic of ai for artists is our obsession with social media - and yeah it IS unfair on these plattforms how much more easy attention ai generated stuff gets, but social media is not the end all be all, far from it.
I’m not even gonna lie, at one point I was an avid AI art user because I felt that was the only way I could successfully make nice images. I’ve been drawing for years but seeing that I could make better art in minutes seemed alluring. But then I got tired of it. It wasn’t my vision, it wasn’t what I wanted to see, I felt no pride when I saw the finished product not to mention it felt horrible stealing other people’s art. So I went back to drawing things myself and it felt so much better. It also looked so much better. It wasn’t as pretty but it was fulfilling and it made me feel accomplished knowing it was MY vision. I no longer use AI art and seeing this video only makes me feel better that I didn’t give up and succumb to AI art.
wahHHH im so happy for you!!! I'm glad you saw the light my friend! It really helps to hear stories like these , gives me more hope that most people will turn their backs on AI and begin a new found appreciation for hand made art. The allure of AI really is 'pretty picture' but it truly does not compare to putting in time to a piece and seeing the results of your work! I'm very proud of you (not to sound like.. patronizinG FMISOFMS) and i hope you get to make many more amazing things in the future, your work will grow and you're gonna love the progress you will make in time!
@@bananaboi I’m sure they will, it’ll just never be as fulfilling as doing it yourself. And thank you so much! You are most of the time an inspiration when I want to draw. I plan on drawing a picture later today because this video made me want to be creative 😭
Yes, yes, yes!!!! The amount of videos that are stuff like THIS IS HOW TO MASTER PAINTING IN 7 DAYS!!! are probably what has stanked a lot of my progress as a (mostly) self taught artist... Growing up it was always the easiest to go to those kind of "quick life hack" videos and just do whatever they told me because it felt good to see immediate change in my way of drawing, but now that I'm seeking to do art more seriously, I find that it's really not easy AT ALL to try and get better at a specifc skill in a short amount of time, but then again... why do I HAVE to do it fast? Sure, it sucks to not get it right the first few times, hell even a lot of times, but it's infinetly more valuable to try and understand the skills you're trying to develop than just getting the "aesthetics" of what looks good by chance... That's why I don't see value in AI art, it looks good and it's fast, but there's no skill or understanding of why things look a certain way, it's mindless and uninspired. The best art is the art made by people who love art in spite of how hard it is. EDIT: I commented midway through the video because I'm impatient but YES! Obsession truly is the driving force of art and even improvement! A wise tumblr user once said "The best way to get better at art is to become obsessed with something and letting yourself be weird about it", or something along those lines, and I completely agree! I think, for me, being better at drawing and painting it's not just for the sake of "being good", of course that's great, but what I want the most is to be able to draw the things I see in my head the way it makes me the most happy.
yEE completely agree!! i do think the game-ification of art, in which artists seem to just want to trade time they put into art with the instant gratification of getting better. and its like, it just doesn't work that way! one day i might make a video on this specific topic cause it's one that has been recently driving me crazy IJSOIHF but thanku for taking the time to comment and thank u so much for watching my video!!
AI has a lot of problems but I’ll never stop creating my own work. Art is a huge part of how I process and express my feelings and I’ll never get tired of sharing my art with people who appreciate it. AI is a tool-a tool with scary implications and uses-but cool ones too. I hope in the future AI is used more to aid artists than take over for them
I can't believe I haven't said this before but I adore your video editing style, it's so fun and refreshing (in addition to the videos themselves being fire!!!)
I feel like people in our sorta age group have really felt the difference in how the internet has developed. Everything is visually stimulating!!! Visual stimulation to view for 1 second!!! And i think that pretty soon humans are going to desire to create again (could be in the next generation or two, or sooner) and i think its gonna cause something big.
GOD YEAH it feels like we were in the thick of it all. like it feels like a privilege to be able to live in a time where the internet wasn't this fast at all, where you had to still go outside and be a person cause the computer was considered down time or research time! i hope that big thing happens in our time, i can't stand the state of art atm MojIOSFHJ but thank u so much for watchign my video!!
Literally ai art just made me want to draw more. I'll always live true art and the artists behind them. Im never gonna let them stop me. You cant replace people!
yeah its mad annoying i've seen people sell ai art in displate. if you dunno what displate is, it's basically a place that supports artists and has metal posters from those artists. so basicallt they're selling ai images and getting money NOT EVEN PUTTING IN THE WORK. ai also steals off other artists so its harder to see that its stolen. we honestly should not be calling it art. just call it images. creating artwork from a robot is not art you need to make it yourself doesnt matter if it looks ugly it will always be better than what a robot can do. i love seeing bts (behind the scenes) of artwork and animation literally hand-drawn its just more real and will inspire tons of other artists. but what really makes me mad about ai images being used as art, is if they say they created that ai image, they dont have that talent and practice why would they call that theirs? also ai always gets a lot of images wrong especially the hands. it's honestly cursed but if you want to use it for sketching out a drawing i guess thats fine i just wouldn't recommend it just go on pinterest from real artists. but anyway im gonna subscribe to your channel i like your style and sketches its really nice :) also im not gonna quit art just because of ai. it just really makes me angry as an artist. i love doing what i do i dont care about the money i just like creating art :D
