Yelling when you stretch makes the stretch more effective, right? Who knows what a streel is?

    • @kaci7789

Depends on what context being used but “streel” can mean unkempt or slutty 😳

Kathyleen Curlei so where we are from, a streel is someone who hasn’t taken the time to put themselves together, someone who looks like the rolled out of bed and went outside 😂 ruclips.net/video/dW9n4xGRTJU/видео.html

Ha. Makes perfect sense. Somewhere :) First time I've come across these folks. I still have a wry grin at 'I get horrible airsickness' and I go flying all the time and make videos of me turning green :) I love irony and gently making fun of one's self. Oh, and irony, it lives :) Also... ok honey we're at 5 feet altitude and 5 knots forward speed. YOU"RE TOO DAMN HIGH and GOING TOO FAST!!!!!!!!!! :)

I had to pause this, move to the living room and make my wife watch with me. She’s the same as Becki in turbulence, first terror, then motion sickness, so it’s safe to say she sympathized with Becki on this one! The untold struggles of a pilots wife...

Flying above the clouds is amazing... I usually miss that opportunity on my paramotor since I work nights and don't get to fly in the early morning much. It's magical, though!
PS - DON'T do anything with that live round. It's not dangerous as it is, but don't try to drill it or anything. Unless you get a ballistic bullet puller and pull the bullet and dump the powder. ;)

I was a combat medic in the Navy and my first heli ride was a med-evac flight where I was treating a patient in the back of the heli. I couldn't orient myself to which way the heli was going as the back had no views and the pilot was doing combat rolls to avoid gun fire. All I could think of aside from treating the patient was not to vomit on the patient. I ended up vomiting into my Kevlar helmet. I have never felt so sick in my life, but being in a situation of a med-evac, I couldn't complain.

I saw the title of the video and started to cry!!! (bit of a depressive here) (clickbate sucker!) Came back to my senses and figured I'd watch and now I'm HAPPY!!! Thank God you didn't get rid of it. But now I really want you guys to keep N-300WZ. I think 300 Whiskey Zulu is the coolest frickin' name on the planet. I know you like Millennial Falcon, but I feel like it's too mainstream. Ninja-300-Whiskey-Zulu is edgy, like a diverse party (a bit Asian, a bit African and everyone having some whiskey beverages). However, I'm just glad you're keeping the chopper. And Becki, YOU are the helicopter Ninja!! So courageous getting up in that chopper with your man, knowing it's gonna be rough, but you get up there anyway!! YOU'RE MY HERO, GIRL!!!

Becki, please take a look at a product called "Reliefband" to treat motion sickness. It's a watch sized electronic device you wear on the inside of your wrist which indirectly stimulates the vagus nerve to regulate the normal pulses through the digestive system. The Reliefband has been used extensively to treat motion sickness, as well as prescribed for morning sickness and for those on chemo therapy. It's the only thing I've ever used that can bring me back from feeling very queasy to OK again, and it doesn't make you drowsy like most pills. I have no stake in the product. I just use it, as do others in my family.

Becki may benefit from taking the controls in flight. Anytime my primary SEL students begin feeling quezy, we go straight and level with the student steering for a visible landmark.
I've even gone so far as to tell my students that I didn't feel very well, and I 'needed' them to take the controls for a few minutes. This totally shifts the students focus from themselves and how they feel, to "Captain of the ship".
    Works every time. 😎

If you give your passenger the controls (with you keeping your hands on as well to guide them and prevent any mishaps), that can sometimes alleviate passenger motion sickness.

Guys just stumbled on to your site. Brilliant my feeling go towards Chris I know the work load in evolved in flying a helicopter as i myself have my ppl (H) in R22/ Bell206/ Squirrel AS 350 and the work you do and the work load of filming at the same time is amazing after all I still struggle with work load and RT. Although I have flown in the states much more relaxed than here in the UK. All the best to you both Mart

I was super skeptical about those 360 cameras, but you used yours really well to show what it was like on the flight with the turbulence, particularly that first landing! I see the comments here about "I could really feel the turbulence!" and those stabilized-to-the horizon shots were key to that!
You didn't explicitly say you're re-painting the exterior, but I'm guessing that's what is driving the new tail number? Any chance you're going with some addressable RGB LED strip lighting on the interior? Looking forward to that sexy reveal montage when it's done!

Fun video, I really enjoy how you both interact with each other. We fly heli's as well. My wife (and daughter) used to get airsick pretty easy (carsick too). They found the wristbands (look like watches) that send out electric pulses to almost completely make the motion sickness go away. The one we have had the best luck with is the EmeTerm (got it from Amazon). It truly is a lifesaver. The helicopter is much more stable from a motion sickness standpoint than a small fixed wing. R-44s are awesome. R-22s are fun, but much squirrellier .

Driving back from holidays or something that requires from you is a huge pain. I did it twice last year. First time we went to Montecarlo and I flew there and 4 days after came back by car with my friend and his gf that arrived by car a day later than I did to shoot at the Grand Prix. Those 6h drive back home...... well i rather be flying 1h 30 minutes. Yet is what it was.
Worst was after spending 4 days at the French GP close to Marseille driving every day and some day with a looot of traffic (the first day we've spent 9h trapped in a 1h drive) wasn't that good and then our flying company let us know our flight back home was cancelled so I had to rent a car. And I was the only one driving. So add 10h the first day plus 2-3h drive daily + the way back, which was also around 6h drive. The worst was the car had a terrible seat so I've have had lower back pain for a week (and I had it while driving), and also the fact that we left at around 17h (5pm) and arrived at the returning car parking lot at 1am, and the next day I was back at the office....
That was tired, and fked up.... so yeah that back trip.... you can tell. I guess when you pick up your heli the best thing you can do is plan it with time, spend a night there, rest well and fly back home. Because I guess flying back tired is not anything you wanna do.

Becki, my Partner suffered from fear of flying, which is great, since we fly regularly, both short haul and long haul. Also has fear of heights can not walk past the CN tower after a bad experience when she was a younger. On the helicopter front I was nearly sick after a sight seeing tour of New York, Pilot did lots of noise turns, and my focus was on the camera not the horizon. How long before you get the Helicopter back?

Im Glad to see you guys at ABE my hometown and driving the turnpike, quite a flight for a chopper ,
Becki keep flying with Capt christ your fear of heights will fade away and you'll learn to trust the helicopter

Everybody needs to fly with a great training passenger like your wife. I didn’t realize those ones didn’t have an AH, I would want that too. It’s just too easy to lose ground reference and these are just too unforgiving. Isn’t streel like careless, messy, untidy female?

Huge fan of the in camera transitions you guys are using. Knew you’d learned them from Jessie! BTW, binge watching your vlogs. Lovin’ it.

Becki have you ever tried Ginger Pills for your nausea? I was a PADI dive master and all my students that suffered motion sickness were incredibly grateful for the suggestion. In fact Mythbusters did a segment on different cures more motion sickness and Ginger Pill won out every time.

As a pilot myself, I’ve never had a passenger get as sick as you did Becki. But I suggest Bonie for motion sickness and ask all new passengers or those with motion sickness to take it. Over-the-counter. Has virtually no side effects.

Wow! She's a keeper Chris, afraid of heights and seriously shitty motion sickness yet still wants to be by your side! You are one very lucky dude :) Just wondering if you don't know or dont want to say when the MF is due back?

ForeFlight for the win! Chris, ever had a negative groundspeed? In flight school (fixed wing) we would practice slow flight and with strong headwinds every once in a while we would have negative groundspeed.

Becki was a trooper... way to hang in there!
Also... no sunnies during that flight!? I'd walk away with a massive headache flying into the sun like that!

Chris why don't you get your instrument rating? Can you add the equipment to the chopper to make it IFR? I'm a fixed wing pilot and the instrument rating was the best thing I ever did. Especially up north in the winter where it is overcast so much of the time.

  • @TakkoAM

You thinking of getting your instrument rating? Would you even want to fly in IFR conditions? haha, stoked for the updgrades!!!

Hello There I have been following you on the helicopter videos as i'm a newly private helicopter pilot now going for my commercial rating. The last i saw you had dropped off your helicopter for some work. I was wondering how it is coming along as i recall you were having a lot done to it? I miss the helicopter videos hope to see you back in the air soon. Thanks Chuck

let her control the aircraft... it will help... I used to get so sick from flying. After every single training flight, I laid under the wing or in the hanger until the feeling left me.. sometimes, it took hours to a day to get over. Perseverance won over my motion sickness and slowly gained on the feeling. Now (45 years later) I’d rather be up there than down here...
