This brought back some strong memories. The 72' ss was my sister's first car. It was Blk/Silver and I can still remember that grab-bar stick shift. She taught me how to drive in that car when I was 15 yrs old. Man it was cool and accelerated like 'wow'!!! Living in S. Cal, we'd steal off to the beach in the summer of 72'-73' three times a week. The car was always the envy in the parking lot. Seeing you detail this one just brought back some very 'happy memories' that I thought I'd share with you. Thanks!

My friend in high school had a 72 Chevelle, I had a 72 Cutlass, both in red. Mine wasn't a barn find, it was a tree find, in that it sat under a tree for 7 years, with it's windows open, had about 4 inches of wet leaves inside and had a huge rust hole in the bac - but it only cost $200 + another $20 for a set of 4 used truck tires. This was in the 90s, mind you. Anyways it looked pretty awful, but someone told me an amazing trick, to use transmission fluid on the paint, and it would shine up like you wouldn't believe. Well, I did that, and I swear the car looked as good as what you guys did with this one, at least the non-rusted parts anyways. Downside is that dirt would stick to it, so basically it was a one night only deal. However an unexpected side benefit of coating your car in transmission fluid is that people won't sit on it.

Great work on the SS Chevelle. Just started my detailing business last year. Growing leaps and bounds. Getting better equipment all the time. Just did a Soccer MOM's van Honda Odessey and Soccer Dad's Honda Accord. Just horrible food debris in both. Killed my wife old vacuum. Just bought a Rigid vacuum with detailing kit. 14 gallon. Should cut my vacuuming in half. Next a extractor for cloth seats. Thanks, For the awesome video. Shawn

Nice detail job. My favorite is the 1970 Chevelle SS 454 LS6. One of the most powerful muscle cars of it's time. Comparable to the Hemi 426s and Mustang Boss 429s of the day.

Your wife really helped you a lot and she was fantastic. Hopefully we can see her more and you can beautify your garage. Maybe watch RAD Garage as a reference. I remember when my ex-wife helped with our 3 out of 4 sons too. We kept our cars and home clean thoroughly.
Hope your wife edited or did the camera shots because they were awesome.
