🎉Happy birthday Waffles🥳 I find buying the longest driveshafts at and buying in large quantities for a good value. You can always cut them to size as needed❤
Hey, Y'all! How about a huge Happy Birthday to our favorite RUclips RC guy!!!! Mr. Waffles RC had a birthday last weekend. We all love him and I knew you'd all want to celebrate home with me. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 He hates to be the center of attention, but....hype him up ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Look good if you weld a vertical bar off the a-pillar like if it has a wing window bar in an old truck. Also I run and insane amount of weight on my trx6 hauler. The injora dual stage reds are very firm and work nicely. There for a 4.75 so if those are smaller they will be even stiffer. Think idk like $18-20 for 4 on Amazon. Nice work
Anyone who chooses to support you on Patreon isn't paying for you to build yourself stuff, they're paying for the pleasure of watching you do something they find entertaining.
Good morning Mr. Waffle, I really appreciate your efforts to put these videos together. I always enjoy watching while I work on my projects. BTW, made a lot of progress on my buggy project last week after the last vid you posted! Have a great day!
I have a slash a Crawler, 6 wheel drive bashed dump truck and a heavily modified excavator and repairs are a BIG part of the hobby and good to see that I'm not the only one braking stuff! 😂😂
😂 totally agree with the jack stands.......I have the same ones myself. If I have an rc with no wheels on it I put it on all 4 of them! Makes me feel like a dork but it sure looks cool!
Im on the wifes utube but we Love your video's. On circles for tires cut the top off a bean can to use as a cutter or a cheap cookie cutter for the doller store. Im a 25 year welder and fab guy myself thats getting into rc more and love your channel.
Circle smircle if it works it works, the buggy (truggy) is coming out nice, you could try memberships they're not very expensive for us and you would have money in the kitty when you need it I'd sign up! Keep up the good work 🤛 and thanks for sharing.
I liked this episode. Building RCs is just as fun as driving them. Some of it definitely gets monotonous (shocks...), but I learned some cool stuff. Thanks!
Maybe do a build and have a raffle or something and give it to one of your subs thats would be awesome love your work either way dont stop building them love watching you build them just helpful knowledge to have
Would backer rod foam work better, once you got the required density and diameter, just cut it to length as needed, stuff it into the tire, insert the wheel. One could glue the ends of the backer rod together if one was so inclined.
you can sell just custom chasis without much detail but the basic rig but at your crazy "tester" style trying some new ideas but with body pieces for other people, not the full rc but maybe feels better for you to not sell a full rc for others or crate anything from 0 to full build, i think would be nice, just customer sends the dimensions and you figure out how to do your magic. is just an idea, love your job sorry about my poor english, im from spain, big up
I tried air filled tires one of my builds, and it worked for a bit. RC tires aren't goat head proof. And while I am not a fan of them as a whole, Traxxas now has paint in much larger cans than Tamiya or Testors. Haven't priced them yet, but your local hobby shop might have it. Diesel Creek and Captain Kleeman both did the patreon debate a while back. RUclips does have channel membership now and there are online tip jars, I haven't looked much into either myself. But the tip jar is a little more appealing to me because its not a subscription, just some place people can toss some money your way if they want to because they like what you do.
Ali express is where i get my all metal driveshafts. Good quality so far. Especially on a 40+ lbs 6x6. Wait a little longer on delivery but they are only $4-6 each
People pay 3-500$ for concert tickets as its considered entertainment.... that's what this is! Period!! That's how youtube can pay youtubbers.... I would strongly suggest Definitely open a patreon, and after activating your adsense and super chat once you reach $100 in donations, you will receive 70% of that. Also, while I appreciate you feeling weird about making money, we appreciate the reality that spending your hard earned money to have supplies to create new projects, is taking that money from somewhere.... we don't want you broke. That discourages channels from continuing and growing even bigger. So making money at this makes sense to continue!
Hey Mr waffle. I'm a new subscriber. I've spent all afternoon watching your content. You are an amazing welder and fabricator. I'm not so bad with a welder myself. I do collision repair for a living. I weld frame rails , quarter panels stuff like that but I've never attempted to build my own RC frame. I noticed you use a Vulcan 110 welder. I have a millermatic 140 I use for small stuff. And a snapon muscle mig I use for frame rails. Where do you get the metal to build these frames? Maybe I'll try building one myself instead of buying them.
@@WafflesRC-pb4nt awesome man. I'm going to start gathering the materials this week. I just finished watching part 2 of your Tacoma build. I asked you a question about the suspension link sizes on another video in the comments. . Im going to use those welding coupons from the welding certification class to build my battery tray. Lol it's going to be awesome.
If your DRIVE SHAFT spline [slip shaft] bottoms out under compression, don't be afraid to cut a little off the tube and spline shaft for clearance. Also, if you mount your drive shaft tube angled down, water and mud can't pack up inside. I was taught a DRIVE SHAFT was part of the DRIVE LINE which consists of transmission, transfer case, DRIVE SHAFTS, and axles. Sorry, just gets a little confusing when anyone uses two different words or descriptions for the same item. NOT ME, but some one not prevy to the lingo. Yes, I'm one of those guys, I don't call ENGINES, motors. I dont think they make a hybrid with two motors, but I heard some one describe one once that way [ two motors ] and it made them sound like they're ignorant ! Just sayin !
Nice buggy you are building! Good job! Dude get you a cheap airbrush from Harbor Freight and an air separator. Totally cheap! Buy acrylics from Hobby Lobby for lexan paint inside and use your spray can paint for cover over acrylics!✌🏼🍻🇺🇸🛻🏁☠️🏴☠️
OH ! Buy the way, Love your content, Maybe I can send you a set of my new air vacuum shocks at a discount, just invented them for RC. Blew my mind when I accidentally discovered how good they actually work! [RUSTY NUTT , REEPER-FAB]
Great job on the cage build. It’s a plus that your making it a budget build
Happy being born day!!! Information is a great thing. Rambling is also, if you are all over the place with good info. Great videos…Ramble on bruh
🎉Happy birthday Waffles🥳

It doesnt matter that the video is all over the place, you are who you are, this video was just as good as all the others, cant wait to the next video
Scuff the body with a scratch pad to get the paint to stick better 😊

I've been watching for a while just sending birthday wishes to you keep up the good work bro you inspire me
Love how you build on the cheap. Not everyone has lots of money to buy accessories and parts to enjoy the hobby!

Start a patroon. Plenty of people that like to give money away. Yes. Your building it for yourself but your taking us with you.
I have jack stands love them ❤
Happy birthday brotha

I will definitely have u build me something when i get the money for it.
Hey waffles, have you thought about channel memberships? It would be a great way to fund your projects
Put me on the custom chassis list, let me know how to contact you. Happy 4th to everyone. 👍
great video bro
I've got a couple of rigs that are waiting for parts waiting for the money sucks worse than waiting for the ordered parts

I'm not going to lie. I look for reasons to put my little trucks on their jack stands
Maybe do a giveaway maybe sale parts or merch just trying to help
( happy birthday)
Yeah yeah 😂😂😂😂😂
just curious, do you know what the weight is on your hauler?

I got the frame material from Lowe's or Home Depot. It's cheaper at Home Depot. But 2 3ft sticks will definitely make a basic frame.

Definitely not a cheap hobby. Also look into plastic-dip and similar paints if you don’t want to buy lexan paints.

I've used lexan paint on a crawler body, it still cracks and falls off. Maybe it's me I don't know.
