Hey man, I discovered you because of apple vision pro, I just wanted to say you are doing great. I own a few business’s now and had to quit my job to get to where I am. Keep pushing and go full throttle with this and with RUclips. I truly believe apple vision pro will be the future and developing apps for it now will be extremely rewarding for you. This is an exciting chapter for you. Good luck brother.
Woohoo! Congratulations! I went through a career transition to indie myself. First I was full-time doing web app development. Then started iOS development in my spare time on weekends and evenings when the first iPhone SDK came out. Then left my full time job and still worked on my own app in my spare time, but also did iOS app contracting because my app sales were just a side income at that time. About a year later, sales picked up and I was able to leave the contracting world and have been indie for about 16 years now. Still loving it. It's great when your dreams can come true. Congrats!
Wishing you all the best for your indie dev career, Shawn! 🥳 I made the very same decision a few years ago and never had any regrets. Keep up the great work!
Congratulations man! Living up the dream! As a professional iOS developer myself who’s working on around 2 side projects hoping to get something started there, I hope all works out for you!
Congrats Shawn, you're going to do great. You're insanely talented, resourceful, a thoughtful decision maker, and you have an army of folks on your side. The only concern I have is that your new boss is kind of a jerk, watch out for him ;-)
Congrats!! So I totally have an idea. You should add in like what category each game, show, movie etc. like Crime, horror, shooters, etc. that way it makes it easier to know where to put something in lists. For tv shows you’d have documentary, crime shows, true crime, drama, horror, thriller. Etc. what do you think?
@@shawn.hickman well I’d be able to put a crime show in the crime section easier. It’s just nice to be able to tell what kind of genre each thing is, like how you can see which places stream it.
@@shawn.hickman so I have another question/idea. Lol. When watching TV shows, or podcasts. They usually have seasons, when you finish a series and they’re getting ready to add a new season, is there a way to make it show up as “new season available” so we make sure we’re not missing anything?
