  • Utah had been on my bucket list for ages and I finally got the chance to visit. The five National Parks in Utah are some of the most beautiful places to see in the country, so I had to hit all five on this epic road trip. Driving out from Seattle, I started my journey with the incredible Canyonlands National Park.

    Canyonlands National Park wasn't on my radar until I started planning this trip, but it completely blew me away. There were so many stunning viewpoints and trails. I hit as many highlights as I could in the short time I was there -- and I can't wait to return one day.
    Places in this video:
    - Canyonlands National Park
    - Horsethief Campground
    - Grand View Point Overlook and Trail
    - White Rim Overlook and Trail
    - Buck Canyon Overlook
    - Murphy Trail Overlook
    - Green River Overlook
    - Upheaval Dome Trail
    - Mesa Arch Trail
    - Shafer Trail Overlook
    - Hamburger Rock Campground
    - Big Spring Canyon Overlook
    - Pothole Point Trail
    I hope you enjoyed today's adventure. Next time we'll be moving onto Arches National Park and I can't wait for you to see where I went!
    Thank you so much for watching and I'll catch you in the next video.
    Happy adventuring,
    A

      I agree! I never post any footage from a trip until I'm safely back home. This footage is from this time of year two years ago 🤫 I'm just severely behind on editing haha!

    The Mighty Five has been on my NP list for over 15 years, and I am finally going next week. I came across your videos during my research and I can't believe you drove from Seattle! We are flying to Vegas driving to all 5 NP and plus some areas outside the NPs in about 6 days. I have all the hikes you did at Canyonlands on my list. Can't wait.

      That's so awesome! I wish I could relive that road trip -- maybe I'll head out there again one day and visit new spots! Let me know if you have any questions about it. If I was more on top of my editing, I would have had all my Mighty 5 videos up to help with your planning haha 🫣
      Have an amazing trip!!

    Such a fantastic show of Canyonlands NP!! I have never been there. Just Googled it. About 8 hours away from me in Phoenix! On the list now, for sure. I believe I could spend an entire year exploring in Utah!! Thanks for sharing!

    So gorgeous. What an epic trip. I've spent numerous summers at Lake Powell, Zion and Bryce Canyon but never made it to Canyonlands. Utah is a special place. You have motivated me for my next trip. Great video. Thank you 💕

      That's so awesome to hear! Canyonlands wasn't even on my radar before I started planning this trip and it knocked my socks off. There was still so much to explore, especially if you have 4WD! I really want to spend more time there -- maybe in the next year or two :)

    Dang April, nice shots! Crazy that this is in the same country as my quaint home state of Vermont. Also, I have a theory that the colder it is, the faster you talk. Definitely noticeable during winter in VT

    • @AprilAdventuring
      @AprilAdventuring  7 месяцев назад

      Wait that is such a funny theory! I'm going to have to pay attention and will let you know if I can confirm. 😂
      Isn't it wild? Utah is unlike anywhere I've ever been. I felt like I was on another planet! Can't wait to spend more time there one day :)

      @@AprilAdventuring Let me know what your research yields! 🤔 My guess is that colder climates force people to move to stay warm, which can manifest in faster talking. But what do I know

      @@AprilAdventuring I love driving! But I think most of the long drives I've done have been on very boring motorways, which hasn't been the most exciting 😂 I live in South Wales and there's an island called Anglesey off of North Wales I've wanted to visit for a while, so that could be a good starting point??? Not too far from home 😁 And driving in Wales is much more exciting, far fewer motorways

    I was born and raised in Colorado. (live in L.A. now) So I can appreciate all the beauty that Utah has to offer because of it's similarities to Colorado

    • @AprilAdventuring
      @AprilAdventuring  5 месяцев назад +1

      Colorado is awesome! How do you like the nature in the LA area after moving? I've been surprised by how accessible the outdoors is, even with the hiking in Runyon and Griffith just minutes away!

      @SDeluxe13 5 месяцев назад

      @@AprilAdventuring I love the nature here. Was just up near Runyon yesterday. I've be in L.A. (clears throat) a long while. I wanted to be a rockstar. And was, for a while, but damn. Thats a tough way to make a living. I did get to go around the world a few time so I got no complaints. I think you're a rockstar in your own right. You and your hiking partner on the Kalalau trail, that was some warrior sh*t there

      @@AprilAdventuring We will probably do a little more research, but I loved your video so maybe we will start with Canyonlands. We visited Zion when our girls were little back in the late 90’s. Now that we’re retired, we can go back. In April of 2022, I drove a rental van to Palo Duro Canyon on my way to visit my daughter in Dallas. That is a place I want to see again and stay for a bit! Thanks April! I loaded a couple of slide shows of my fishing trip to Chile if you’re interested.
