I always thought these looked too complicated but I did it!! Thanks soooo much for this clear tutorial and also you have some mad skills with that one handed sewing lol
I know this is older but omg thank you. I haven't sewed in awhile and this helped me SO much to remember how to go about things. My new guinea pigs are gonna love this
I made these a year ago and now that my piggies are grown ladies, I am making these again but bigger! They love them! Thank you so much for this video! You are the reason so many piggies have nice and comfy beds 😊😊 A tip! I also make "mattresses" to lay on the inside that have old towels instead of the lining on the inside, for better absorption. And I can wash those more often than the whole bed.
Thanks so much for your tutorial. I need to make a bed for a stray dog's puppy that got adopted. I am so excited. This will be a PERFECT GIFT for the puppy.
I always wanted to make one of these and your method makes it super easy! Thank you! My piggy actually doesn't use these as a cuddle cup, but flipped over as a tunnel hidey. He's a silly boy!🐹
Thank you for this vid... You make it look so easy one handed...LOL Just some tips i've learned along the way...You could sew a piece of uhual moving blanket to the top circle --- along with the badding... It will help wisk the pee away and keep the bed dryer in between washings... Also, you could sew a + in the bed (part they lay on) once its finished, to keep the badding from bunching up when washing and drying... But seriously --- Awesome vid...
Thank you so much for this, I made them yesterday for my 3 girls and they love them. Your instructions are so easy to follow and they didn't take me too long after I made the first one :) I have 3 happy piggies now and they even popcorn all over them lol
That was a great tutorial ❤️ I don’t have guinea pigs, but a couple of bunnies, so I’m going to be making them bigger ones. Awesome idea and good concise instructions 👍🏽👍🏽😍
To Lily Rousseau - instead of using the white stuff she recommended-just use the towel or other material to absorb. They also say to prewash the fleece several times, so it will absorb. New unwashed fleece just beads up the liquid. Or you could complete the project, measure your completed inside circle and add half an inch. Then cut 2 circles of fleece and 1 of absorbant to that size. Layer absorbant material, fleece, fleece. Sew along outside of circle using a 1/4 inch seam allowance; leaving a turning hole. Turn so both fleece are on the outside, and sew the hole.
Absolutely AMAZING video!! I have a large syrian hamster who I’ll be making one of these beds for! He loves to sit on cozy fabrics so I know this’ll be a hit! Thank you so much for this great follow along tutorial 🐹🐹🐹♥️♥️♥️
this worked great I changed it a little since I was using a needle and thread but it looks better than I thought it would this was a very clear tutorial thank you!
Thank you so much for this tutorial, I literally have not used a sewing machine apart from a few classes at school 15 years ago but your video was so clear and easy to follow that I managed to make two of these for my boys and they love them. Oh and I can't beleive how good you sew one handed!!!
Sewing is hard one handed!?! You sew better than me with one hand than I do with both hands!! Excellent Video thank you so much for making!! Please make more videos of cage stuff!
Not sure if youre reading this but I decided to do only one stripe and one circle beacause The fabric was thiccc and it was very hard to cut it when I cut it all i realized i had actually 2 pieces of fabric instead of one and now I have two beds for my pigs lmao
This is the best tutorial I’ve found so far, hands down!! Thank you sooo much!! Wondering if you happen to have any others, for tunnels or other piggy accessories?
i dont know if you check your comments anymore but im looking to make one and i have everything cut out. wondering if you use 1 or 2 layers of the cotton. also what needle might you have been using?
The batting shown and used in this video is Poly Fil polyester batting, even though it's being referred to as "cotton" batting, and isn't absorbent. An actual cotton batting would be fairly absorbent.
I always thought these looked too complicated but I did it!! Thanks soooo much for this clear tutorial and also you have some mad skills with that one handed sewing lol
G’day Guineas Aw thank you! I’m glad that I could be of help! 😊
Thanks for the amazing video! I just made 2 beds for my Guinea pigs and they came out really good!

Omg i love it i made this cuddle cup today, and it turned out so good!! I did use bathtowels instead of batting
You use a sewing machine better then me--with one hand XD Good video!
Very awesome, your instructions were point I’m going to attempt this
All she wants for Christmas is a camera tripod...lol
Thanks for the great instructions
Looks sooooo good!!! Maybe see if it works to put a tripod next to or on the opposite side of the machine? 😍
If I wanted to make a pee pad to go in it, what circumference would you recommend it to be?
Lily Rousseau I make them about 9.5” in diameter before being sewn.
I used an inch smaller template which fit perfect inside mine
Please make more videos on sewing stuffs for guinea pigs..
You did great!
Great video! made this and the piggies love it💗
Thank you for the tutorial! It turned out great!
Thanks for the great video. I'm just wondering if you have any dimensions for a larger cuddle cup?

Not sure if youre reading this but

This is the best tutorial I’ve found so far, hands down!! Thank you sooo much!! Wondering if you happen to have any others, for tunnels or other piggy accessories?
Would u-haul blanket work in place of cotton batting?
I nearly broke my back trying to get a decent 11" circle but I'm hopeful that the rest will be easy enough
Nice I love it
Would it help to add a layer of absorbant material in the middle?
I hand sew one of those the other day.
i dont know if you check your comments anymore but im looking to make one and i have everything cut out. wondering if you use 1 or 2 layers of the cotton. also what needle might you have been using?
Great tutorial, thank you for sharing. x
Great tutorial!
Just a heads up that batting is polyester but if that’s ok with you then it works fine.
How does this not have more likes and views???!!!
edit: btw you gained a subscriber ;D
Great video!
Merci !
GREAT VIDEO!!!
What if you don’t have a sewing machine would hand sewing work?
I think u did GREAT 👍with on me hand. I used both hands and mines doesn't look half as good as yours
When will you post again?
If I wanted to add a top to this how would I do that?
I just made a cuddle cup for my piggies out of an image in my head and i was sewing by hand and my hand hurts now but i think they’ll like it
I'm going to make these for my rats!
SUPER easy to follow, thank you! May I recommend investing in a tri-pod? lol! Thanks again, I will be making one (maybe 2) of these for my piggies!
I have one now luckily 😂 Future tutorials should be less shaky!
@@SquigglyPigs Thank you! I wasn't trying to be rude, I hope it didn't come off that way. I really appreciate this video :)
I'm kinda new to sewing. What is that sewing machine foot?
my2015Scene You know, I’m not sure! 🙈 it was the standard foot that came with my sewing machine. It says it’s a “D1524-555EAL”.
Is so cute
Thank you, hope to try it. Why one handed?
She’s filming
ME when she cuts the opening in the bed, SHE HAS THREE HANDS!!!!!
i was excited to see guinea pigs and hedgehogs in the bed !! :((((((
This was awesome! Best tutorial video I've come across. I do have one question though: How do you wash it? And it the cotton batting absorbent?
The batting shown and used in this video is Poly Fil polyester batting, even though it's being referred to as "cotton" batting, and isn't absorbent. An actual cotton batting would be fairly absorbent.
