    I bought it. It’ll be great for me when I don’t want to fire up my bigger hit tools. I agree on the plug but that’s what the carrying case is for. 😊

    That was my thought too, I'd worry about losing the plug! It really should be attached by a small flexible heat resistant material.
    I know all these companies look for way to cut costs for production but this would really be a selling point since it is so important in its function. Since they sponsored your video I'm sure they would take input seriously along with the fact you have been a stylist for a long time & have a good following here on RUclips. Let us know if the company responds to your input & perhaps they can address the issue & possibly give some type of fix for the current model.

    Very cool tool! Many, many years ago, I had a little curling iron that ran on lighter fluid. I loved it. Have a great time in Africa!!!

    It is a pretty cool gadget. I’ve had mine for several months and use it for a quick easy touch up. Once I remove the safety attachment I place it in the pouch so I don’t lose it. However I feel if it was attached, it would get in the way of styling your hair so either way I still enjoy using this little thing. Now we just need a straightener 😀 thanks for the videos and great tips 👍🏼😉

    Great little gadget but even before you said it, I was shouting at the screen "that little stop thing will get lost". Silly design. Cant believe it isn't attached and I bet you'd have to pay a fortune for a replacement one.

    Agree Justin, they should have that small thing attached in some way or other. The company will get customers complaining about that problem, which could result in them attaching it on future models.

    Thought the same thing when you removed the little plug! Surprised it wasn’t obvious to the design team. But I can imagine the functionality of the Porta is otherwise excellent. I have the TYMO hot air brush and it performs extremely well. Happy trails!

    I wish I had that for my vacation. I have the same hair as your wife....thin and wispy. It tends to frizz up in humidity. We went on a ride on one of the double decker busses and my hair frizzed out and my husband didn't tell me it looked terrible! I went in a bathroom and I was mortified! LOL. If I would have had this and some hair spray I could have fixed it! Instead it went into a bun for the whole trip.

    Yesterday I binged a bunch of your videos for inspiration. After letting my hair grow for a year it was time for a change. My hair was mid back and the longest I had worn it in a long time. I was tired of styling it and it just wasn’t looking or feeling good to me anymore. My stylist listened to my ideas, most of which came from you. My style is similar to Dionna’s but a bit shorter. My bangs were eyebrow length in January. They’re only below my cheek bone now but it’s nice to do something different after years of bangs. I’m looking for a faster styling routine and wondering if you would recommend this for at home styling? It looks faster than a flat iron. I’m not sure that I would style it on the go but like how easy it looks to use.

    Can this go inside a carry on bag to the plane?

  • @thekeyboardzone-kas
    @thekeyboardzone-kas 19 дней назад

    Purchased mine about a year ago and used it twice. I thought it did a pretty good job on my super-thin hair and thought it would be good for travel. So here I am, leaving for a weeklong vacay in a few days, and I pulled out all my stuff to pack. I have lots of hair tool options, so I've been flip-flopping on what to bring/not bring. I pulled out the Tymo to use it again after it's been sitting for a year. It was dead, of course, but it charged up just fine. So I went to use it, and it worked fine, but smoke was coming out of it, and it smells like something is burning inside. Obviously, it's now destined for the trash, since it's long past the return window. So with just two uses, it was a total waste of $$$. So disappointed!
    People that agree to be sponsored by these products should do an update after a year or so (assuming they kept the product) and let us know how it's going. And before doing so, they should also do their research (in their own comment feed and elsewhere) to see how it's working (or not) for others and address that compared to their own experience. That would be more helpful than just reviewing a new product that has little or no history in the marketplace.

    How to understand when it is charged🤔??? Because while charging, after 4 hours, the light continues to flash blue, but it does not stop at just blue or indicate that green means that the battery is full.... It just turns on and off with blue non stop 🙄

    If I could only find something modern that was chargeable and will curl my hair after camping for a couple of days. I have a Conair Thermacell curling iron that runs on butane but won't light in the low oxygen levels of the Colorado mountains. This one is a very small barrel which is also not ideal. I also have a rechargeable curler that sucks your hair in and rotates giving me really tight curls. I just want a normal amount of curl to keep my straight stringy hair from feeling so uncomfortably icky after a couple days of no styling.

      Sorry you feel that way. I definitely do integrations (and rarely I’ll do full videos that are dedicated to a product sponsorship). I only work with brands I truly believe in and would be sharing about regardless of the sponsorship. With that said, I appreciate those who can understand the amount of time, work and cost involved with running a channel and creating content. Integrations and sponsorships are what allow me to create content to help folks like yourself in a way that allows you to benefit for free. Another way to look at it, the sponsorships are paying for the video so that you don’t have to.
