Looks like you had a great range day.👊 I am hoping to get back to the range soon. I am curious about your magnifier & sight mounting. I have only begun to dabble, but I have several prisim sights and magnifiers, but mine have always been mounted much closer together. Has me thinking I need to revisist the magnifier between the shooter and sight.🤔 I currently have a really weird setup on one of my AR's. I have a 3X magnifier, then a 2X prisim sight, and another 2x forward magnifier. So with both magnifiers flipped out, I shoot the shorter distances, then the 3x magnifier behind the optic makes it a 5X for 75 to 150 yds, and with the forward magnifier flipped in, you have a 10X fixed optic, and the zero of the forward magnifiers appears to give you up to a 5 or 6 MOA alternate zero for longer distances. It is a completely impractical set up, but the fact it appears to work amazes me. I am still tinkering with them, but I am having fun with them.👍
I figured they needed to be stacked together to work, but because trying to have room for the brass catcher, started playing around with placement and need the eye-relief, so the magnifier needs to be way back. That setup you described sure sounds interesting. Getting eye relief with this magnifier is a challenge on the LC way more than this one & both have same Romeo.
@@ShastaBean Not sure, like I said, I have only began to dabble in them, I am definitely still learning. The cheap Monstrum ones from Amazon are decent enough to experiment with and they don't break the bank, they seem to work for me. But I have always been a traditional rifle scope guy, only been playing with these prisims and magnifiers about a year maybe.
Thank you for the update ! Great content !
