Jasmine is a knockout
Beautiful on the inside and out. 💖✨
Yes!!!!! There’s no way I could have done it. I would have cursed her out, to be honest!
I could never have worked with Wendy!! Lawrence, yes. You could tell he so wanted to change. Both of them, in different ways, need so much help. Hoping they continue to get it.
She didn't even bother to say Hello to Jasmine when she answered the door; Rude.
@@gillianbrookwell1678 Because she knew she was there.... the cameraman was already in her house. The magic of television!
I was so impressed with Jasmin's patience and care for some very difficult people. She really seems to be a lovely and compassionate being. Wish the world had more like her.
I dont think 'some very difficult people' is appropriate. They are people, at a place in their life, feeling dispair, frustration, abandonment, overwhelm, love, passion... it often represents both mental illness and a culmination. These are people at their wits end, don't call them difficult please. They are struggling, they are more than a negative behaviour and label. Their demons stare them down and they drown and can't cope. It's a struggle and immense change, growth, support, assistance and time must pass for salvation to be found ❤ imagine how scattering, abysmal, looming it is to invite someone in, live in it and start the battle!
@@louisejones3907 I'll play along with your little game of semantics. They are people most often with mental illness and bad habits and excuses, which makes them difficult/challenging to help. There. I fixed it for you. You're welcome. ☺
@@susancham6025 how evidently neurotypical you are and void of understanding, compassion, empathy or sympathy.
@@susancham6025 Just because you don't understand or recognize a disorder when you see it, doesn't mean it isn't real or with really big consequences and hardship. You show me your total lack of insight, sympathy and empathy. Or... should Jasmine run this show with your mantra of "you're just making up excuses"?! With your attitude and logic, anaphylactic allergies- are just someone being overdramatic. People whose blood won't clot should just try harder. Those with lactose intolerance should think themselves out of it. NO. Medical intervention, medication, treatment and therapy exist and are recommended, prescribed and worked through, for a reason. Obviously there is a problem going on as showcased in the program, but if you need a broken bone to see, and remove some facade of personal accountability and effort, and not THIS then it is what it is. Oh, and schizophrenia- what a hoax! Alzimers- stop pretending, we know you know. NOT. Conditions are real... your attitude is capable of causing great damage and negative consequences. But whatever, you do you.

Nothing like a good hoarder video to motivate me to clean and throw out more stuff.
Goes to show with circumstances that are challenging this could happen to anyone but especially to people who may be lonely 😢not checked on or helped along.
Everytime I need to purge and deep clean I find a hoarding show! Agree - motivational!!
@@nickki595 so right and you know when I watch Hoarders or Trash shows I can’t help feeling how lovely the people are really there’s a reason or more…anyway I just pray for them but there is always hope
Me too!!
Wow, Jasmine is doing such amazing work - she is so non-judgemental and recognises that hoarders are vulnerable people who are really struggling. This is so wonderful to witness.
Agree totally Jasmine is beilliant
She can’t judge them.
It’s like judging someone with an eating disorder or PTSD (in fact, hoarding is a part of PTSD).
It doesn’t help.
It’s not like someone collecting cars, this is someone who feels like if you take away their garbage - you kill a part of their soul and mental stability, but it’s to the point where they run out of physical space to even sleep. The walls of your sanity are closing in on you. Literally.
A lot of this garbage is liberal entitlement
I could not have let Wendy talk/scream at me like that. Jasmine is a freaking Saint.
Jasmine seems to be in the right career field for her. It's not a career many can do.
Me neither, I couldn't stick it. Jasmine is a lovely girl.
You have to have a lot of patience because these people are ill. They see value in all of their stuff so to them, you're throwing away their house. I believe that this is a case of realising she needs help but not being ready to accept it which is a phase that I went through in my depression.
I agree Wendy´s reaction is off-putting but she has a condition and this makes her see all suggestions as threats.
@@eleanorcooke7136 these people are very very sick
"I'm a very organized person, Jasmine, you see that" was the top quote of that woman who can not even walk through her house without stepping on stuff. :D
Jasmin’s journey with her own dear mother’s hoarding has made her a unique blessing of kindness and understanding for other sufferers. God bless you, Jasmin.
This is absolutely the BEST hoarding documentary I’ve ever seen! I’m glad I’ve found it. The host is amazing and made me cry at how much she cares.
Glad you enjoyed it!
God bless you
Really how can I find it??
Maybe she had a hoarder in her life. Someone she really loved and maybe couldn't help because she didn't know how yet.
I love her. She has great compassion!
I saw a previous programme about Jasmine's own experience with hoarding. I was so moved I wrote to the TV company and she replied to my email! A lovely person.
Wendy is a complete nightmare. Props to Jasmine for the patience she had throughout. "I'm a very organised person, Jasmine. You'll see that" Good Lord 🙈
Lol, seems you forgot to input "oh look, new socks" loooool.

@@sannhetenskalseire8873 😂😂😂
Hoarders are mentally ill. Mental illness can feel like a nightmare for the people who are affected. But they don't act like that on purpose, it's the illness that drives them.
She is, but it's because she clearly has disorganized thinking, and she seems extremely sensitive to quickly becoming overwhelmed with negative emotion. Her perception is so muddled.
She looks to be on the spectrum. Wouldn't be surprised if she never got diagnosed for it.
Jasmine is a very beautiful woman. Not only on the outside but inside more so.
I really admire her helping these people and with a true heart.
I feel sorry for Laurence, he seems to really want a change in his life🫂
@S JLA totally get what your saying, well expressed
That's rigth
@S JLA beautifully written. I recommend Viktor frankl man's search for meaning. I am at the same stage as you. We need to find our own personal meaning to our lives and as a society we don't seem to do enough teaching and educating at this level. Dumbing down in part via endless consumption. We need to live life and death with meaning if we don't want to lose our bearings.
@S JLA There are still some kinds of wisdom only older people can tell us, though. . . Like their personal experiences of living through events whose timelines we can google; but whose zeitgeist can only be described by someone who actually lived through them. This is wisdom I will always appreciate; and when I'm older myself, I hope I can share what I've learned when I lived through events which will someday be distant history.
Yes, I thought that if he is a very extrovert person I presume he'd like to be able to invite friends for dinner, tea or what not.
I’ve suffered from depression all my life. It comes and goes. But I’ve noticed that cleaning my house helps. When the house is airy and light, my mood begins to match it. Surroundings definitely have an effect on mood.
I agree
As Jasmine said, the past spills out into the environment and in this instance, it results in hoarding
Danke für diesen Kommentar!
I think if Lawrence got in a team of cleaners on for half a day and gave everything a good cleaning it would make a huge difference to his mood and motivation. Yes he has done wonders clearing out his house and he should be proud of that. It could be so much more enjoyable with clean windows and carpet and dust free curtains. Also the front garden could use a little help. I think all of that would make a huge difference and might help lift his depression. Best of luck to him, he seems like a good fellow.
I agree. I would be his friend and help him if I could. But I'm not in the UK
Lawrence is actually so close to finishing. 5 hours of intense cleaning could make all the difference in the world.
Bring cleaners is not a complete solution . Part of the therapy of the person with a hoarding disorder is that he or she should be in charge of the cleaning (as Lawrence is doing ) to encourage them and avoid the feeling of threathened by removing their possessions.
@@mainchannelofarondomguy I think if you re-read my post, you will see that that is exactly what I am advocating.

What a great way of describing the reaction of Wendy. Must feel like Christmas.
Jasmine spoke words of truth with love. This episode has inspired me to clean out my own hoard. I can relate to Wendy and Lawrence and I have hope again. Thank you all!

Laurence touches my heart. Bless him.
Wendy and all hoarders have a problem that is behind hoarding. Jasmine understands it. That is why she is good at helping.
She's not helping, she's hosting a TV show. When you see Jasmine looking like she's helping with the rubbish, it's all staged for the cameras for a couple of minutes then edited in to the program to make it look like she's getting her hands dirty.
@@Stringbean421 literally the opposite is happening, idk wtf you’re watching

Yah, but all hoarders does not persist in claiming they are very organised when they constantly find things in their piles they did not know where they were.
Any addiction (including hoarding) is a symptom of trauma/emotional distress, which needs to be addressed.
Jasmine, you are the kindest, most caring and thoughtful person. These people have a once in a lifetime opportunity having you to support them.
What a lovely lady Jasmine is. Genuinely caring, and wanting a better life for these people.
Jasmine is so full of love and compassion. It’s so clear even from her face in the moments when she isn’t speaking and the focus is elsewhere how kind she really is

@lizaldam2157 While you make a good enough point, you have to admit that she is closer to th *end* of her life than she is to the *beginning* of it.
Poor you Jasmine having to accept all that abuse.
She can step out after a couple of weeks knowing she helped them kinda back on track.
I agree. I kept wanting her to say, "I know you are frustrated and upset but you cannot treat people this way."
I'm amazed at the amount of things that I trashed after my husband died. Things i'd never think to ask him to throw out when he was alive. not that he was a hoarder or anything but between clothes, computer parts, childhood items, collectibles, etc. But we had no children. Who would want the things he held so dear? So much of it was turned over to the garbage man. It is amazing how your own sentimental items become so insignificant after your death. If you struggle with hoarding.....just think of what you're saving all those bags of items for? Will they be put to that use once you're dead or is someone coming in and just throwing out bags without even opening them?
Well yeah but if you´re in a loveless marriage, it's easier to decide to get rid of stuff you always wanted to get rid off.
If you care for the person a lot, you'd want their things to go to another collector or a museum, if it's really special.
@@Widdekuu91 No, lots of the things hoarders collect are just rubbish and most of the so-called collectables are either chipped and broken due to the weight of hoarded stuff on top of them, or they are half-rotten with mould. Barely anything purchased as a collectable isn't stored in sufficient safety to remain a collectable for long.
My son is going down the path towards being a hoarder. He's never suffered any sort of hardship, has received no lack of love or emotional support from either of his parents. There's no reason for this.
He wasn't much interested in cuddly toys when he was a child - but has now started collecting Japanese style anime toys for goodness sake. Goodness knows why, creepy looking things. He's got 2 boxes full under his bed and I've forbidden him to buy any more. I've tried to explain that he is far too old for toys and some children would really 'like' these. However, he won't let them go, keeping them under his bed.
His room is a terrible state. I tried to decorate it a little while ago, but it took hours to move wads of stuff from in front of one wall and stack it on the bed. None of it worth keeping.
I painted 2 walls and gave up. It just ends up with arguments, me telling him to throw 'this' or 'that' away because it's worthless trash.
He has a mould problem in the room now. Black mould. I've explained this is why he suffers allergies. I've proved to him that black mould is very dangerous to health and it could kill him. Doesn't want to know. Thinks he knows best and that spraying it with bleach occasionally is all he needs to do.
Wendy annoys me like crazy, because this is the resistance I get from my son. Like Lawrence, he hoards broken electronic equipment. It's started filling our spare room and the caravan - all to be fixed one day (he's never fixed one solitary thing yet).
Last things I found before giving up the decorating were 4 old, worn-out, broken sets of headphones. He told me to put them in the spare room 'to be fixed' (yeah, right) - they went straight in the bin. He's never asked where they are since. He's forgotten they exist, and I believe these hoarders forget 99% of the things they have hidden out of sight.
@@debbiehenri345 if you genuinely think he’s a hoarder then calling his stuff junk isn’t helping, it’s just making it worse. Sounds like he either he needs help or he’s fine and you are the one with the problem and need help. Like, who cares if someone collects anime stuff? A genre that is largely for adults, not for children. Maybe if you didn’t shame him for his interest he would store them or display them properly?
the idea of my mother talking so venomously about me on a random RUclips comments is horrifying, and she would never do that. It’s not supportive, it sounds like your own son disgusts you. Which is sad for you and for him and definitely suggests that there are more underlying issues that might be contributing any hoarding tendencies.
Don’t know though, if you need to vent maybe find professional, constructive help.
@@debbiehenri345 There are several stages of hoarding, you seem to throw them all on one pile (like a hoarder, forgive my pun.)
I'm so sorry Debbie that you got such an unpleasant reply. I hope that after a year you might see this. I have a child who is displaying these tendencies too and I absolutely sympathise. But we can identify the trauma that set it off. I think that Jasmine really hit the nail on the head when she talked about creating a little nest and removing the stuff and creating space was actually threatening because they then feel vulnerable. That made a lot of sense to me. The intention to fix things,to not waste things by throwing them away might be a bit different. Could he be anxious about money? Or the environment? I've known people hoarding because the waste of what we put into landfill and the ecological price of that is overwhelming and they feel like they're the only ones to stop that. And yes, quietly binning what won't be missed is the age old answer. It's been a year since your comment, hopefully things have moved on for you. But please know that most people would never dream of thinking about you the way the previous comment did🕊️❤️
I spent 3 years clearing out my grandmother's "cold war" style hoarding. Entire drawer full of rubber bands. Another, meticulously folded plastic bags of allll kinds. Her OCD prevented it from looking messy, but every cabinet, drawer, piece of furniture, THE GARAGE--packed to the gills. It was difficult for me because everything was IMMACULATE. Like a time-capsule from all the way back to 1920. I've finished. I sold the more expensive stuff online, donated a TON, gave things away to collectors, and then hired an estate person who made the rest *poof, disappear and money appear in it's stead. THREE YEARS. I'm a minimalist. and damn, I have 2 plates in my cabinet and will never need nor acquire more. The amount of china this woman has. Mind-blowing.
Wow ! Wendy won’t respect her friend. Talking over him and interrupting him. I wouldn’t hang around too long.
New found respect and admiration for Jasmine. So much empathy and caring ! Beautiful work x
Jasmin is such a wonderful caring person..
I’m sorry but Wendy is the worst hoarder in any hoarder documentary I’ve ever seen. She is ungrateful, rude and completely resistant to change. I understand that the clearing out of their possessions is extremely anxiety-inducing and stressful, but that doesn’t mean you have to be so aggressive and obnoxious. She vile.
Yes
She’s rude and ungrateful
These problems are very complex, and disturbing! Resistance, denial, and real twisted mental illness like these hoarders live in ..... seems too bizarre, and self defeatist, to even begin to manage, and cure! ..... Very sad! 💥💓👍💕
Totally 😟 and to think Wendy was a teacher -She must have been a scary one 😅
I agree she is rude, but it's important to remember anxiety manifests in many ways. It's particularly common for anxiety to manifest as aggression and anger in men, but I think it occurs here in Wendy and we see her at her wits end, frustrated and angry with herself as much as anyone she is berating.
@@emma.greenwood I so wish life, and human behavior made more sense! .... It gets hellish to watch horrifying situations, and damages!
Wendy is horrible, the ways she speaks to people is so unnecessary. Its amazing to me that she has any friends.
Giovanni, what a guy!
As much as I understand that this must be incredibly stressful and emotionally upsetting for these people, I feel that Wendy was being incredibly rude to jasmine, bottom line is, she asked her and her team for help and every time she tries to help, Wendy just shouts at her and gets really short tempered, I think she’s just incredibly rude 😕
Acting like a child, throwing a tantrum, cutting someone off to end the argument, is very common.
Yes she’s a very disturbed person
I agree. Wendy’s temper tantrums are more than I could take. She was SO RUDE to the people who were there to help her. I would have walked out and left her to it…..😡🤬🤬😡
This is common behavior for hoarded and the therapist is remaining calm as she should Wendy feels out of control.
It’s an addiction and illness. She’s prob not acting rationally. Also drama sells.
I know a lot of hoarders live with a great deal of trauma.... but they also pass along the trauma by controlling others with anger.
They’re, a lot of times, horrible people. Not all, but most are cantankerous, and delusional, and down right spiteful.
@@pommiebears Very self absorbed as well.
Hoarding shows in UK: Fokus on the metal health that causes the problem
Hoarding shows in US: Fokus on the biggest hoarding they can find
I prefer the UK version waaaay over the US format, because it actually shows the root cause!
In defense of the US shows the therapist is there well before the cleanup crew and are dealing with them throughout the process in those. On this show some hot lady shows up to throw away everyone’s stuff and only calls the therapist after they snap at them which most of the US shows straight up tell everyone not to do when the hoarders friends and family always come in and that happens.
Basically the American shows are an example of using cleanup as group therapy where as this is more of a social experiment (throw their stuff in a warehouse and see how they cope) since they’re more just observing with minimal interference.
The American Hoarders do have a therapist there, as well as after care in the form of therapy, organizers, movers, etc. American hoarders does focus on the emotional issues behind hoarding. The hoarders in America does do their best.
Jasmine is a television presenter, not a psychiatrist or psychologist. Her experience is dealing with her mom and that’s all.

It takes so much courage to open up about your hoarding problem and so much more courage to let anyone at all, let alone the whole world see the extent of your hoarding problem.

It was so rewarding and heartwarming to watch Lawrence succeed. 🎉 He needs to learn to be kind to himself and just keep going. I felt extremely bad for Jasmine the way Wendy treated her. Many times it bordered on abuse and that was completely uncalled for.

I think a game of Hoarder Hippo's would work. Throw all the hoarders 'stuff' in an incinerator and let them grab back their valuable stuff before it turns to toast. To give it that extra interest they can only use their mouth to pull stuff back like in the game hungry hippo's :)

She’s not nasty to jasmine, hoarding is a severe mental illness and she’s exhibiting a defense mechanism.
This is an amazing journey. Yes, Wendy is super complicated but even she achieves goals. And that's honorable. As Jasmine said at the end: They don't need judgements, they need support - and with the right support miracles can happen. Some can be handled easier, some are a stressful nightmare.
This is the best documentary series - genuine tenderness for people who are so disconnected from themselves, isolated and lonely. It’s heartbreaking that each one of us or neighbours could be feeling like this. It’s not about the stuff, it’s about purpose and connection.
Jasmine is stunning and such a wise warm hearted woman with it. Very intelligent.
Jasmin is such a wonderful person. Incredible.
Yes she is
Love how they really helping people with their house and mind! 🥰
I don’t have the patience it takes to cope with people like this. It’s one of my least likeable traits. I’m mostly a kind, generous person. But, I couldn’t keep my tongue from giving certain folk whiplash over this. They often seem so…..ungrateful.
Here we have: 2 hoarders, one is just a lovely soul and the other one is... well, Wendy. 🙈
She is unwell, but I would get driven around the bend if I had to interact with her
I've dealt with people who were either autistic or have ADHD. I feel Wendy may be undiagnosed. To be successful, this should be the first step.
I was thinking the same.
I see ADHD. Ex partner was the same...
Yes I think ASD too
Exactly what I was thinking the whole time
100% I am still waiting for an official diagnosis for myself, thanks to the current pandemic, however, I have spoken to two therapists who are sure I am ASD, and while I hope I don't get as aggressive as Wendy, I can see a lot of myself in her. The details, how every story needs to be explained, how I must make sure anything I get rid of is done in an organised way (my home is relatively clear, but I probably still have a bit too much stuff).
Wendy's friend Giovanni is a real sweetheart. Everyone could use a friend like him.
Wendy really is immature emotionally. Hoarders seem to have this problem. They cant deal with emotional stress like an adult. It's a terrible shame.
I experience very similar situation with my partner though not to the extend of the hoarders presented here. Its so challenging to deal with day in day out
Yep.
She mentioned not feeling loved by her mother and I think that's at the root of a lot of it.
It's not their fault though, it's a very serious mental illness and they often suffer with lots of other mental illnesses as well
I agree. She is very childish and acts like a brat. She really needs therapy.
I would have been incapable of showing this much compassion to someone like Wendy, major props to Jasmine for keeping at it. The level of denial that poor woman is in just boggles the mind. I wish her well.
It's all such a huge fire risk to her.
These people need therapy before and during these clean outs, otherwise, they just go back to their old ways like this man here.
I love Jasmine and how calm and understanding she is. She is respectful and makes sure the individuals consent to the actions taken. This is the way to help!
"Would you like some fruitcake?" Yes, I am very keen on eating anything in this kitchen, very tempting!
I felt repulsed when she offered that.
One thing I have found is about 50% of hoarders often donate large sums of money to charities. One of Jasmine's previous episodes an elderly woman donated to homeless shelters but the ironic thing is she has so much garbage in her house she was virtually homeless as she couldn't live in it. I think she needs to concentrate on her own predicament rather than worrying about others right now.
That often comes from a lack of self worth and believing other people's needs are always more important than your own. Caring for others is also a distraction from whatever's waiting for you at home.
Jasmine is amazing. Using her own experiences and personal pain to help others would take a toll.
I understand people wanting to keep decent things but I don't get keeping trash, empty food cans, etc.
Same here. I used to live with a hoarder who saved bags from fast-food restaurants. The bags were standing open on the floor of his bedroom. I don't recall if there were napkins and wrappers in them and such in them. Tragic to have a mind so scrambled and to be so scared of letting go that people hold on to that stuff. This may sound odd but I wonder if seeing what they used is like a diary for some people and when they let go of something they let go of a part of their past. I keep a diary in a blank book and I love to throw things out!
@@andrewbrendan1579 I think that's possible. My sister in law and her adult son are hoarders, although not as bad as this show, and he wants to keep every sales flyer even after the sales are over. Her mind is scrambled and she's always late on doing taxes, stuff like that. It's a different mindset too. They have mice and snakes and it just doesn't bother them much. I also love to declutter. I would declutter a lot more if my husband would let me!

Wendy is a truely horrible person. My god. Jasmine was an angel dealing with her when she was being screamed at.
She has an anxiety disorder. A response to anxiety is lashing out at other people, unfortunately. That is why it is important that a mental health provider present during the clean out, like the American show “Hoarders.”
She's not horrible, she was under a lot of stress. When she had to do something she didn't like she became angry, people backed off, but given time she did what was asked. Negative attention seeker. She looked a lot happier at the end .

Jasmin is such an lovely person. Patience and empathy could not be better described than just watching that documentary with her. Wish more people are just like her
Jasmine seems an amazing person. Pretty, kind, caring and compassionate
Wendy: When your own thinking has gotten you into a terrible mess, and you fervently believe the only way out is your own thinking.
Love it. So true and unfortunately funny even though it's deadly serious.
Jasmine has the patience of an angel due to the experience with her mother. Wendy is a challenge.
Jasmine deserves a medal such a beautiful person
I agree but when Wendy starts ordering Jasmine to move stuff from one room to another, Jasmine did so, thus enabling her drama. I'm glad Jasmine did get her to let go 1/3 of her stuff but this was too much for anyone to bear.
@@barbie-fz4oo quite - I guess we also only see a highliy edited version. Im sure Jasmine has learnt so much from all ofthese encounters would be good to know what her current thinking on the best way to deal with this disorder
I love how you take things and put every single one of them in a a space where you can see them! Very helpful. So inspiring
Thanks for sharing this episode! I saw the other ones a few years ago, but must have missed episode 3.
Wendy just wants to complain for the sake of complaining. I want I should have me me me me !!!! You got yourself into this you have been given help but none of it is good enough. Leave her to wallow in it.
This Jasmine's a real princess, isn't she? She doesn't get rattled no matter what these clients throw at her.
He seems like such a lovely man. Someone you'd like to know and spend time with... I hope he's doing better today!!
That teacher lady made me cry. Mr therapist was amazing considering the wall she put him. Bravo both of them.
Thanks🙏🏻✊🏻 to all of the people, who going to this show. We all need more clear space and clear mind in our lives. And this people give as a big example and motivation. Thanks to all!😍❤️
Wendy yells at Jasmin because she's mad at herself. God bless Jasmin for putting up with it, I couldn't.
Lawrence is a sweetheart. I would help someone like that. I hope he has an amazing rest of his life
I can almost understand hoarding things like appliances or clothes, that might be fixed or used or given to someone. But I cannot understand hoarding rubbish like food packages, bottles and cans. It’s garbage, put it in the rubbish bin or the recycling bin, don’t carpet your floors with it. Easy, even for someone with a disorder.
I just don’t get throwing trash on the floor
My mom hoarded papers and trash. She had piles and boxes all over the floor. She loved her old papers and rotten trash. Tina
@@alanbirkner1958 wow that’s awful
Helpers are amazing people, carring and giving respect.
Thank you Jasmine
This is quite a powerful show. I very much appreciate the lack of drama in its production.
The very sad thing about Wendy that I wish someone would tell her is that when she dies, that the possessions will be tossed in a dumpster and have no value to anyone. Why is she tormenting herself living with things that have no value? When she set foot in the warehouse with her stuff and kept saying 'where did that come from?' 'that isn't mine' 'where on earth did you find that?', I think Jasmine really missed an opportunity to there, to make a point.
I think that Wendy should have set herself a goal and a project. She had those lovely cards and memories of her mother - clean out the garbage, and hold onto the things that have personally touched her - and make a beautiful frame to hang those things in on her cleaned out walls. I was horrified when I heard she had that warehouse for a month.
And as wonderful as Jasmine is, I can't help but think that they needed to have someone there who has professional experience with individuals that have OCD/ADHD/Autistic tendencies that limit their ability to deal with the hoard. She needed more than what a production crew and the daughter of a hoarder could give her, really. That woman will die surrounded by garbage and the first thing that will happen is it will all be shovelled out into a tip.
This program is in desperate need of professional support!
Jasmine has no idea how to properly push and challenge the hoarders. Apologizing and backing down doesn’t work.
Jasmine did bring in a psychiatrist to talk to Wendy in this edition, as she didn't feel that Wendy would ever make any progress unless she faced her demons properly. It seemed to have some effect.
@@sarcasticallyrearranged You don't " push and Challenge" people with hording disorder or other mental health issues as that can lead to self harm and suicide.
Jasmine so kind and has a truly big heart she truly cares abiut the people she trying to help
Jasmine is so compassionate even though Wendy is a horror ! Laurence is so sweet 🥲 I hope he has been able to keep it up and that his life has improved.
Ok I'm just 7.5 minutes in and they agreed to sort in a warehouse space. This makes me so happy!! It's the best way to do it. The Brits have the answers, no drama, no yelling 🐸👏🥰👨🦰👶🌴
My parents were hoarders in different way. They lived during the US depression and kept food in different places (3 freezers) as if they might need it some day. The house was always neat as a pin, so you'd never know.
I am so proud of Lawrence because he wanted to and worked for it and was so willing to be open with things that hurt.. I find the males in this show to be so more willing, there kinder and more open in both themselves and there homes and it’s strange because I assumed it would be the female who would be.
I hope Lawrence is happy and healthy and enjoying a clean space, I hope he has found himself and his people again because what a genuine soul✨. Just want to come give him a cuddle and sit and have a blether with him and let him know he has more than just his stuff x
did you visit?
Jasmine has so much compassion and empathy for these people because of her mothers addiction on top of being a beautiful person. I bumped into her mother one day in London and as she saw I recognised her she greeted me warmly. I hope that she is doing ok.
As someone who's gone through a deep depression, the recruitment of others is so important. For some reason it is SO difficult to motivate yourself and handle everything on your own, but when you have others joining you to clean and such, you almost get inspired and its so much easier. And if you struggle with for example keeping things clean, then please dont be embarrassed to for example hire a cleaner that helps you once a month, just to keep on top of everything. Ive accepted the fact that when I'll live alone again at some point, I'll hire a cleaner. Ive got to get rid of the embarrassment of not being able to clean on my own and just accept help and be happier that way. To accept accommodations into your life is not accepting defeat or some huge embarrassment! ❤
Jasmine well done for helping mad people in a mess
The presenter lady has the patience of a saint, I’d have lost my temper and burned the whole hoard to the the ground and danced around the bonfire it all made.
You have to be with hoarders.
It’s like saying: the presenter of the show about anorexia is a saint for not telling them to “suck it up and just eat”.
Hoarding is a severe mental illness.
Anorexia is connected to the physical body, and hoarding is connected to physical objects inside your personal space.
But it’s a severe mental illness.
It’s not about being kind of understanding, it’s like expecting a physiologist not to judge someone with mental illness. Judging doesn’t help.
