Mack e6 engine install and timing issue

  • Had engine rebuilt by machine shop and after install had a crank no start. They had not timed injection pump gear to cam correctly.

    Them old mack E6 engines were tough

      They sure were, we ran em in DM’s they pulled like a much bigger motor and did good between overhauls 👍🇺🇸 and didn’t sound bad through a short chrome stack either.

    i believe you also have to time the injection pump using an A B light for VMac and non-VMac injection systems, whoever worked on it before must be used to cat engines cause heui pumps on cats dont need timing!

      A/B light is used on E-7 engines. This is an E-6. You used a fuel flow timing pump Assy.
