I'm a tile installer and I was at a house working today and this happened luckily the customer believed me and the company is replacing the glass. Some customers I've worked for would of probably blamed it on me but I blame it on the ac vent inches away from the slider door and the heat wave outside.
Our rear window on 2017 Ford Transit campervan spontaneously exploded yesterday while I was laying down (it about gave me a heart attack). Luckily we have custom magnetic window blinds because my face was about a foot from the window. Ford has been incredibly irresponsible about covering the replacement of the defective window, even though we provided pictures and a video shortly after it exploded with the sound of the glass continuing to crack.
Nickel sulfide inclusion. That is why the glass broke. When the metal nickel gets into the glass mixture, it is an impurity that cannot be seen or detected. In the tempering process, it creates a pressure point when it cools. 10 15 20 years later it can spontaneously break like this. As a glazier, I see this probably once every 2 weeks in my profession
I remember about 15 years ago, just chilling in the front room of my parents house and randomly we hear this nasty sound and we see the front door glass all cracked up. It was so bizarre to see. Nobody did anything to it and it just shattered.
I had a glass desk break on me randomly and the fact that it happened on a really hot and sunny Texas day, after I’ve had it for TEN YEARS could mean I’m a rare case
Bruh i was about to sleep and the wind was so strong that my window broke and oml lots of wind went into the room making a big mess, not to mention the glass, So So So So So Soooooo Scary
Thought someone had thrown something at my window but like…good luck, it’s so thin and far from the street. Nobody on doorbell cam. I think this was a case of it just breaking on its own ._.
It happened to me i picked up a glass door to move it to the side as i picked up it exploded on my hands cuts two of my fingers I didn’t know what happened I thought maybe I bumped into something
@@joeslinky no, there are no flames. Combust means to consume by fire. Picture if you over inflate your car's tire. It will eventually explode. There is no flame, no fire.

my shower cabin glass penel exploded at night. Now i’ve decided to avoid large glass items as much as possible
This just happened in my kids room. We are in Southern California...it’s cold but no real extremes of weather
6-8 weeks!!!! Jesus, 7-10 working days MAX! And as for these panels exploding, it happens... but usually with really cheap glass.
There's no such thing as cheap glass or expensive glass when it comes to tempering.

Combust? Explosion? Do you even know what those words mean??
When tempered glass breaks, it literally explodes with an extreme amount of energy
