This was a refreshing conversation ! I feel like we are very sheltered here in America. It makes me truly appreciate how God favors his Christian nation, and how important it is that we keep the faith alive here 🙏
As an American with love of country and God, thank you both for having a genuine conversation of what I've been trying to communicate to people for years.
He speaks the truth. “It's your obligation to speak the truth, and everyone can either take it or leave it. But truth must be in us. We live in such a poverty of truth today.”
Thankyou Andrew and Ruslan for this conversation. Hearing Andrews story really puts into perspective his passion for the gospel and preaching the truth of the word. God bless fam 🕊️
I’ve seen clips of this guy speaking online and it definitely seems more like a Ted talk than a church sermon. Not saying I disagree with all that he says but many of these modern day evangelical pastors shouldn’t be a pastor and should just be a podcast host
I cannot believe this guy left Coptic orthodoxy for Protestantism? A lot of his concerns with the western protestant world is solved in the orthodox world as we pride ourselves on being as flexible as tungsten
Orthodox and Coptic described as a “sect”. And Protestantism is what? The egocentric view of evangelicals is breathtaking. Zero understanding of Christian history or The Bible in Christian history
Many could say the same of the Catholic regarding ego, or nearly any group. (I don't recall this being a point on the video, anyway. Or was it when he was speaking about the state of affairs when they left Egypt?) It is better when we remind each other of what we share in common than denigrate each other over differences. Arguing over history is not a not great victory . Matters of concerns over doctrine are worth discussion, but respectfully. There have been many legitimate concerns historically with Rome. Else the majority of Luther's concerns would not have been adopted the Vatican afterwards. Ultimately, our purpose is to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the world, and to follow His teaching in our own lives. And the book of Romans has a lot to say about not condemning ones brother over difference in following the dietary laws of the Jewish people or not, and other examples. It can do more harm to drive people away by public fighting over tradition. I agree that there are many in the protestant world that don't know the full history beyond the New Testament. But there are many that do. There is much we can learn from this history. I was doing reading today from Chrysostom and Theoderet and Jerome in some ongoing studies. And while it attempted to be so, Roman Catholicism is not fully monolithic, and of course Protestantism is not either. There are many under that badge that value history and the teachings of following Church leaders as much as the Roman Catholic. Christ speaks of showing love to brother, neighbor, and enemy. In matters of difference, especially when on married of the highest import, the truth is to be spoken, in the proper time and way ," instead, acting according to the truth in charity, we should increase in everything, in him who is the head, Christ himself." (Ephesians 4:15, Catholic Public Domain Version- RSVC and others have it as "speak the truth in love).
I really like how Ruslan pushed back on some of the things Andrew was saying or at least tried to balance the liberal scrutiny with a non-hypocritical approach and pointed out the true racism, discrimination, and attacks that conservatives believe in. Cudos!
@ I didn’t actually know that. Also are you sure she’s the pastor of their church I thought they just helped out. Anyway if she is, We all have areas of scripture we reason away as not applying for to day or for us because of…. Insert reason. We also may stretch the exceptions sometimes. So we should be gracious to one another about secondary issues.
@@Ironsharpensiron89 and I also agree with you, Pastor Andrew Sedra has his heart in the right place, and he teaches Gods word, but “there is none good but one, that is, God”
This guy seems legit, but he lost me when he compared all the liberal churches "going wild" to the Catholic Church. Additionally, the Israel vs. Palestine conflict isn’t fundamentally about Islam; it’s about territory. And Ruslan bringing Candace Owens and Tucker Carlson into the conversation as examples of opposition to U.S. involvement in the conflict doesn’t really make sense in this context.
I think the only think I disagree with is calling organizations like Hillsong and people like Tim Keller left-wing liberal progressive when they’re just more cautious about how they talk about certain issues (sometimes to a fault). I disagree with his theistic evolution position, but calling Keller a lib is an L.
I can’t speak on Tim Keller as I’m not too familiar with what he teaches. And I would normally agree with what you said about generalizing an entire organization but being “careful” is one thing, what Hillsong leaders have repeatedly done by dancing around questions in regards to basic Christian doctrine is a completely different story.
Not willing to say The Truth or to suffer for it is a massive failure of faith. This aversion to suffer for Christ is a clear sign this is a false church. Where are their martyrs ? No room for it in prosperity doctrine
The failure of speaking The Truth and to suffer for it is a huge failure of faith and a clear example of a false church. Where are their martyrs? No room for it in prosperity doctrine. How would they fair under direct persecution? It would immediately serve the oppressive power.
@@davidciarallo763but it doesn’t mean they’re progressive, it just means they’re seeker sensitive. Promoting left-wing agenda is progressive; not being willing to condemn it is just being wishy-washy.
When we know the truth it instructs us how we view things like politics. Of course someone’s worldview will affect their views on politics. You simply don’t like the worldview. Are Christian’s allowed to have their own opinions about politics? Should Christian’s be silenced? Should Christians not be allowed to have the same rights as others?

Andrew is one of the few pastors bold enough to preach on subjects that we westerners find “uncomfortable” - Love this man
Ruslan looked uncomfortable hearing what many of us think. ¡Viva Cristo Rey!

Truth bombs. Wow. Amazing. I love this. I cannot agree more.
Love this guy. God bless him.
If this guy had a church close to me I'd attend in an instant.
Andrew is the man.

Dude said thank the Lord for colonialism. Hahahahaha
I love this video. Very interesting and profound things that need to be spoken about. God bless ❤

Am I the only one that thinks calling Tim Keller a progressive Christian is kinda nuts?
No. Ruslan agrees with you
I agree as well
The Protestant church yes
A lot to unpack on here. Some things I agree with, some I don't, some things I feel he's being a bit extreme on. Have to sit with this one. Good talk.

Where’s the proof?
It’s better than leaning extreme right. 🤷🏾♂️

Did you get that from this interview, or any other interview? He def does not come off liberal
This guy is WAYYYYY too radical and infuses his political views too much in with his religious beliefs. He’s not sincere.

Everything he said was well reasoned and truthful
What if its the other way around? His religious beliefs are fused into his political views.
