1:43 brought a tear to my eye. I did not know this was from Brahms! How many little children (including myself) have been lulled to sleep by this masterpiece. Also, I am stunned how many modern songs sound so much better on a classical instrument. What remains of our pop songs in a few centuries remains to be seen, however.
They are different styles of music Classic, Barouque, Romantic, Rococco, counterpoint, etc. Many today just label all of these music spanning hundreds of years as "Classic" which isn't correct as they are vastly different styles. I imagine hundreds of years from now on people will not be able to tell the difference between styles of various contemporary music and will label any music from 1900 to 2300 as just POP. They won't be able to differentiate between techno, heavy metal, death metal, rock, disco, funk, jazz, or even rap. They won't know difference between Justin Beiber , Rolling Stones, Beatles, Elvis, Snoop Dog, or Metalica. Will sound same to them. They will just say it's all pop music made out of some electronic sounds available during that period. Only historians and true music experts in that time period will differentiate but common folks will wonder what the big deal is and why the different styles since "they all sound the same."

When I was a teen my parents would scream at my older brother for listening to Led Zeppelin. I would play Pink Floyd Shine on Crazy Diamond on the piano and my mother said that is so pretty is it Beethoven. I said no mom. it is Wagner. My brother would give me a really dirty look.
I'm shocked, Vinheteiro looks at the camera while playing most pieces of the classical masters, but must look at the piano keys while playing Barbie Girl !
I like pop songs but i gotta say i like classical more, whenever someone tells me to play a piece in a piano but its pop, i wont play it, well.. only if its good. Respect ✊
Interesting that the build up introduction, which sets the stage, and any sort of coda have all but gone now as the audience demands the RH melody almost instantly.
Queen fact of the day: when queen went to Hungary for a tour, the recording of the concerts in that country were grouped in an album and named hungarian rhapsody
This was so lovely to watch and reminded me why I took up piano lessons a few years ago. I need to get back into it. Thank you for reignited my musical soul ❤
In the past, songs were more focused on melodies and harmonies with all the notes sort of blending together, now music is more focused on rhythm and there aren't as many notes
Not that "pop music" of the past was much different. "Moonlight sonata" is very different from "Camptown Races", although they are roughly the same age.
I have in fact saved this video as a reference document as it will allow me to listen to composers how's music is delightful but who's name's I did not know (Or can't always remember). PS I only discovered you this week and subscribed today even before you told me to😁

Did not expect to see Maiden in this mix. Awesome video.
Can you believe that him playing Maiden in this vid is what got me into metal 6 years ago?
Ahhh “Clair de Lune” is my favorite. My mother used to play that all the time on our upright piano. Such sweet memories.
Thank you ,,, I love this piece. in it's entirety

Never thought I'd hear Barbie Girl as a piano piece. Made it sound more sophisticated ;)
Galligator i beg your pardon... Its what god dances in heaven parties... Its the most sophisticated song ever
When I was a teen my parents would scream at my older brother for listening to Led Zeppelin. I would play Pink Floyd Shine on Crazy Diamond on the piano and my mother said that is so pretty is it Beethoven. I said no mom. it is Wagner. My brother would give me a really dirty look.
it is complicated
I'm sure a man of such trifling ability as Bach would feel honoured to be included alongside those musical titans Aqua.
Should definitely have been included.... And Rakhmaninov, of course

I'm shocked, Vinheteiro looks at the camera while playing most pieces of the classical masters, but must look at the piano keys while playing Barbie Girl !
because his probably not used to play that
i would be worried about him if he was as good at barbie girl...!!! :)
If you watch his interviews you LL know How much he hates pop songs
I like pop songs but i gotta say i like classical more, whenever someone tells me to play a piece in a piano but its pop, i wont play it, well.. only if its good. Respect ✊
😂
Plot Twist: He looks at the camera because that’s where the sheet music is.
This is hypothetically the best comment on this video, but I'll be damned if I'm going to look at nearly 32,000 other comments to be the judge.
Awwwhhh, man! You ruined the creepy stare from a super talented pianist. Hehehe, still a barrel laughs. Peace🙂✌
Bro noo he learned this
but he doesnt move his eyes at all
Yoof yess he knows these songs
Interesting that the build up introduction, which sets the stage, and any sort of coda have all but gone now as the audience demands the RH melody almost instantly.
Honestly I like the old music better when it comes to piano
I like 1900 - 2000 best
Dance of the knights is best
1770 ones the best
I can see the dissapointment in his eyes playing despacito

Terima kasih Bro...anda memainkan The Entertainer - Scott Joplin (1902) yg lama saya cari, tapi gak tau siapa yg memainkannya..Bravo..!!!
You can see how disappointed he is playin' despacito.
That looked like anger as he stares into our souls and asks why we let this happen.
In 500 years people will look at this video and will be able to pinpoint the exact moment civilization went downhill
What's wrong with it in your opinion thou?
This was so lovely to watch and reminded me why I took up piano lessons a few years ago. I need to get back into it. Thank you for reignited my musical soul ❤
You know he is a real man when he knows how to play “Barbie Girl” on the piano.
Real men can wear pink
очень нравится как он легко исполняет любые композиции, не зацикливаясь на стилях и направлениях музыки!
This brought me back to my musical school days from 30 years ago. Love it! You're incredibly talented! :)
You know it’s hard to play when he actually looks at the piano
Alick Chung one of the best songs of all time too

In the past, songs were more focused on melodies and harmonies with all the notes sort of blending together, now music is more focused on rhythm and there aren't as many notes
Literally all pop songs are just d d d d d c db c a
Not that "pop music" of the past was much different. "Moonlight sonata" is very different from "Camptown Races", although they are roughly the same age.
This guy explained to the world why i think that music after the 1950’ is total shit
Classical is the best!
In other words, clearly mostly inferior music
@@cozzaronero It's all relative, and a matter of taste.
No textbook required. It's really amazing to perform the history of music on one piano without looking at the score.

I like how it went from Canon in D to Despacito in 6 minutes
And 17 seconds xD
Canon in D is actually very modern if you look at the chords and everything
PassionateBlondeMusician I think he means: From almost a Masterpiece to a low produced chart song.
Vapor Wave - sama it's sad :(
Mingze Yu canon in d has a big influence on music over the years and it's played in almost all wedding ceremonies all over the world. i say it is a masterpiece and not just "your typical 6th grade orchestra song"
For most of us, this is the first time we have ever heard his voice!
