CLU was an amazing villain. Even in this, he didn’t need to many scenes. Although we already knew he was evil, those scenes perfectly told us that he was a bad guy. The guy who voiced him did an amazing job, too!

I can't believe it. I just watched Tron Legacy last night and I could not hear the difference between Fred Tatasciore and Jeff Bridges. I always found Tatasciore easy to recognize usually but this is a master class of mimicry.

its almost a pity the Programs in the show don't have interesting eye color that flicker or something... seriously, i could almost see, when CLU says "Good... Let's keep it that way" that his eyes flicker yellow, signifying just how far his directive made him into this
That last "Good" he says just makes me fear for what we know will happen at some point. Beck being repurposed or worse derezzed, and Tron becoming Rinzler.
Repurposing is worse than getting derezzed....you basically get shred of every memory and relationships you had, then controlled to follow every order. Basically an obedient zombie.

I love how Clu knew that Tron was alive while Tesler still thought he was dead. That would’ve made an awesome moment in Season 2 when he hears the words “Tron lives” from his own boss.
I really like all the clu's speech's, the one from Tron Evolution on the Game Arena, the one here on uprising and the one on Legacy. He just knows how to controll the masses pretty well. It's a very charismatic character when it comes to that kind of actions.

Also months ago a season 2 storyboard ended up on RUclips which proved they were in the works of a new Season until they stopped midway with the show being Cancelled. All we can do now is hope we get another movie but both are probably not going to happen again and if they do it won't be for so many years

I love it when they try to make the voices sound like the live action actors. Clu was perfect. He sounded so much like jeff bridges. It makes the animation much more immersive
3:07 I like to think that those colored spires and buildings in this scene each serve a distinct purpose in Clue's empire. The following as I would imagine these colored structure's functions; the Redish-orange spire, military headquarters, Yellow spires, clue's central citadel and main "palace" respectively, The greenish spire and base structure (just below the yellow spires), Might be some sort of prestigious medical and technical research center/university-type deal (can Programs pursue a higher education?), and finally the 4 White spires, may be a part of some kind of administrative district and overseeing the empire's infrastructure or in charge of the municipalities for the empire's cities, if not atleast the main/capital city here, interestingly these buildings seem to be spaced apart more so than the former groups of structures.

It's amazing how they got Flynns clone Clue so impressingly badass. One smiled "Good" and even if you don't know what the hell is going on, you know you look into the eyes of a psychopath. And that in a kids show. Tron was always different. I love every iteration of it and I bag to the gods, that part 3 will be handled with the respect, this story deserves.
Yes it really sucks i still think it could be brought back one day Young Justice was a great show and got canceled but it was brought back through the streaming service and now that we hear disney is making a streaming service its possible we could get the show back

1:10 was the first time we saw Flynn with actual armor on since the original 1982 film. I like the simplicity of it and how it contrasts to Clu’s more….can’t really think of the word but I’m thinking over the top or uneven or erratic
4:07 when I was a kid and I saw this I shit myself and then got sad after I found out that Tron Uprising got cancelled😣 I was so mad but I still love Tron Uprising. 2019 anyone?
1. This is a bloody good Bridges impression considering it isn't him. 2. I adore this art style. Yes, the gangliness takes a bit of getting used to, but I like that's it's not the "Knockoff Anime" style everything goes for now. It's like bits of animation from the States, Europe and Japan all rolled into one, and there's almost definitely other styles in there that I'm not clued (PUN!) up on enough to see.
You know, as awesome as of a show as this was, it's also kinda sad since we know how it ends. The uprising fails, Beck is killed off (having seen enough shows, it probably would've been a very heroic death), and Tron is repurposed. Speaking of which, I always wondered if Beck had been just slightly too late at the end. Granted Tron was no Rizzler, but at the same time I felt like something was off about Tron.
Legacy movie was good but felt cliché at many points, losed it's grip in some points, and felt rushed even though it wasn't. While uprising on the other hand was actually rushed at the end but still didn't feel bad and had top CGI of that time and is still one of the best CGI technique till date, voice acting is amazing, direction is superb. The only reason it's underrated is because it was launched on a new and not so known channel of that time and the movie failed to amaze huge mass of people. In short uprising was actually better than legacy and need to be revived. #BringBackTronUprising #TronLives

And one more thing Dyson? Never EVER show weakness like that again!! If you do, there is always a children's toy or teen's calculator that needs a program. Are we clear Dyson? Dyson: (Takes a knee to his leader) crystal clear Lord CLU. And as Dyson hurriedly leaves CLU's resonance chamber, a daunting thought takes root. He means to take the human world? He is mad!! I betrayed Flynn and TRON because I thought the only perfection would be this world. But now CLU wants to be their god as well?? Hurriedly, Dyson picks up a small, compact communicator and says: "TRON I know I have betrayed you, but this has gone too far, CLU means to invade Flynn's world. He has Flynn's Identity Disc and intends to use it. If there is any strength left in you.......please save us!!!! Somewhere in the grid............
Is it just me, or did the designers of Uprising somehow make Clu look more evil here than in the movie? Not only that, they translated his live-action appearance into animation very smoothly, the way he looks emits an aura even more twisted than his original counterpart. The final scene is the most impactful of this. All he does is turn his head, smile, and say "good," but those simple actions SCREAMED "twisted and evil" to me. Also not to mention, he and Flynn look exactly alike, yet they still give off entirely different vibes. They even have the same sort of grin, but Flynn's is more friendly, warm, and approachable, while Clu's is ominous, chilling, and deceitful. I wonder what causes this sort of phenomenon that causes us to feel this way?

I love how they portrayed young flynn as almost like CLU, since CLU was just his clone. Of course flynn was a bit more open minded but he has the kind over ambitious mindset back then its clear

It's damn good.
Disney only needs to bring original Directors and CGI team back. There are really good professional voice artist (actors) that can do voices and handle the rest.

I find it pretty striking, the contrast between the surreal, exaggerated faces of the programs, and the human appearance of CLU. It really indicates status.

1:10 was the first time we saw Flynn with actual armor on since the original 1982 film. I like the simplicity of it and how it contrasts to Clu’s more….can’t really think of the word but I’m thinking over the top or uneven or erratic

4:07 when I was a kid and I saw this I shit myself and then got sad after I found out that Tron Uprising got cancelled😣 I was so mad but I still love Tron Uprising. 2019 anyone?
1. This is a bloody good Bridges impression considering it isn't him.
2. I adore this art style. Yes, the gangliness takes a bit of getting used to, but I like that's it's not the "Knockoff Anime" style everything goes for now. It's like bits of animation from the States, Europe and Japan all rolled into one, and there's almost definitely other styles in there that I'm not clued (PUN!) up on enough to see.
This is the best character designs for tron. Clu, and Rinzler’s helmet heads were big. But this, this is better

You know, as awesome as of a show as this was, it's also kinda sad since we know how it ends. The uprising fails, Beck is killed off (having seen enough shows, it probably would've been a very heroic death), and Tron is repurposed.
Speaking of which, I always wondered if Beck had been just slightly too late at the end. Granted Tron was no Rizzler, but at the same time I felt like something was off about Tron.
Is uprsing a prequel series to legacy? Or is it its own seperate universe?

I like how they give a little context to CLU's suit here as sort of a security outfit, instead of just coming out of the blue in legacy
Legacy movie was good but felt cliché at many points, losed it's grip in some points, and felt rushed even though it wasn't.
While uprising on the other hand was actually rushed at the end but still didn't feel bad and had top CGI of that time and is still one of the best CGI technique till date, voice acting is amazing, direction is superb. The only reason it's underrated is because it was launched on a new and not so known channel of that time and the movie failed to amaze huge mass of people.
In short uprising was actually better than legacy and need to be revived.

He is indeed Tron and Clu both are Disc Resistant, not disc immune.
They explained a bit in the extras of movie Legacy.
Yes disc can hurt both of them but not kill them.

I betrayed Flynn and TRON because I thought the only perfection would be this world. But now CLU wants to be their god as well?? Hurriedly, Dyson picks up a small, compact communicator and says: "TRON I know I have betrayed you, but this has gone too far, CLU means to invade Flynn's world. He has Flynn's Identity Disc and intends to use it. If there is any strength left in you.......please save us!!!!

Is it just me, or did the designers of Uprising somehow make Clu look more evil here than in the movie? Not only that, they translated his live-action appearance into animation very smoothly, the way he looks emits an aura even more twisted than his original counterpart. The final scene is the most impactful of this. All he does is turn his head, smile, and say "good," but those simple actions SCREAMED "twisted and evil" to me. Also not to mention, he and Flynn look exactly alike, yet they still give off entirely different vibes. They even have the same sort of grin, but Flynn's is more friendly, warm, and approachable, while Clu's is ominous, chilling, and deceitful. I wonder what causes this sort of phenomenon that causes us to feel this way?
