  • I have the Apex action enhancement trigger in my fn509 and while it's noticeably better than the factory trigger, it leaves some to be desired. that's where the spring kit from Mcarbo comes in.... it takes this trigger (and any 509 trigger) to a new level. I love the difference it made to this gun, it now feels like it has a "nice" trigger.

I installed a Tyrant trigger shoe with MCarbo trigger springs in my Hellcat pro. The combination has been reliable, and feels real good. Thanks for sharing your setup.

Nice set up. Love the FN’s. Range toy or EDC? Not sure I’d carry a gun with that light of a trigger pull. I prefer something closer to 4.5-6 lbs with my EDC guns.

You for now.... I don't have a holster for it. I still need to get some testing on it before I'd consider it for carry with the upgrades 👍

About 3 years ago I installed Apex Enhancement Triggers and the MCarbo springs in three of my FN509s. Somehow I accidentally converted them to Full Auto. I had to breakdown all three and reinstall the OEM Sear Spring. I never figured out where I screwed up. I broke those guns down several times but still clueless. FYI, the $50 Disassembly Fixture for the FN 509/FNS-C came in handy.

@@ballisticallychallenged I fired off 4 rounds in under a second before realizing what was happening. At least one round went into the ceiling at the gun range. I was totally unprepared for what happened.

How does the FN compare to the PDP? which would you carry?

That's personal preference I would say.... They are both reliable and good shooters. Personally I'd choose the pdp, but that may be different for the next guy.
