My son's a lawyer here in Louisiana. This has been going on for YEARS. Staged drivers. Staged witnesses. I've seen countless videos.

@@chewygaming1I would assume so. My son was involved in an accident with an unsavory individual. It turns out his brother was his lawyer so the lawyer knew what doctors to go to to make his case. Our lawyer explained to us that if they had gone to any other doctor than the one they went to they would not have gotten the result they wanted. There's a lot of scamming doctors out there who wait for the payout from the lawsuit

Now that insurance companies in Louisiana know that they've been paying out on fraudulent claims, are they going to drop innocent drivers' rates back to where they should be? HELL no.

Meanwhile my good friend was kicked out of the hospital just hours after a horrific wreck that nearly made him lose both arms and mangled his hand irreparably. After a long lawsuit he did not even get enough to cover replacing his vehicle let alone the lost work and medical. Plus he is forever disabled and lost the use of his hand. I dont understand how scammers make so much money while the actual victims get pennies.

seems like you're conflating several issues. is that intentional? a hospital discharging a patient is one issue. a "lawsuit" is typically for medical and the cost to replace a vehicle is separate from what the value of a vehicle is. the permanency of his injury is separate but would have been valued in the lawsuit you referenced (which would be subject to attorney's fees). scammers are sophisticated. They know how to work the system but that has little to do with your friend bc every situation is different.
So the insurance rates will be going back down there, right?

Witnesses give an affidavit on video, with a panel that evaluates, investigates, and concretely dictates everything that the witness(s) would be testifying, making such an action irrelevant. Prosecution still continues as planned. Intimidating witness(s) as wel.
