    My appetite decreases with long term calorie deficit. Less food is needed to feel satisfied. But its actually becomes that im transitioning to healthy portion sizes
    And when ima burning fat and working out more and my metabolism is increasing, i feel warmer not colder.

    I really prefer an aggressive deficit for short bursts, than maintain. I have ADHD, so I need quick, intense focus than let off. I had alot to lose so it wasn't bad. But as I got smaller I did taper off and focus on eating at the maintenance calories of my ideal weight.

      I'm glad that you've found a system that works for you. There's no one-size-fits-all approach that's good for everyone. And I recall seeing some research that showed that people who lost weight more quickly were able to maintain their motivation. Sometimes you need that win to keep you going! You're right to recognize that things need to change as you get closer to your target weight too. It's becomes harder to do a larger deficit when you don't have as much weight to lose. Are you at your target weight now?

    It really helps me to know how many calories alcoholic drinks have and what they look like in a glass, especially wine, so I limit mine to 4 oz. Yeah, I've learned to easily spot what a 4 oz wine look like in a glass -- saves me a lot of empty calories!

    3 months still seem to short for me to rate progress. Some people might lose a ton of weight in the first 1 to 2 months and some people might lose it really gradually. But regardless I think at least 6 months is what it takes to hit a significant weight loss goal in a healthy way. Maybe even a year. But more than this I wanna keep the weight OFF... it creeped back on for me in less than a year 😂

    • @IvanaChapman
      @IvanaChapman  2 года назад +1

      That's not unusual. If you don't continue with the behaviours that got you the result then you won't continue to see the result. And maintaining the behaviours is the hard part. Three months is definitely enough to see if you're progressing. It just doesn't guarantee that you'll be able to continue the behaviours required to maintain that progress. Maintenance is the REAL challenge. Think I have a video about that too! 😊

I mean if I'm dividing the deficit into two and I'm planning to lose 343 calories by activity and consume 300 less calories then I need to eat 1419+300 calories and the burn the rest 343 calories?

      Heyy! Acc to my experience,
      1. eliminating processed foods and switching to homemade foods does help with the hunger
      2. Aim to eat all three of the macros whenever a meal is eaten :
      Carbs and Protein along with essential fats in the meal helps u not have hunger pangs frequently. DO NOT SKIP any or the macros
      3. Do some funn hobbies or activities other than work to keep ur btain engaged. Otherwise, if u just sit doing nothing ur brain simply encourages u to eat food when not required.
      Hope these helps :)
      NOTE- these are from my personal experiences and are not professional advices.

      No, there is no such thing as withdrawal from food. Having a little less food than before does not result in vomiting. Speak to a doctor if this continues. Are you taking any new supplements or eating new foods?
