Thank you for the review. I am always cautious with IPs, as they have historically been cash-grabs without substance, but at the same time I had hope for this one. While the high price tag on the base game didn't surprise me much, after seeing the cost for the expansions, I was really put off. And now, having watched your review, this is a hard pass for me. One that comes to mind that I bought into from the hype and the looks was the first campaign of Sword & Sorcery, and I had a similar experience with the rules as you had here; it became so frustrating that I just had to shelve it after a couple of sessions, and I don't know if I'll go back to it. I'll stick with the HEXplore It games (great, as you mentioned) and others I already have.
Thanks for watching! Yeah I'm relatively new to the hobby and this experience has taught me to look for warning signs like that. I'm glad I didn't back the Skyrim campaign. Glad you enjoy HEXplore it! It rules!
thanks for the review. they were a lot of cons.. on the topic of bgg scores, maybe most of the positive rating are after playing the first or second chapters. i'm intimidated by games that big, so they are off my shopping list. i am unlucky with dice so my gameplay always including skills that avoid using dice.
I wanted to really like this game (havnt purchased) but I really enjoy rogue like (you can die), Azure what game should I look at if Id like some grand campaign type of game like skyrim? (ty for the review for this going to save my money for something better).
Hi! Thanks for watching! For campaign RPG where you can die, I recommend Hexplore it: www.hexploreit.com/ Or Dungeon degenerates: goblinkomegamall.com/collections/dungeon-degenerates If you like roguelike without the campaign part, more one-off sessions, my favorite is Iron Helm: www.thegamecrafter.com/games/iron-helm Hope that helps! - Robert
Well end of next year there will be Elder Scrolls, Betrayal of the second era. They still have a late pledge thing going on Gamefound I think. But it's more like a mini-campaign setting: 3 sessions is one full campaign.
Hi. For me, this game is one big disappointment. Superficial, way too easy, the Rulebook is crap, characters can't die and basically you can't lose a Kampagne either. For me Zerywia is a much better adventure game. Greetings from Germany
I've been on the fence for this one for a while. Thank you for the review.

Thank you for watching! I like smaller scale games too, but I also love big games like these as well!

It’s hard to believe how much they messed this game up.
Happy to know I'm not the only one who feels that way!
Almost as bad as Danny's stress-related alopecia.🏳⚧

Thank you! Yes I've heard about that game, it looks very interesting! Thanks for reminding me about it!
