Incredible and honest review. The camera angle is genius as It felt like I was sitting right next to you. Also it's rare to see someone who admits their struggles that comes from a messy ruleset, but it's something that really defines whether or not we can be bothered to learn a game, so props for that :) The price point for this game seems riciculous though.
I just purchased 2 BG for the family for Christmas here in the USA. I got the games GREAT AMERICAN MAIL RACE and PAN AM Airlines BG. Looking forward to opening them and giving them a whirl or two. Thanks for your reviews.
I just got back into Skyrim on PC a few weeks back. Decided to mod it to the max for 2022 and it's taken it's place back as my favourite RPG again. The board game looks a bit messy for me.
It is a bit messy Gary. But interesting as a coop. Although I find myself slipping back to the PS, removing Elden Ring from the disk drive and plonking this in from time to time while playing this =)
The rules are quiet easy but the rulebook is a mess. They mention stuff several times before actually going through it in detail. Which makes it hard to actually find the right page to read about certain stuff. One exampel is switching gear at the start of a combat round. This is mentioned under combat the combat section, at the start. But not in detail. The details are at the end of the combat rules... WHY?
Looks like a typical Modiphius rule book. Very wordy, paragraph after paragraph of text with minimal example pictures. They write very boring rule books that don’t encourage you to play, had the same issue with call to arms. Everything other than the board looks really bland aswell unfortunately.
I think for Arkham Horror (2ed) fans it's better to take Arkham Horror from the shelf and dive into it once again, rather then learn rules of new game like Skyrim, even you're fan of video game.
So glad I canceled my online purchase a few days ago for this ... Thank you for your thoughts ..
My pleasure

If you are a fan, price is no object. Again, the licence was probably a large chunk of the cost

Good to see you posting again.
Hey, thanks Steve. Doing what I can, when I can =)
My wife wrapped all items in the box before I could open. Waiting till Christmas. Thanks for the review....
Hope you enjoy it!

Exactly...Why? I have now invested more than 15 hours in the game and it is running smoothly. That's a large investment though

This is my first Modiphius game, so I have no reference. Although I did play Kung Foo Panda...

Sad, but kinda true =)
The tutorial only teaches you how to play the tutorial. Really bad.
That's all you need to know. The rest of the game is "rinse and repeat" of the tutorial.
Trully Not a good Game sry
