Hey everyone - sorry that this makes two "clip shows" in a span of like three weeks, but I'm still getting a handle on my daily routine as it pertains to taking care of 8-month old twins. I've pretty much transitioned into a stay-at-home-Dad / part time RUclipsr at this point because day care is really expensive and during a pandemic seems like a not great idea. But I'm doing the best I can. Have a million show ideas in the can, just need to transition to like a 36-hour day so I have time to actually produce them lol. Thanks for watching and thank you so much for all of your support.
Hey, binge compilations are easy to organize, get as much views as the individuals and keep you afloat with the fanbase. Gives you enough time to get your stuff in order for the next big video.
I've been enjoying compilations like this lately. Perfect for putting on in the background when working on projects, and I'm always finding things I haven't seen before.
Stay safe and you're doing great dad! While my kids are grown (one in college, another in middle school) I completely understand your decisions. I love these compilations as it makes the work day much more bearable. Take care and thanks for everything!
Finally finished this video today. I laugh every time I see that bit about Dr Mario being a bad Christmas gift. I have a photo of me holding that for my Christmas gift in 1991 and my brother has Romance of the Three Kingdoms 2. My dad is like 70 now and he still plays Dr. Mario and is by far his most played game. I would assume Romance of the Three Kingdoms 2 is my most played game of all time. I haven't played it in a few years now, but I used to play at least a game of it every year. Anyway, I did not get much play time out of Dr. Mario, but my dad certainly has.
Stellar episode of Shadowgate! I have fond memories of it as well, like painfully relating with you about that first damn key, lol. On a side note, the wife and I just recently started playing D&D. The inspiration from it to this game is clear as day. I'm willing to bet whoever wrote Shadowgate grew up playing D&D with a sadistic DM who loved planning death mazes, lol.
I got it as a Christmas gift the year it came out (thanks for the nightmares mom and dad...) and I actually enjoyed it immensely. Yeah, it was definitely difficult, but if you actually read the manual provided and could figure out how you move around on the map, the game isn't that bad. I think it gets immediately written off as crap because LJN.
@@DeathMetalDerf I understood the game. It just has terrible controls and enermy spawning/logic, sorry it just wasn't very good. If you don't like my opinions, you can just throw rocks in unnecessary arches over my head.
I think that these clips shows are great for those of us who haven't seen all of them before (or haven't in a while). The format is well organized so we can watch whatever clips we want, but I appreciate them being in one video. Really enjoyed this one. Cheers, Aaron!
I watch AGVN to have a good laugh and bring back memories of being so disappointed that my weekend was wasted because mum let me rent an NES game from "video ezy" near my house on Friday night that sucked...but I was you for legitimate, informative reviews.
This game freaked me out more than any other game for NES, especially when the game would freeze and the music got stuck on one note. OMG it was freaky when that happened.
I love this channel! 😀👍 It's one of my favorite RUclips channels and I never get tired of watching it. I grew up with pong, then Atari then NES and it's so great to see so many videos about classic games and systems like that!
‘I’ll never look at Gumby the same way again’ 😂 I used to work at a place called Gumby’s Pizza. They had an arcade cabinet of Marvel Vs Capcom 2, to play for only a quarter. Spent way more time playing that cabinet than actually working.
_"The legend of CAGE!"_ >:[ _"Actually, it's pronounced 'Legend of KAGE'"_ Oh, thank goodness; I was about to _"Actually..."_ your arse to the ground. :p Also, "E.D.O." made me literally laugh out loud! It is odd that the editor typed that specific word in all-caps.
That game rocks. Other titles that are awesome: Zen the Intergalactic Ninja, Bucky O'Hare, Little Samson, Felix the Cat, The Flintstones: Surprise at Dinosaur Peak, RC Pro Am II, and The Krion Conquest.
Happy Halloween to you too! I just picked up Silent Hill 2 (PS2) for my wife and I, we're waiting until Oct 1 to crack it open. Admittedly, nothing hits that warm spot like these scary NES classics.
Dude, your Punch Out video should have a million views. It’s probably the best video about the game on the internet. Even more helpful than “u can beat videos games”’s video on it. I got way further on it after watching yours (I kept getting my ass kicked by Soda Popinski)
This is a compilation of several older episodes... the first of which aired around Halloween several years ago. So yes, Happy Halloween and you'd best be happy about it!
My catholic school actually sent out a questionaire when I was in grade school and one of the questions was does your child own a Nintendo. I remember my mom asking me if I had one and said yeah. The next week at school Santa came in and the everyone that said they had one got bible adventures. Those who didn't have a Nintendo got a 50 dollar gift certificate to child world. Turns out some alumni left his estate to the school and they decided to give the students (200 of us) all secret Santa gifts as well as a ski trip for the cub scout troop
Distracted driving is just something I'm very passionate about. It's a big problem and just as dangerous as drunk driving. Thankfully, no, I have not been personally affected by it though.
I have a technical question for anyone who can answer it. I play NES (and SNES, master system, mega drive/genisis etc. etc.) Games online on my Windows 10 computer. Doesn't anyone know of I can somehow get my xbox controller to work witg them? It works with my steam games, but I can't get it to work with online emulation played thru Chrome
I don't think you'll be able to get it to work through a browser web site that has the emulator built in. Also be careful with those as they tend to have viruses and malware baked in as well. Try RetroArch - takes a lot of fiddling to get going, but there are some great guides on RUclips on how to do it. Once you get that up and running, you can map any USB controller to it, XBox, PlayStation or even just use an original controller with a USB adapter. 8bitdo makes some really cool modern retro controllers that connect via USB or Bluetooth as well. Good luck!
@@FridayNightArcade thanks man. Yeah, I ended getting a usb controller (shaped like a SNES one). I bought a raspberry Pi and my brother 3D printed a C-64 shaped box for it and downloaded a bunch of 80s and 90s console and arcade games. The controller works with them.
I just asked my 16 year old who Mike Tyson was and he said isn't he the chicken guy .....I promised him we will never buy Tyson chicken nuggets till he knows ....ten minutes later he texts me from the next room saying he was a boxer who was in the hangover movie.....omg....I'm more mad he texted me instead of him not knowing.....time for a guys weekend with some serious testosterone sports chatter
I think us 80's babies forget how boys were back in 80's-90's, we loved the blood and gore. We were the type to get excited by frying ants with a magnifier glass. Nothing unusual for gory games to come for us back then, compared to the sensitive civilization we live in today.
Do you advocate for your sponsors? Because i keep getting hammered by anti-science, ultra-conservative, 5+ minute ads on your stuff that HONESTLY feel like brainwashing attempts. WTF?
RUclips creators have zero control over the ads that run on their videos. Also your comment was held for review by RUclips and it still had a Like on it. So that means you Liked your own comment because no one else could have seen it until just now.

I actually really enjoy this format, where we get a truck-load of great content in one, big shot. Good stuff!
Some might even call it a compilation
Faxanadu is one of my favorite nes games and remains so till this day

Metal storm was my jams back in the day. Great game.
Every year I still play Faxandu. Grew up with it and it remains on my top 10 list of fave NES games.
I’ll take a clip show. Even Seinfeld did a clip show. Soooo much nostalgia here! Thanks FNA
Yeeaaaahhh... I'm gonna need me more of these volumes... teleports me to my childhood instantly.
And I like teleportations to chikdhood. :-), being an adult isn't all that great.
This is gonna make my shift go WAY faster tonight! Awesome , thanks!
Friday the 13th was one of the first games I rented. I actually like it.
I like the remade homebrew. The original was just a nightmare for me to play, lol.

Edo....is a time period in Japan....it took place from 1600-1868 it's also referred to as the Tokugawa period.
Kid Eyecarus
Always loved that final theme in the throne room in Shadowgate, very Sword of Hope.
Is this a compilation? I know it was uploaded an hour ago but I feel ive watched this already.
Yes.
What do you use to play the games at 1080 and so clear? They look really nice!
Never played Metal Storm....looks like I missed out

Awesome video. Brings back memories. I am going to have to share this on my Facebook and Twitter.
Godzilla was a good guy on the NBC animated season, and it featured GODZOOKIE!! Fresh!

Legend of Kage plays exactly Like Demon Sword. Have you played it. An under appatriciated classic for NES.
I think demon sword is actually cooler because you can upgrade your sword and stuff.
@@xXCigarXx I agree.
I got the re release of Metal Storm for my Birthday last year, so I got a chance to play that game and it is pretty awesome.
So crazy to think that these 8 bit games scared the shit out of me as a kid 😂. The ending to monster party really disturbed me.
I looked through some of ur vids and they're good enough for a sub. Thx for great content!
Castlegate got an HD remaster a few years ago.. its worth the 20 bucks or so on steam. it also has the option to have retro NES soundtrack and sfx.
You got a good show man, keep up the good content, I love kid school nes games, grew up with shadowgate, always wanted to play uninvited
Great video as always.
Love it! Just subbed, and keep up the great gaming. Cheers!
That music in shadowgate. Omg!
did i hear lifeforce from the nes?
I love your videos, please keep doing them as much as you can, thank you for your entertainment
Thanks, Daniel ... working on the next episode now! They just take longer to make :/
Highly recommend DejaVu 2! It’s better than the original imo. It’s tough to find, though, unless you mind scouring abandonware sites.
The plant saying hello baby is suppsed to mimic the plant doing it in little shop of horrors movie....
Monster party mark looks like Mike from star tropics and gene from Bob's burgers lol
im cool with a clip show...i love throwing these on while i game myself

No Godzilla 2 for NES? It was an early RTS
Maniac Mansion used to scare me lol
Gotta check out these Godzilla games
Nes Godzilla is fun. Nes Godzilla 2 sucks.

I am forever thankful for the reminder for not texting and driving
Did you just say happy Halloween🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂 don't you think it's too late but happy Halloween Lol
Haven't heard from you in a while. You still with us? How's life. How's the doublemint twins? What games next?
I'm still here! Working on the next video ... Kids are doing well, just been a handful, but all healthy and happy (generally lol). Miss you all.

Why not rename it “Friday Fortnight Arcade”. (Fortnight = two weeks (ie fourteen nights))
