Brought me a few minutes of afternoon peace along with pulling up some sweet memories and building quiet anticipation for the coming season. Good choice on the music also. A few minutes of contentment in a world of ugly. Thanks for putting this together like you did. Nice job
What a footage my amigo! Instant share with my fishing buddies at the hospital we work at. Respect for those fish that give us so much joy. Only our fellow anglers know what we are talking about. Nature and mankind can coexist your video raises awareness and understanding thank you!
That was truly amazing filming, so cool how the fish really did not care about the camera which had to look out of place to them. Would love to see more video's like this, thanks for putting this out!
Unbelievable footage of my most favorite fish since I was in elementary school. Simply a beautiful fish with or without spawning colors. The close-ups were astonishing and even with moving around him totally unaffected. Music definitely complimented this video too. Thank you.
It's always so funny to see fish hanging out with other species like that brook trout was with the salmon. Last year at a pond I saw like 20 little bass all chilling in a spot with one bluegill.
Absolutely loved this! Great video before bed. I can't wait to land one of these beauties! I've never tasted a brook trout either. Only Lakers and Rainbow. I can't wait to try the other species, but everywhere I look Cutties are catch and release only which I'm fine with. Who knows in 20 years they might not be, I'll still be out there fishin.
The very best fishing day I remember was on a small brookie stream in Colorado one fall. Brookies mixed with browns and rainbows below the beaver dam, exclusively brookies above. An old friend and I fished up a mile or so, switching off on pockets. We caught and released well over 100 in gorgeous spawning colors. Most very small, some small but clearly old with heads proportionally large on the fish from a scarcity of food. It was a great day.
You can’t get footage like this of an Appalachian Brook Trout. Their lateral line is so sensitive, they can feel you walking on a bolder 10’ away. Stealth is key to catching them.
Heya Jeff I live in southern Maine and have been catching some nice brookies the past few days. Picky fellas for sure, and not only sensitive to sound and such, but also a pain in the ass to keep hooked for the whole fight for me. I’ll get 20 hard strikes in a day but only set the hook well enough maybe twice. Any tips on how to snag them better?

Incredible fish. Some of my favorite to catch simply because of their beauty.
My favorite fish in the world. Pure beauty.

Fantastic footage, I wish we had easy access to wild Brookies here in the UK......
Amazing how little effort they expend even in a ripping current. Some incredible photos of one of my favorite gamefish.

Wow! What an incredible video. What a gorgeous fish. I noticed one thing they didn't look like they at much.
Thanks for this.
Nicely done educational video on a popular game-fish.
So beautiful! Thanks!

Thing I love about brookies--they’re always looking to eat something.
