There is an option for all the TOMs with that H&R Link ON/OFF, but I think the Rimshot is only working with the Snare, or am I missing something? How can I use the TOM's rimshots too? Is there any way, or they can not be used?

Unfortunately the TD-07 model does not have that function for the toms .

Hello,
Yes you change the sound with any third party plugins, but you can’t save the drum kit sounds to your sound module. Your drum kit will work as a midi controller.

And it’s quieter
