Exactly. That's how I always felt when I was a collector. Thank you for sharing your comic journey being part of the conversation. Welcome to the community!
I love those dollar bins. I live in Mexico, but I visited Canada in 2003 and got the complete New Mutants run on those boxes, along with annuals and specials. I am just missing the original graphic novel.
I love the dollar and fifty cent bins. They give me an excuse to come into the store and spend a few bucks. This is a great store with a very chill vibe. If you are ever in the Port Jervis area, I recommend that you stop by.
Love a cheap comic bin - got both of my nephews into comics that way. One of my local LCS's has a $2, $1, $0.50, and even a smaller .10 bin. Makes for easy gifts to grab like 10 super man or x-men comics for them. Actually found Dazzler 2-18 in the .10 bin in decent enough shape.
Thanks for sharing your comic experiences I've always loved the bargain bins, hence why I have them in my store. Great pickup of the dazzlers. Welcome to our community.
Well sir, thank you for your service. Let me know before you make the 3-hour trip and I'll make sure I'm there. Love to shake your hand. Thanks for joining the conversation and welcome to our community
When I was collecting in the 80s, my brother and I were getting all the Star Wars comics, (then eventually other comics) so we'd check the cheaper bins, but the comic store used a black wax pencil to mark all the cheaper comics. So we stayed away from the bins and bought from the regular price bagged bins. Didn't want our comics defaced. Great video and wish you well on your upcoming retirement!
Absolutely love buying back issues at your store lol can’t wait till the next time I can get over there you are more than fair with how you price your books great video Emmet!
Yeah, I'm really late with all the sdcc news but I want to do it right so I got to do some research. This way I can also add some updates. Welcome to the community
That's a great idea for a video. I don't usually sell on eBay but I do have an eBay account. I know how to set it up. I'll put that in the show bucket. Thank you so much for the suggestion. Welcome to the community
Since childhood I've always been in the cheap bins buying books. Even as an adult who doesn't have a local LCS I buy run filler type books from auctions for $1 or 2 each. I'd much rather buy 100 books for $100 to read rather than 1 book for $100 who's value is based solely on fomo for everything that isn't rare which is the vast majority of comics ever created. Nowadays the goal seems to be to chase whatever the general public deems hot this week like the recent Dave Stevens craze or the ever growing number of J Scott Campbell collectors. People just want to collect what others tell them is cool rather than what they themselves enjoy and that's just dumb in my opinion and why the comicbook market is an artificial one.
A lot of great points and I agree a lot of times it's artificial to market. Thank you for joining the conversation. Sharing your journey. Welcome to the community.
Dollar bin digging is one of the most exciting things to do when visiting a new shop. It's like a treasure hunt.

You should do a video on how to setup and start selling on eBay and other sites you use.

You don’t know how to set up a eBay account? It’s straightforward you just go to eBay and you create an account done.
@@Mike_oliver1313 There's a lot more when your selling on eBay as a business, from listings to listing in your own eBay store.
Comic Shops fall i love with their Inventory..... Are you a Business or a Mueseum ?????
That absolutely happens to some people. Thanks for joining the conversation. Welcome to the community
I try to stop in with the kids once a month for your bins
Thanks for the support
Would you consider just bagging $1 bin books with the 5 cent cost increase. Help keep them out of the 50 cent bin?
It's really not worth it for what I buy them for. Thanks for joining the conversation and welcome to the community.
