Dude, your conscience is clear. The sellers could easily set a 5 book duplicate limit per customer. Kudos to them for bringing those books light to keep the comic community excited!! Good job man. Collect on!
i appreciate your outlook on the community, cause i have experienced the bad side of comic collecting/scalping! i unfortunately dont have alot of money to pay up for good books, so i hate it when i see people buying them, and then reselling for way over what the book is worth! i collect for me, not to resell, and some resellers ruin the hobby!
I understand it’s a taboo subject for many people but this is how we can afford some comics we normally couldn’t: Get a good deal on a comic and trade/sell it for closer to retail (at a profit) to work toward owning bigger books. Most of us do it to improve our collections. We all do this to some extent. Some people lie, deceive, or take advantage of others to get ahead. Others grind to find great deals to pass along to someone else who is happy to pay a little more than we did. I’ve been on all sides, bought and sold at a loss and profit. Some of us have the means to pay for comics and never sell while some of us have to buy and sell to stretch our money to afford the keys we otherwise couldn’t. Love it or hate it, that’s the way the hobby is evolving.
Funding the hobby to fund the hobby. We all do it. What would be the point of selling at a loss all the time? If you’re going to sit there and legitimately think you would pass on any of these books, you’re lying through your phone screen.

Mike you are a great person - never feel bad or question yourself. The community loves what you do and are blessed to have you in it. Hands down your channel is my favourite to watch and I look forward to hearing about the hobby.
Man I tell you to find that many copies of all those key issues is totally insane. A great place to fill all those holes in your collection and the prices are definitely reasonable.
Seeing all the 90’s comics in bulk doesn’t surprise me at all! I really love your channel for your genuine love and passion for the hobby. I have collected off and on for several years. One of the reasons I quit collecting for almost a decade was because every book during the 90’s was expected to have tremendous value in the long run. Then the speculator market crashed. The potential value of the books I bought were my motivation then and I lost interest in the hobby. I sold most of my collection and kept only 8 books that I loved. Then the Daredevil movie came out and reignited my passion for collecting again. I’ve been a consistent collector since 2003 and have no plans of stopping. Several RUclips channels were really helpful to learn how the hobby had changed, your channel has always been fun to watch. I’ve gotten tired of the speculation on movies and TV and collectors focus only on key issues at a 9.8. That was never the focus of my collecting, I actually reading the stories and following the journey of the characters as different creative groups attempted to put their twist on a classic character. Books that I collected more than a couple of decades ago are now the hot books that collectors are dying together their hands on. I guess to some clearly I’m naive by actually buying books that I love. I love the characters and that’s what keeps people collecting and reading. I’ve also had a lot of fun collecting facsimiles of books that I could never afford, I don’t mind being in the minority of collectors. When you drop $75-$100 every 2 weeks on books you give more thought to how you spend your money. At 50 years old, I think I’m a bigger geek for comics than when I was younger. 😂😂 Never quit being a positive person about your passion for collecting comics. If I lived where you lived I would have gone into debt buying what books I could myself. 😂😂😂
Hey Mike, thanks for the video. My favorite part was seeing you build happy memories with your son. Regarding the other bits, you and I can’t control how Mr. Dolgoff wants to sell his comics (i.e., put on a fabulous warehouse sale) or how buyers (resellers or not) are going to respond. Honestly, if selling comics were my way of feeding my family and that kind of opportunity came along, I would max out my purchase power as well. It’s really up to Mr. Dolgoff. He could easily limit purchases to maintain a certain flavor to his events. Thanks for sharing the content!
That looked like a great show, Mike! I can only imagine the ooh's and aah's emanating from the show floor every time a key was pulled out. I understand your concern, but you did the right thing in posting it. After all, this is about the love of the hobby. We can't control what others do, so there's no point in worrying about it. Enjoy the hobby and the connections made. Thanks for sharing!
Your attitude about it helps it remain a celebration of a great tradition and community and as long as other people agree to protect it, we can all share in that celebration.
That was a great turn out Gary had for this show. He has so many books I doubt it made a dent in his warehouse. But what he parted with flew off the shelf at those prices. Thanks for asking me to tag along. I hope he does this again in the future! Fantastic day is an understatement!
That was incredible. Finding things you love in the wild is what it's all about. What I've found, with sleeves rolled-up and a few hours to kill, you wouldn't believe!!
i really love your passion but especially your inner spirit. its a breath of fresh air as i met many of comic collectors that are rude, insincere, fake and unscrupulous or are just plain crooked. i can't even watch some of theses big comic collectors videos that are mainly just in it for the $$$. don't get me wrong, i've come across alot of collectors that are in it just for the love of comics as well. you strike me as the latter. you actually remind me of myself in alot of ways. anyway, thanks for the videos
Such a fun video! Was exciting to see what you got and found. I would have been frantic in that place. I would have also had so much anxiety like I was going to miss something.
I loved the video Mike. You did a nice job explaining why you hesitated making the video. The fun atmosphere you described, it would be great to see that preserved. Thank you for sharing your experience. It was fun seeing that type of comic experience in the wild. Those were fantastic finds.
Love it! Wish I still lived in New England where the scene is thriving. Here is the SF Bay Area the hunt is much harder with far fewer honey holes. Gary Dolgoff comics is a terrific company and I have enjoyed buying many many books from them over the years. Cheers and keep listening to your angel!😇
that is an absolutely bonkers haul!! a huge congrats to you Mike. If you run out of storage space and feel like you just can't store all those X-factor 5's, I can help you out and hold on to one of them for you. I'm working on finishing my run of the original series. but seriously.. that show was nuts!! I'm bummed I don't live close enough to check that show out
The last time I went to a show like that was probably about 8 years ago. Books were not $3 each. It was more like fill a short box for $30, long box for $50. The market for comics these days is kind of crazy... can't wait for things to crash back down a bit. Million print run comics are way too expensive and people find 'keys' in every little moment. Kind of out of control. Cool video though! Digging through boxes will always be fun.
Stop beating yourself up Mike. I think you showed remarkable restraint. I remember as a kid seeing Gary Dolgoff's ads in Both Marvel and DC comics. Thinking how amazing it would be to order comics in the post! I lived in the uk so it was not an option. No hyperbole, those prices were stunning, a little above cover price! Great to see father and son sharing a love of the same hobby. Keep the vids coming mate, in these dark times they are the highlight of my week. Hope you and your family keep well. Best wishes from the UK.
Great video! It was fun just watching those books come to light, I couldn't imagine actually being there and finding some of those. I was happy to see all of those books being shared among the people at the show. I think you did a good thing for sharing this with us, and I hope to some day make it to one of those shows. Keep up with the awesome videos!
Thank you for sharing! It's awesome to see you doing what you do best, being a dad. I can understand why you wouldn't have wanted to make the video. I am glad you did. Please continue to share where you find your books. I live in Az and have never heard of a show happening like that! Seeing all those books for only $3! That is insane! Please keep up the good work! You are appreciated, my friend.
I just stumbled across your videos and am now hooked! I am in MA and am very pumped to know you're in the area. Thanks for sharing this. Here's hoping events like this can keep their feel. Maybe Gary Dolgoff can try to keep things under control! Ill certainly try to attend whenever they do this again! We must be relatively the same age since everything you were excited to see or nostalgic about, were things I remember seeing and loving back in the day. Great finds!
Such a great honey hole. You won the internet today!! I only saw two I needed though the marvel comics presents and Wolverine 88 (had to sell mine to cover roof replacement). I’m glad you made the video. Reminded me of mile high. Great video!!!!
Your channel is such a breath of fresh air. I been watching different comic book channels hunting type videos for a while now. Its always upset me to see them grab everything they see for reselling purposes. People like those guys ruined the hobby and the thrill of the hunt for me. Its good to see that you grab your share and left some for others to find. keep up the good work!
Amazing video, great message makes great sense with explaining the process of this great video. I love trading comics, dungeons and dragons books and other stuff on the market. Wow! You did the right thing.. it’s about the community. Like I have said before love the channel. Absolutely, ecstatic your son got to fish for comics with you. My youngest son does the same with the excitement in his eyes when he pulls a comic he might enjoy.
good day mate, great video, some fantastic comics that you bought. Man you guys in the states are very lucky to have such an amazing places to go and buy books. love your videos and learning lots. have a great day
Incredible haul…but even more incredible insight into who you are as a comic collector and truly genuine person. That’s why #ComicKarma is always finding its way to you, good sir!
Sensational video Mike! So great that you could share that experience with your son. I totally get your apprehension about sharing that amazing source of comic book gold!
Wow, what a gold mine of back issues! Watching this video made my inner child excited! I could have filled a handful of runs by the looks of it. And I completely understand the hesitation on sharing, but ultimately I agree with the reason for doing it. Great video, as always, Mike!
You're a good dude Mike. You can't control what others do, and word will get out regardless. I'm glad you stand by your morals. I remember a few years ago some sellers speaking in code around me when discussing where they purchased a comic book collection.. it felt slimy. I'm just here for some comic books and to have fun!
Congrats on the Larfleeze book! I know you’ve been looking for that one for a while based on a video from a while back. A few months ago I went to a 50% $1 and 25 cent bin sale and it was the same way. People would tell the people at the boxes beside them what they were looking for and we’d point out when we found them - AND if someone beside you noticed a good book in the box you were going through they would point it out so you wouldn’t miss it. So I think more times than not in this hobby people will help each other and make sure everyone wins. Cheers!
I really wish somebody would set something like this up where I live. So many awesome books. I don't know that I could have limited myself where those Wolverine books are concerned. Great video, Mike! And don't feel guilty or bad. Comics are for everyone, not just flippers
😱 This is Insanity 😱 Bro That Deadpool n Wolves Kubert, I have always loved & wanted that book. Gratz Man on an Incredible Show w/ Amazing Finds. -Cheers 🍻
Honestly Mike your such a great guy its so refreshing to see a comic RUclipsr who just loves the hobby and isn't focused on making money or collecting only what's valuable.
You're a good man Mike .I started watching you when you helped out a local with his comics. Keep doing what you're doing. I enjoy your collection and thanks for sharing.👍
Thank you for sharing. I understand both sides of the argument but I'm glad you decided to share. I'm a collector, not a speculator. I hope to visit a place like this in the future to fill in runs which is my favorite thing to do. Great video.
I'm glad you share places where you find comicbooks my son and I went to friartucks because of your video....my son also buys regularly from at last comix again from one of your videos so thank you for spreading the word it helps and makes great content
Mike great stuff and you are an awesome ambassador for our hobby. Please keep the positive messages out there. So many youtubers are grade queens "oh it wasn't a 9.6 I put it back" I love coming to your channel first because of the pure love you have for the hobby.
My wife requested to watch this video with me because of all the random shouting I was doing while watching 🤣 Awesome video Mike, I always enjoy living vicariously through your POV cam in a sale like that!
Awesome video mike. Just catching up with it now… I’m glad you found a honey hole you can share with the community. Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing! 👍
Thanks for putting this out Mike! I fondly remember ordering from Gary Dolgoff many years ago from the Comics Buyers Guide and I'm happy to see him open up his warehouse to the public. I think if he puts a limit of 5 per book, that would prevent the greedy ones from clearing out an issue of a more expensive book. Collectors protecting their honey holes is not good for the hobby at the end of the day. There are eleventy billion comic books out there, more than enough to share! ;-)
I’m from Miami not too much collecting not too many places to look for comic books. You’re doing the right thing. God bless you. Maybe I’ll buy a plane ticket one day and go up there and explore again thank you for everything. You’re doing great job.
Oh my gosh, so many Spider-Man keys! I'm so jealous! Those are some amazing books you picked up, and it looks like such an awesome show to go to! I understand the dilemma of posting the video, but I'm very glad you did. Seems like it was a great experience for everyone there. And glad to hear everyone was sharing the comics and being fair!
What an awesome show that is! Was able to make the 2.5 hour trip down to the comic show yesterday in Greenfield! Filled in a lot of my Spider Man runs.( 124 comics total) I had a great time at my first show and made sure to introduce myself to Magic Geeks! Was there a little later, so bummed I didn't get a chance to meet you! Maybe the next one! You are definitely one of the good guys out there! Keep up the great work!
I had the same thoughts as you did and was shocked that you did buy multiple copies of comics, but that is the nature of the beast, right. Now I have to plan my trip from California to Massachusetts and hopefully have the same experience as you and your son did 😊. So thank you for sharing.
Tornado in Houston knocked out my power and internet for 5 days. This was the first video I’m watching since the powers back on. Made me a little emotional. Thanks for spreading the joy and preaching the gospel of selflessness.
That looks like a great show. Comics are supposed to be fun abd it looks like everyone had a great time. The comic community is great and talking and sharing where to get great books is part of it. Sharing your video was totally awesome and it’s nice to see such a great group of people in this hobby. Not in it for the profit… keep having fun
Thank you for video and it was fun. I know you probably caught it, Ghost Rider #1 you had two newsstand, 1 first printing (spiderman in corner) and two reprints (ghost rider in corner). Me like you use to try get all reprints of Dan's Ghost Rider run. Yet again thank you.
Firstly, I think it's awesome that you shared Gary's warehouse. He's an awesome guy who loves taking care of the community. Secondly, are people going to try and capitalize, of course. It's sad that vendors will buy their stock just to inflate the prices. I just won't support those vendors. You did the right thing. You were partly an inspiration to me for giving away books for free every Tuesday. They're nothing crazy, $20ish books but it's the fun of giving back and enjoying with others. So again, you did the right thing and you're only spreading positivity. Keep up the good work.
Totally awesomeness Brother! Brings back My late Teenage memories of comic books! Thanks always for sharing Your passion and adventures from Toronto Ontario Canada 😎👍❤️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️📚📚📚📚📚✨️✨️💯💯💯💯💯✨️✨️
bro, if i was there with you guys, i would have been grabbing one of each of those certain ones they had there, especially that jim lee's x-men #9 trying to rebuild my own x-men collections and that one always goes for too much on ebay. so, congrats on grabbing a lot of those that you did. #Congrats13K
Amazing haul! Oh, the runs that I could complete at $3 a book! Good stuff! I remember grabbing that 2099 when I was a kid too. The Ultimate Carnage Cross Over was the first Cross over I actively checked my LCS for. I would have grabbed a few of those Wolverine/Deadpools as well but generally don't like to hoard/take more than I need. No doubt it would be hard to resist at that show geez
Congratulations! You are a little bit lucky with the comic book collecting hobby. And they say that luck is a combination of being at the right time at the right place, with the right experienced and a pocket full of money. You had all those going for you. Im sure you'll be able to trade and make other people happy as well.
Looked like it was an amazing time. I'm kicking myself in the you know what for not going. Things came up and I wasn't able to make it. Watching the books being pulled almost made me sick to my stomach that I wasn't there but happy for the people that did make it and got some great deals. Hopefully next time I can make it and not have to fight a grandma or a kid for some books. Lmao. Thanks for sharing Mike. 👊🏼
hey man - finders keepers. It's all about the hunt. Gary did a similar sale here at the London super con about 12 years ago. It was the same - but with Bronze Age marvel. It was incredible.
I love watching your videos and watching you hunt. I wish you left more footage in. I watch Popcomics a lot and his videos are hours long. It's peaceful watching other people hunt.
Wow, I would have had a field day there! Absolutely stunning prices for great keys. I sell the minor keys to help pay for the bigger keys because I don’t make that much. Great finds and also great giveaways down the road.
I think you are in the right on this one Mike. Based on the video, it seems like Gary's intent was to open the comic coffers and let collectors have fun. You and your son clearly did! No harm, no foul. :)
Mike , I enjoy watching your shows. I hope to attend the next one Please post the next time this show comes up it will be worthwhile to drive up from Philadelphia. Thanks and happy hunting.
I’ve been in the building, it’s huge.. didn’t know about the show. I thought the building was condemned.. glad you made out and we do have good comic community.
Congrats on pick ups. I wish there was something like that near me I live in Plattsburgh n.y you probably drove through when u went to Montreal. All there is here is 1 store that sells only new books no back issues. I could just imagine what was in those boxes you didn't show. Amazing video thanks for sharing.

Wow! Just wow! That's a blessing!
That’s why #ComicKarma is always finding its way to you, good sir!
wow no words ----great haul
Oh wow! That's the haul of haul right there bro and for $3/book to boot! Congrats on some many awesome pick-ups! 🙂
Cheers!
Amazing!!! That would literally be a bucket list for me! You got some great books! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for sharing. i work on the computer and watch your videos. It makes me feel good seeing everyone so happy getting great books
Haha that’s awesome!
Got my Batman book in today, the one I had you sign. 🤣🍺 I am the proud owner of LMC's first signature on a comic. Thank you bub.
Haha amazing, thanks for stopping by my friends’ show, we had so much fun!
That looked like a really good experience Mike. Thank you for sharing it as there are many collectors that would love that show including myself
What an awesome event!!!! Thanks for sharing, Mike! Awesome pickups too!
I would have ended up with several long boxes worth of comics! I LOVE 90'S COMICS! It's what I grew up on! Sooo nostalgic!
Keep up the great work!
my favorite haul of all of your videos , I love buying keys in bulk . bravo !
Can't wait to go to this showing. Beautiful Michael
Wow! That was crazy It looked like you went back in time!
Great video Mike!
Great score, cool video. Thanks
Keep listening to that angel, Mike and being the best there is at what you do. Love that shirt.
I really hope I get to attend one of these! I would love to be able to get some of the harder to get issues affordably!!
Thank you for actually replying to my Instagram message! Your content rocks and I'm always stoked to watch a new episode!
Absolutely, giving back like that is how to grow our hobby in a positive way, good on you!
I can't even watch this. So jealous. Talk about an awesome day
Oh snap! This is right near me, just north of Springfield! Too bad I was on a west coast vacation at the time. 😢 I’d have cleaned up
Amazing haul!
This might be the best comic haul I’ve seen. And I’ve been watching people pick up collections on RUclips for years lol
hey man - finders keepers.
Sure Mrs. Mike was thrilled when you took over the dining room table to stage COMIC CON 2!!!
LOL, yeah THAT was a fun conversation
Man! What an awesome collection and video!! Really enjoyed the comicbook atmosphere! Thanks for sharing
I say this with a tear in my , you're Popeye " I am what I am and that's all that I am ", A GOOD PERSON. Good conquers evil everytime!!!
This is amazing. Great vid! Even better finds.
That sale was insane!! I’d be there for hours and grab one of everything hahaha
Happy for you Mike! What a sale!
Absolutely amazing books, would love to come across most of those as I’m missing a lot haha
That Ghost rider 1 with the Ghost Rider in the barcode box is a 2nd print. They're worth a little more than 1st print.
