Just an update for you all since I was pretty uncertain of this album during my first listen. Since filming I’ve really been getting into Untouchables even though it goes in a pretty different direction with its sound. I think I’m getting used to hearing this side to Korn’s music. My favorite tracks at the moment would have to be Blame, Hollow Life, Thoughtless, Embrace, I’m Hiding and No One’s There.
I was just literally thinking "I wonder when Molly will review Untouchables", then bam, you upload. With regards to this album, you're not alone. All Korn fans at the time held the same consternation when this album came out -- it's quite the departure from their 90s sound. They almost become a different band from here on out.
Here to Stay was so ridiculously popular when it came out. Charting in over 10 countries in their top Singles charts. For such a heavy Metal song, this was a crazy achievement for any band. And Korn continued to be so damn successful.
This album cost 2 million dollars to make and the quality shows in the perfection of the sound. When Here to Stay premiered on MTV it played from 0000 until 0500 continually. I watched it for all 5 hours! It's very different and so many people hated it at the time as it has a different vocal style in many places.
This is probably one of the biggest growers, the immaculate production is one thing, but I also feel like the songs , especially certain specific ones have pretty interesting structures which makes it a grower.
Here to Stay might be my favorite Korn track, it was my introduction into them and it has a little bit of a groove in the verses. Also love the acoustics in the vocals as well
I remember in 2002 this was the heaviest album I had ever heard. This album was immense! First Korn cd I had ever purchased. From there I got all of the other albums within the next year.
This is my most favourite album by KoЯn. I really love the guitar tone. I think Jonathan Davis used his voice to it's full potential on this album. There are some high vocals and also nice raspy parts. During recording He really sang the vocals many times until it was perfect. They rarely play songs from this album except Here to Stay, Alone I Break and Thoughtless, because the songs are so complex and composed of many elements which can't be accurately replicated live. Also some parts are too high to sing for Jonathan and in others He struggles to catch a breath. But the atmosphere of this album is excellent. They worked on it for 3 years and I think it showed. But when they released it in 2002 (in 10 days this album will be exactly 20 years old) it didn't sell that well compared to Follow the leader or Issues (In USA, FtL sold 5 million copies, Issues 3 million copies and Untouchables 1.4 million copies). Sometimes I'm not sure whether my number 1 KoЯn album is Untouchables or Issues since both are really great, but I would say long-term it's probably Untouchables.
I'm not a Korn fan, but Hollow Life, Make Believe, a few others have amazing harmony ( or chords, don't know what you guys call it in English ) Also my friends who are classical composers really loved these few songs, and the sound production is so rich and airy, just beautiful.
Jonathan said a bunch of times that this album is where he finally got to do what he was trying to do vocally over the first couple of albums, he got to do it fully here. which started during the recording of issues, pretty much the start of him being sober
This may be my favorite Korn album along with their first two. I wore this CD out when it came out, and I still listen to it from time to time to this day. I love the different direction they went . It was still heavy but atmospheric at the same time . To me this was their experimental album. Love it !
This is one of my favorite albums of all time, so creepy, ethereal and atmospheric, Jonathan's vocals are surreal (his best vocal performance without a doubt), and it blends amazing with Korn's heaviness. I wish i could discover more albums like Untouchables🥺
My favorite album from Korn is "Take a Look in the Mirror". If you thought this album was lacking in bass, the next one will cover for that. I love the click-yness and heaviness of the bass on Take a Look in the Mirror.
With Issues this is my fav from them. Untouchables set the footprint for their modern sound. But in 2000's two members left the band, so their next releases are much more different than their first albums, the sound is more darker, experimental and industrial. But 15 years latter the sound from Issues/Untouchables returned for three consecutive albums.
The instrumental versions of these tracks (if you can even find them) really helps one understand just how trippy the guitar work actually is. Their next Cd is much more consistently heavier and one of my all time favs.
After watching 4 of your album reactions I am hooked. I like your style of breaking down sections with visualisation and feeling and not only focusing on the lyrics(but you don't ignore them) or just saying "oh this was fire". Good job Molly keep it up!
Thanks so much, I really appreciate that! I know sometimes I don't really focus as much as I probably should be on the lyrics, I just get so caught up in the sound and feeling of the music on first listen. Glad you're enjoying the channel :)
@@mollyesanborn it's your channel and your reactions and if you feel comfortable with having the lyrics up or breaking down both the music and then the lyrics, go for it! I like your approach! I think you are very relatable and that's a good thing for a reaction channel! :)
Musically I prefer the previous Albums. But this one has a special place in my heart, because I bought it on my birthday as a teen and at that time I felt like crap emotionally, even got into tons of arguments with my mother (with which I have and had an awesome relationship otherwise). I blasted this Album for weeks and it helped me through this low in my life. Thats also why I cant really listen to it anymore, it directly connects to these feelings I had. Soundwise its quite a dark, moody and melancholic album, with tons of electric elements. It also introduced Jonathans new vocal style, which is quite different. Partly with how they mixed it, but also with how he chooses to use his voice general. Overall I think this and Take a look in the Mirror are the last good/decent Korn albums.
I like and appreciate all their albums. Untouchables, Take a Look, and Issues are my three favorites from the older times. However their last 3 albums are pretty great! I didn't listen much to KoRn iii, and Path of Totality, not because I didn't like them but I simply just moved on to other artist during those times. I've managed to listen to those other albums over the last fee years and came to love and enjoy them as well. However the older albums will always be in rotation in my mind. I play Untouachables when i need a really good cry.
this is probably my favorite Korn album, the up tempo tracks had some awesome groove to them, courtesy of Fieldys bass...I liked how they ventured into newer ground, Alone I Break for example, as well as the inclusion of electronica, without anything sounding forced, and still retaining their signature Korn sound...thanks by the way Molly, I was watching this on my phone with headphones, on the train, and I laughed out loud when you unintentionally said "pop Korn" ...as usual, great review..I haven't heard much from Korn past this point, so I'm looking forward to seeing your future Korn videos
Thoughtless was a big radio hit. People overlook having a single that goes big when a band already has a handful of albums out, and what that can do for a their career and longevity. Sure, there are people that absolutely loved the first couple albums. But I bet there are as many or more Korn fans that got into them during this time rather than when they were first coming out.
I remember this album came out around the time I graduated high school. I remember fans hating this album. I wasn't a huge fan of this album but will admit some songs grow on you. Rarely listen to this album nowadays.
I'm one of those fans that hated this album. I don't hate it anymore but I don't like it either. I feel like old Korn fans (like me, OG from 94) just didn't jive with the super over produced sound and the predictable song structure and JDs vocals. I love their first two albums and have a nostalgic spot for ftl and issues but I completely jumped ship with Untouchables. I like stuff from most of the albums that followed but have been disappointed for the most part.
This was their first album after Jonathan started getting vocal training, and you can really hear the change in his voice. They also did some fantastic editing , especially with the low range. This used to be one of my testing albums when setting up custom car audio installations.
You should check out the music video for Thoughtless. It's.. interesting to say the least. Also, in my opinion, I think Thoughtless is one of the best songs they've ever written. It's heavy, melodic, has great lyricism, and has classic Korn scat in the bridge.
I'm so glad to get suggested this video. I am an insane korn fan and the way you described this album has me hooked. Awesome, detailed commentary and opinions. Can't wait to go back and see some of your past work. Have a good week.
Brilliant album.. My eldest daughter was 2 when this came out. She's 23 now, and has the album cover from, see you on the other side Korn album tattooed on her shoulder.. Must have been listening in the car with her old pops..😎🤘
Easily my favorite Korn album! The song structures are just astounding, nothing short of amazing. It's dark, heavy, aggressive, melodic, atmospheric, diverse, emotional, intense and powerful. This album has helped me get through some cripplingly emotional times of sadness and depression in my teenage years. It's one of my all time favorite albums.
2:52 No, it's a guitar with a lot of effects :) Guitar sounds which are heavily modulated by effects are a trademark of KoЯn and I think it's most utilized on this album (although present on majority of other albums). The intro to Make Believe or Hating, the bridge of Here to Stay, Embrace, Alone I Break or Thoughtless and the entirety of Hollow Life, One More Time or Wake up the Hate are all proofs of very unconventional and unique way of using the electric guitar.
Korn always has such a switch up in each album, thats what makes them age so well. Your channel is my fav reaction channel! I love the way you edit the videos and your remarks are insightful. Once you get through more of their discography, I remastered some of their super early unreleased work you would have a blast listening to. It's under a playlist on my channel called "KoRn Early Work". The progression is insane.
Yeah, Korn never disappoints with providing something new on each of their albums. I love when bands aren't afraid to change up their sound. And I'll have to check out that unreleased stuff from them on your channel, thanks for letting me know! :)
Here to Stay is the song that stands out on this album for me, it sounds dirty, heavy and powerful. Thanks for the reaction video, I had to make a coffee to enjoy it as it deserved.
This was the album that introduced me to Korn. around 2003 maybe 2004?, my aunt got me the album as a gift. I don’t remember if it was a birthday gift or just a random gift but she got it for me. I didn’t have the slightest clue who the band was but I listened to it I got more into it and after that I slowly became more and more devoted to them until I ended up collecting every last one of their albums to date
Issues and untouchables came out at very important times in my life when I was in very dark places and I cannot praise them enough for getting me through those times.
From what I've read this album the reason why it sounds so much more polished than the other albums is because around this time of new way of recording came around And also before this album the singer Jonathan took vocal lessons so this is when his vocals became bigger and grander and they added electronics to this album which is Johnson Davis's favorite type of music
This was the first full Korn album I lisened to. A year after it came out, I was listening to Alone I Break when I found out my uncle died, and it's still my favourite track from the album. Followed by No One's There and Thoughtless. Can't wait for the Take A Look In The Mirror Reaction. Right Now, Counting On Me, Did My Time, Alive and Y'all Want A Single are the main tracks from it, also, listen to the cover of A Brick In The Wall after.
Korn are one of the best Nu Metal bands. I loved their sound growing up. There's a new band you should react to that's also Nu metal but they have a very modern and fresh approach that looks like it appeals to younger audiences. They're called October Ends and they're putting a new album in 3 weeks. You should react to it or any of their songs
My fave Korn album. Hating has always been one of my fave tracks. It probably was my fave until Love and Meth. These days I’m into a lot of prog so that might help explain my fondness for this album. As well as it containing some of Jonathon’s best vocals.
I've never been able to get into this album outside of a couple of songs, but I respect what Korn was trying to do. Growing artistically isn't always smooth, and sometimes you have to take risks. I also never realized how much of a precursor this album was to later albums...
My favorite album of theirs. I think they always embraced pop in their music. But it’s more noticeable in this album. If you’ve ever heard Gary Numan, this is the direction they went on this album. Fusing Metal with New Wave.
Although at first I didn't liked it so much, after a while I started digging the new direction Korn took on this album with their sound. Love your reactions Molly!
It had an industrial/grunge sound, "one more time" then fluctuates with some heavy bass in these songs, Blame, Thoughtless, Here to Stay, Hollow Life, all very good songs, this is my favorite album from them, one of my favorites of all time.
Even though Untouchables is definitely not Korn's best album, it's probably the one I'm most attached to: it only takes a few seconds of its huge, large and layered sound to bring me back to the summer of many years ago and make the memories flow, so out of all your Korn reactions this one was the one I enjoyed the most, it was so fun seeing your first listen ^^ Sadly, Untouchables didn't sell well when it came out: someone leaked the whole album before its release, and because in early 2000s piracy was not seen as a big deal, a lot of people simply downloaded it and didn't buy it. To make up for the HUGE amount of money Korn lost (I believe Untouchables' production was the most expensive out of all Korn albums at the time), the band released Take A Look In The Mirror only a year later, and imho this is its biggest issue. You'll have the chance to see (or hear lol) for yourself, but when listening to Take A Look In The Mirror I think it's very obvious that it was kinda rushed. With that said, it still has some pretty good tracks and...THE BAGPIPES ARE BACK! I'm looking forward to the next Korn reaction to see what you think about it and if you agree (or disagree) with me ^^
Glad you enjoyed the reaction! I'm very excited to give Take A Look In The Mirror a listen now, I'll see if I pick up on that rushed quality to its sound that you mentioned.
At the time, this album was definitely their most sonically expansive album, with much bigger sounding production and ambience. This album took the band like 2 years to make, and it's a very unique sounding album. I do think it often gets overlooked and underrated, but it is a very strong Korn album.
This is my favorite Korn album by a long shot. It slowly grows on you and you become lost in the pristine production of it. It's no wonder it's Jonathan's favorite one too
At the end that was just a Here To Stay remix. It’s a hidden track, so it’s meant to be a separate song from No One’s There. Anyway, I enjoyed your review of the album, just as I did for all the others. Since you pointed out stuff about Jonathan Davis’s vocals throughout the album, you might be interested to know that with this album, Jonathan started taking vocal lessons. He has joked that this album is when he became a “real singer”. I liked your review of No One’s There and how you described what the song was like towards the end because that’s pretty much the same way I look at it. It’s my favorite song on the album. I actually met Korn twice last year and I was just telling them how important their music is to me in my life, and I actually referenced No One’s There. I told them I have this story I’m making that is inspired by how I relate to this song. Jonathan wished me luck on it and they gave me some kind words, it was really cool. But yeah, I love that song, I love the whole album. Interestingly enough, Jonathan has said this album is his favorite Korn album.
Love your reactions to the music I really enjoy and have been listening to for over 20 years. Tool, Deftones, Slipknot, System of a Down and Korn big bands for me in the late 90s and early 2000s and still are. It's great to hear fresh perspectives on these bands that I love. Keep up the great work!
I first hear it when i was a teenager, now, when i see a teenager listening it too i hope you´ve got all the nice memories i´ve got in the moment :) love ur chanel
Hollow Life Is Probably One Of The Best Tracks On This Album.... Its Personable For Me But Speaks Volumes With Core Vocals & Meaning Behind The Scenes ... But Thanks For Checking This Out Molly Your An Absolute Korn Fan !!! Love Your Vibes & Reactions To Our New Metal Music!!!
What I always say about the songs on Untouchables is that they can fit well in an action movie. I remember years ago I couldn't stop listening to Here to Stay, and it left a mark on me. And at :32, you meant 2002, just saying.
This album IMHO is peak KoRn. Very unpopular opinion, but this is my top album in terms of instrument sounds. You should watch their live concert release of this album.
Полностью согласен с твоим мнением. Этот альбом прекрасно звучит и в чисто инструментальной версии без вокала. Его интересно слушать и 20лет спустя, да и через 30 буду слушать с кайфом
This was one of the last decent albums imo .. When Head came back finally Serenity Of Suffering is imo one if their best post FTL albums. This album was recorded digitally first of it's kind when it was done. The sound is amazing,
One of their best albums! I agree with the tracks having a floaty/space-like feel and atmosphere, it's very unique. I look forward to enjoying your reactions to the rest of their discography (I even think my least favorite album of theirs is awesome imo.) Also I think you should check out the band members solo and side projects! Jonathan Davis released a solo album called "Black Labyrinth" in 2018, it's an interesting listen. Guitarist Brian Welch (aka "Head") has a solo record titled "Save Me From Myself" and is in a band of his own called Love and Death. They released two albums, "Between Here and Lost" and "Perfectly Preserved". You should definitely give those albums a shot.
Yeah I love the atmosphere that they created on this album, they definitely achieved that floaty sound while keeping it dense and heavy at the same time (really cool how they did that). And thanks for suggesting their solo stuff too, I'll have to check it out when I finish up with Korn's albums!
this album is pinnacle Korn, i would par it with the first one only just because the first album created unique sound, but what Korn did with Michael Beinhorn with Untouchables just shows its greatness after over 20 years it was made.
I really doubt if someone recommended this and I wasn't sure were to suggest this but listen Snot "Get Some". Their first and only album, due to the tragic death of the lead singer Lynn (and his dog Dobbs) in a car accident.
I remember this album being leaked not too long (like a few months) before its release. So they rearranged the track order and altered all the song titles, plus a few subtle changes. It was actually the first Korn album my friends and I were disappointed with despite a few good tracks.
As a long time fan, since they ever popped up, I love every single album, but this one was a bit of a shock to the system, took a moment to digest, but didnt take long before I listened to it over and over, love it, very much understand the hasitation if anything, but its a very very good album
Great video, I can't wait for Take A Look In The Mirror! The 4th song on take a look in the mirror "Here It Comes Again" is my favorite song out of their entire discography, can't wait :D
This was my first Korn album, I got it on CD, aggressively censored as was the style at the time right when it came out, as an edgy teen loner I connected with it on a pretty deep level and it is still my favourite Korn album. I still listen to it pretty often. love the remix of here to stay bonus track at the end.
While Korn uses synths at times, a good chunk of the time the guitars and bass are doing a lot of effect pedal work that would fool someone to thinking they're using a keyboard. So the plucky stuff at the beginning of Make Believe is guitars with effects pedals on them. Korn has played with emulating hip hop sounds with their guitars for years, and Untouchables was like the culmination of all the tricks they picked up in that pursuit, though it's lacking the Hip Hop element completely. Head and Munky's pedal boards are very elaborate. I think they took pedal work further than a lot of bands, without it ever causing them to lose their style. Jon's even done pedal work on his vocals, though that was mostly on Follow The Leader, "Seed" being a big example of that. This album took a while for me to warm up to over the years. Again, it's completely void of any of the Hip Hop groove that Korn had in the early days, and this album set the tone for where Korn would go from on out. They had times where they would go back to a raw sound (The next album, Take A Look in the Mirror being the first time), but the groove and funk of the classic albums never returned. I still think they make amazing music, but it's different. Their style of song-writing also became more formulaic after. Korn went from funky to more Industrial. I think that's why David Silveria, the original drummer left. There was less room for his swing/hip hop style drumming, and they needed someone who would play to the click more. They never made an album as ambitious as Untouchables again, but they kept a lot of the tricks they picked up on this album. I love Untouchables now, but I do think at times there's almost too much going on for its own good. Some of those songs were quite difficult for Korn to play live, which is one of the reasons I think they were so quick to go back to the studio and release the follow up the next year. I honestly think the albums they have done in the last 10 years with Head back in the band have been great. They're like if Untouchables showed a little more restraint and allowed some breathing room in the tracks. I would like another crazy Hip Hop inspired Korn album, but I just don't think that would ever happen again.
Yeah they really strayed away from that hip hop groove on this album, that's for sure. I think that's partly why it took some adjusting while I was listening to it. It is cool though that they did decide to experiment a lot with their sound as opposed to sticking to what was expected from them. I appreciate bands that take the risk of evolving and changing their sound.
So based off the comments that I've read it seems that a lot of people are noticing the difference of Johnathan Davis' voice. I don't remember for sure if I read it somewhere or I just figured it out on my own but its pretty obvious that he had some kind of vocal training to improve his vocals and I wanted to see Molly if you noticed a change too. He projects more sings more clearly and more in tune compared to his voice in the earlier albums like the first 2. His vocals were unique back in the day but they seem more polished now. I also wanted to see if you noticed a change in their overall sound. With their earlier albums most noticeably their first two they had that unique gritty quirky sound playing those weird sounding guitar riffs and cords that made it sound groovy and funky. Starting with this album they seem to have a change in direction and now have a more mainstream futuristic electronic sound which they pretty much stick with this style for the rest of their career with the exception of their next album Take A Look In The Mirror which I really love and Korn 3 Remember Who You Are which is my least favorite album. When you made the comment on the song "Thoughtless" you said that was a normal sounding song for Korn and that's exactly what I mean. They have a lot of "normal" sounding songs in their later albums with the quirky sound we were once used to in the older albums being non existent for the most part. That's why I'm very excited for you to react to the newer albums so you can see the change of their overall sound and compare it to their older albums. Love your channel and keep up the great work!!!
Yeah there is for sure a change in the sound on this album, it was noticeable on Issues and even Follow The Leader too, that grittiness is muted a bit by the electronic touches and "smoothness" that they take their sound in the direction of. I'm really curious to hear the rest of their albums, I'm always in for some fun surprises with every Korn album!
Untouchables is amazing. It's in my top 3 of my list of Korn albums. This record is darker, heavier, and atmospheric. It was innovative like the self titled and FTL records were in ways where I felt Life is Peachy and Issues lacked. Some people/critics call this record Korn's "Dark Side of the Moon". It isn't bland at all. Michael Beinhorn did an excellent job with the production. Unfortunately the band did not further expand on this sound and with the dynamics they created on this record. I felt like the band was at it's peak here musically ( they would eventually experiment with their sound on their Untitled record).
I would if I could! Editing and keeping up with the comments pretty much has me limited to just one a week for now. I'll certainly keep Filter in mind for future videos though :)

One more time has to be one of the most underrated korn songs. Still one of my favourites!
The chorus of that song is out of this world

This may be my favorite Korn album along with their first two. I wore this CD out when it came out, and I still listen to it from time to time to this day. I love the different direction they went . It was still heavy but atmospheric at the same time . To me this was their experimental album. Love it !

Take A Look In The Mirror is very underreated
Yeah, a return to the basics perhaos, but some kind of drop of form.
That album is really bland and repetitive. To each their own tho
That’s funny because Jonathan Davis hates that album but it’s one of my favorites also

Take A Look is hmm weird... signalling an end of a chapter, whivh actually did happen.

I'll have to try and find those instrumental versions.
Here To Stay is such a CRUSHING song. Loving the Korn reactions!!!

@@mollyesanborn it's your channel and your reactions and if you feel comfortable with having the lyrics up or breaking down both the music and then the lyrics, go for it! I like your approach! I think you are very relatable and that's a good thing for a reaction channel! :)
This album is pure perfection. Thanks for doing these!
Thanks for watching!
I have been a fan since 94' and will be for life! They are one of a kind and never afraid to try new things. One of the best ever!
this is probably my favorite Korn album, the up tempo tracks had some awesome groove to them, courtesy of Fieldys bass...I liked how they ventured into newer ground, Alone I Break for example, as well as the inclusion of electronica, without anything sounding forced, and still retaining their signature Korn sound...thanks by the way Molly, I was watching this on my phone with headphones, on the train, and I laughed out loud when you unintentionally said "pop Korn" ...as usual, great review..I haven't heard much from Korn past this point, so I'm looking forward to seeing your future Korn videos
Yep, that bass groove is so fantastic! Glad you got a kick out of the pop-korn moment haha :D
Thoughtless was a big radio hit. People overlook having a single that goes big when a band already has a handful of albums out, and what that can do for a their career and longevity. Sure, there are people that absolutely loved the first couple albums. But I bet there are as many or more Korn fans that got into them during this time rather than when they were first coming out.
the video for it has a very young Aaron Paul as the main character.
This is not only Korn's best album but one of the best albums in music history. Classic!
This was their first album after Jonathan started getting vocal training, and you can really hear the change in his voice.
They also did some fantastic editing , especially with the low range. This used to be one of my testing albums when setting up custom car audio installations.
This album was way ahead of it's time! Korn knew how to combine groovy and futuristic style of nu metal, but also this one is very heavy!🤘❤
Wow thanks, I really appreciate the kind words! Glad you are enjoying all of the Korn videos :)
I blasted this album for weeks in my portable cd player back in middle school. Damn, still hits hard.
Thanks for letting me know :)
Incredible album from start to end. Listen to this when working out, criminally underated album.
thoughtless, alone I break, embrace, and here to stay are the best songs of this album 👌
real
"HOLLOW LIFE" I got my Son into korn that's crazy when i think of it and that im getting old.
No One's There is such a solid ending track. i wish they would play it live at least once as a closer
i love seeing u groove to these guys. nice insight! brings back memories of hearing this driving to the submarine- i love your expressions!! rock on !
Yeah there is a fantastic heaviness to Here To Stay that I love as well. Thanks for watching the video, I hope you enjoyed your coffee :)
From what I've read this album the reason why it sounds so much more polished than the other albums is because around this time of new way of recording came around
And also before this album the singer Jonathan took vocal lessons so this is when his vocals became bigger and grander and they added electronics to this album which is Johnson Davis's favorite type of music
The best album reaction RUclipsr is back with another banger! 😉 . Your videos are great Molly. Well done yet again.
Aw thank you! Glad you enjoyed the video :)
Your analysis of this album is great! 👍👍👍🤘🤘🤘
Thanks! :)
Yeah they certainly do some different stuff on this album, don't they? It's a bit of an adjustment.
My favorite korn album, took a few listens to get used to the new sound but fell in love with it after some time. Nice react!
It had an industrial/grunge sound, "one more time" then fluctuates with some heavy bass in these songs, Blame, Thoughtless, Here to Stay, Hollow Life, all very good songs, this is my favorite album from them, one of my favorites of all time.
you will always get my like for your Korn reactions! 😄
I like your hair, by the way 😍
Aw thank you! Glad you like the haircut haha :)
Their run of Issues-Untouchables-Take a Look in the Mirror gotta be among my favorites for any band
Take a look in the mirror does not belong in that list. It’s not that good.
Even though Untouchables is definitely not Korn's best album, it's probably the one I'm most attached to: it only takes a few seconds of its huge, large and layered sound to bring me back to the summer of many years ago and make the memories flow, so out of all your Korn reactions this one was the one I enjoyed the most, it was so fun seeing your first listen ^^
Sadly, Untouchables didn't sell well when it came out: someone leaked the whole album before its release, and because in early 2000s piracy was not seen as a big deal, a lot of people simply downloaded it and didn't buy it.
I didn’t like it before but it is for sure an album that grew on me.
Thanks, I really appreciate that! I'm glad that you're enjoying the videos :)
The "Pop Korn" joke, killed me. lol
This album took some time to grow on me too. Eventually turned into one of my favorite Korn albums
What I always say about the songs on Untouchables is that they can fit well in an action movie. I remember years ago I couldn't stop listening to Here to Stay, and it left a mark on me. And at :32, you meant 2002, just saying.
i was about to say wtf but glad to see its growing on you, i got this when it came out and loved every single song instantly
You should definitely do Twelve Foot Ninja, and Fair to Midland. Neither will disappoint!
Love this monthly upload, always looking forward to seeing these!🤘
Yay, happy to hear that! Glad you're enjoying the Korn videos :)
Issues and Untouchables were everything for me as a 9 - 13 years old, super enjoying going over them after so much time
My most favourite songs from this album are Embrace, Here to Stay, Make Believe, One More Time and No One's There.
In my opinion the most underrated and not talked about korn album. It’s an amazing album just gets overshadowed
This was one of the last decent albums imo .. When Head came back finally Serenity Of Suffering is imo one if their best post FTL albums. This album was recorded digitally first of it's kind when it was done. The sound is amazing,
This is a great Korn album.. They always mix it up. Even on there recent album. What a band. Great intuitive reaction 👍🏻 😍
Definitely Korn’s best album! Here to stay and Thoughtless are amazing!
I'd say it's a grower for sure, with repeated listens I'm really digging this album now!
@Master Kush Their last four albums are better than their middle discography. I actually prefer Serenity of Suffering to Issues.
Definitely not sorry. Nothing they do will probably ever come close to touching their self-titled album.
I remember this album being leaked not too long (like a few months) before its release. So they rearranged the track order and altered all the song titles, plus a few subtle changes. It was actually the first Korn album my friends and I were disappointed with despite a few good tracks.
Popkorn! why had I never thought of that LOL :)
Ooh I'm looking forward to hearing that!
This is a crazy album and it has it's dark moments at times on this one
This is my absolutely favorite Korn album. Issues is probably my second. I wish I could have appreciated them when they came out but I was too young
Yessss, I look forward to your reviews!
:)
Glad your getting into Korn they really do have a wide variety of sound and untouchables it's one of my favorites
I listened to Hollow Life so many times it created a little ridge on the cd where nr 4 is written. I love that track.
This was my first Korn album, I got it on CD, aggressively censored as was the style at the time right when it came out, as an edgy teen loner I connected with it on a pretty deep level and it is still my favourite Korn album. I still listen to it pretty often. love the remix of here to stay bonus track at the end.
Spot on with the effects comment. I remember that each song has a "twin" where they implement the same sound.
Untouchable, unsmellable... but so fckng listenable! My favourite album!🥰
love your reviews
Glad you're enjoying the videos! I'm looking forward to hearing Take A Look In The Mirror next :)
"Here to stay" was the song that really clicked with me. That was my entrance to heavier music. 22 flippin' years ago 👴
This is one of my favorite albums of all time, so much emotion. JD’s voice is like nothing else.
I cannot wait for your reaction to See You On The Other Side! :D
because the music do and then its reaching inside you🗣
Molly you need to start doing more reviews each week 🙌🙌🙌 remember Filter - Title of Record 😉
I would if I could! Editing and keeping up with the comments pretty much has me limited to just one a week for now. I'll certainly keep Filter in mind for future videos though :)
@@mollyesanborn totally get it - if only we had more time :)
