Marilyn Manson has so much symbology in this video. The spotlight on him, the pitch fork, the balloons, etc etc. Having followed him for decades now, you start to pick these things up. I noticed you mentioned Holywood - his connection with that album and this song goes very closely. His scream in the ending chorus reminds me so much of his older material. Best scream since Holywood.

Ive seen Manson live 10 times since the 90'a and always a lovely show. This reminds me of his older stuff and I like it.

I actually really like some songs on The Golden Age Of Grotesque, but I respect your statement!

@@brookeholzhauerThe Golden Age of Grotesque is my favorite album of his. No idea why it gets so overlooked, or even hated. This new album is honestly giving it some competition though for me.

I’d argue Antichrist was best before this album but all of them have great gems.

@@Hulkscastingcouch Respectfully, his best album is Mechanical Animals. haha.

@@semmert haaaaaaa nah man. I can see your point though. It’s hard for me to choose portrait of American family or Antichrist superstar. Mechanical is third for me. Honestly. I really like them all. What about you?

Let's think for a second how deep this is. He is basically calling out the media and those women who accused him. He is literally telling us we will always be entertained by the media. This album is his battle anthem. This was the farm version of The Exorcist. He literally painted the whole thing with his words, his articulation is second to none.

Manson talking about finding god and recovery on the album. Was insane. Great work. If you’re struggling listen to this album. Best line I liked from the album ( it’s not how I wanted to die) that hit deep.

I am going to disagree with you on him finding God. He questions it himself on the album. I foget the actual track name, but will eventually find it and if I remember, will past it here for you. But he certainly questions. More so than ever.

@ I had it on replay for 11 hrs due to a road trip. 😊 I always like hearing other people’s take on music. That’s why art (music) is so great. When he said “take my name off the devils to do list. Burn ever page in that little black book. And we hope it remains in the mouth of god.” That’s a line I don’t think Bryan would’ve ever said before. But I like hearing what you think. Definitely a good album.

Been a fan since Antichrist Superstar was released. I think he finally reínvented himself with all the songs released lately! This is not some usual aging rock star stuff.
