Hey man, just wanted to say that I think you are the best communicator for RUclips Infinity out there. Great channel, would love to see some more vids for people that are new to the game but not beginners. For example general tactics for and against the different factions, thoughts on how to best deploy or different types of plays. Anyway just some suggestions, as a newer player I'd def watch that, your beginner vids on for example hacking was also great for me to get into Aleph ^^
Thank you so much Teezec! I really appreciate the support, it definitely keeps me going. I love your suggestion of more examples on tactics and counters.
@@the_infinitygamer sweet! I'm almost a year into playing my first army (OSS Aleph) now and finally starting to get the hang of what's good deploy, good lists, what to actually do with troops when I'm on the table, but it's taken a while to get there. In the beginning I was scared of every decision and had no idea how to play, when to move a character out and attack and when to not etc. It's not always easy to get the needed reps in.
I unknowingly started my Infinity addiction when I picked up the Nomad Mobil Brigada box a few years ago because they were just so cool and I wanted to paint something. Got into a demo game and have been hooked ever since! And Nomads are a great option to play with, swapping a unit or two can completely change how the list plays, and they tend to have something for every encounter. Late deploying parachutists or drop troopers are a nasty surprise that can make an opponent scramble to change lines of fire, hackers with easy access to repeaters and pitchers, lots of engineering, and remotes/servants. Some CC, some good shooters, stealth, great HI and TAG's, it can be hard for an enemy to pin down your playstyle once you're comfortable with the faction.
Hey man. Stoked for your new video. I really enjoy your content, IMHO you are the best Infinity creator on youtube. About NOMADS, I feel exactly the same. So many ways to play them (even though I own a Corregidor team based on Crimson Stone and supplements) that I am never sure what to buy next! haha and the hacking game in N4 is just so powerful, which I think dilutes a bit of the challenge of playing. Anyway, thanks for the video! I appreciate your work mate.
Good video, been working on a WinterForce army and I am torn between Morats and the new Bakunin for my second. Also I don't have much of a community where I live so having two armies would be good for introducing people to this game.
I ordered the Observance bundle just for the style. I was very happy to find out that Kusanagi + the Action Pack make a perfect 7SWC 300Pts list where every model exactly represents its profile. It is only 10 models, but it's very well-rounded. I will play this list at some tournament just for fun when they're all painted up. I will not buy anything else for Bakunin or Nomads, though. But for now my project for a 2-day event in a few weeks is an Ikari list with Scarface and a Triphammer used unconventionally and no one will expect. Could potentially be good, will definitely be fun.
Been away for awhile. I feel you with having a faction you love that has not seen the table. I have the family starting Code One again, and my Military Orders that aren't Code One cock their heads at me every time I open the figure case...
The thing I don't like about Bakunin is that everyone seems to be playing Nomads and they are not fun to play against. I can't play my HI Yu Jing because half of my group is playing Corregidor or Bakunin. It sucks having my force immobilized or isolated first turn. If it's not that, then spot lighted and missiled. Other than that, they look cool.
@@the_infinitygamer I think it' less the growth of HI but of cheap good hackers and pitchers. It's almost impossible to play an HI force right now. Which sucks if you play mainly a HI faction like IA or MO.
@@the_infinitygamer I've stopped playing YJ because of the issue. YJ has great HI that I can’t use. It’s certainly possible to play YJ (particularly IA) without HI but where’s the fun in that? Can you think of playing MO without any knights? YJ does have some good Non-HI troops but not to the extent of other factions. Sadly, right now the greatest strength of YJ is also their weakness. It might get better if Nomads become not as popular but there’s also CA who are just as good with hacking and lots of pitchers/repeaters.
Playing MO without knights? That would be like having a burger without the bun! Although, a Jujak HI pure core with tinbot -6 makes it very tricky to take down.
@@the_infinitygamer I can't imagine they would be. They were produced via Modiphius (spelling?) Games and basically every word had to to through Gutier. I can't see that level of work being done again. It's still a nice buy for those interested in the basic background of the various factions.
The only thing I can recommend as a new person to Infinity, because of the Bakunin Observance, is that there need to be more cats in Bakunin related videos lol
Other than the Observance, a HEAP of Bakunin units are at least part of the way to being cats: you've got the chimera/pupniks, the old daktari, morlocks and the monkey king, along with it feeling like a 20% chance any random citizen will be heavily modified.
I can help with your pronounciation! It’s actually spelled “pronunciation” and is pronounced exactly like it is spelt 😊 Tip: if you’re unsure type the word into Google followed by the word “pronounce” or “pronunciation”. Google will give you a little play button of how it sounds based on whichever dictionary you prefer (i.e. Oxford for British and Websters for American) Gruppe is actually German

They do sound like fun! Sold!! I’ll definitely give them a run 😃

You’re far too kind! The hacking is exciting and I’ve never really seen it massively leaned into but I do think that’s a big draw for Nomads.
Love the sleek editing in this one!
Yay! Thank you 😊

I do love Morats - they’re a lot more simplistic than Bakunin but I suppose you know what you need in a play style

I’m sure it’s going to be a good performer at a tournament. Oooh I haven’t seen Ikari played before.
I just dove from a few Codeone action sets to wallet burning into Bakunin... Looks like I'll have my work set out for me 😅
Hahaha you may as well have a direct monthly payment going to Corvus Belli!

I bet it’s tough to keep them on the shelf. Could a step up to N4 be on the cards?

That’s a great perspective. With the growth of HI in many factions it’s a great counter.

👍👍
In all fairness, if you want the lore you really should pick up the different lore books - and especially mordiphius' RPG books.
Do you mean the previous edition hardback books?
"Most" of the RPG books are now fairly dated and useful as a consolidated collection of very basic back story. It's been left behind.
Is it going to be revamped do you think?

I suppose the new novels will get similar attention and the development of a nomad one is nice to see for the development of the faction’s lore.
