I have been running a calcium reactor for 7 months but I run it in a much simpler way. No feed pump to start with, it's gravity fed and I let the flow free at 250-300 ml/min. I have to clean the tube every 4 months or so. No pH probe either. To dial it in I just measured the Kh in the tank daily for a few weeks and adjusted the CO2 bubbles/min, that's the only thing I control. The output goes into the refugium to let the chaeto use some of the CO2. The refugium runs with an opposite schedule of the tank and I also use kalk in the RO water at night to avoid pH fluctuations. PH in the tank is usually in the 8.2-8.3 range. I am using a cheap bubble magus calcium reactor (170 eur) for my 200 gallon tank. This reactor recirculates de CO2 and I think that's probably the reason why i can get away with such a high flow in the effluent.
Hello Travis thanks for the video im dosing two part and really would like to go with a cal reactor. And your video makes it a easier to set one up. My tank is a SPS dominant and that's my fear is messing up to do the change over. I'm definitely going to check in to getting one thank you !!
Thanks for sharing as always. Tons of great info here. One area of feedback when you show fusion would be easier to see if you zoomed in your browser to 125-150%. Keep this great content coming maybe one day I will attempt a calcium reactor. My love for softies and lps is allowing me to avoid but maybe someday I will turn into a stick head.
nice video, everything explained. Just one question... Apex bar won't broke because switching on and off co reugaltor lot times per day? Somewhere I read that for example it is not good put heater on apex bar to switch on and off all day.
Hey great video just setup a geo 818 and I have crazy amounts of bubbles in the chamber and noise I’m running pump to pulling water instead of pushing what do you think it could be causing this problem thanks
How would you feel about running the Geo outside of the sump area? My space under the tank is limited and I’m thinking about placing it above my little control cabinet next to the tank.
Hey brov nice video as always you defo know your stuff I had to give my tank up but I have plans to build a dream tank ones we get our new house we will be moving in two years so didn't want to get one set up and then have to brake it down again plus I just don't have the time for one just now with work commitments anyways I will keep watching your videos brov all the best
Appreciate all the info Ive been tracking your progress and the switch from zeovit to Triton now trident syetem I believe. Question what made you switch and which one is the one that's most Keep It Simple Stupid. Additionally which system worked best with your reactors

dude your next level...you make everything sound so easy but its yet so complicated. LOL! I appreciate the shared knowledge through out the years.
Keep the great content coming bro. Appreciate all the info you put out. Has saved me more than once.
hello, was wondering when the carbondoser video will be up hehe

Ill do the zoom next time thanks
Great content, very informative. What do I need to convert the Sicce .5 pump to function as a feed pump. Thank you

Where/when did you get that Geosreef 30 gallon ATO tank? I’m looking for one that size but they don’t have it on their page.
This is a custom build. Check out the 300 gallon Playlist
On any tank over 90g get a calc reactor unless keeping soft corals
hi travis one question what check valve you used is since to be so close to the bubble counter that looks like is screw to it is

Those are all systems i have tried for the sake of testing the method. I have always been about keeping my main displays simple
What size acrylic tube did they use ? 1/4 or 1/8 does it feel solid?
I like the setup!💰
You still think this is the best option for a reef tank? How about a Dastaco in comparison?
You keep talking about this new system but I know it's so far in the future that I just want to take quick 2 year nap so I don't gotta wait to see it.
Just wondering, can I use oyster shells in a calcium reactor. There from the sea, rich in calcium, and cheap.
Carib Sea ACS00525 Arm Reactor Filter Media for Aquarium, 1-Gallon.. what function it fulfills or what is the good thing about having it?
Merci pour ta vidéo !!! 👍👍👍
Why didn’t you choose to use the Kamoer pump with your setup?
It's not fast enough and to many moving parts
Will they make me one that says HEY FUCKER on the top?
Great video but still seems intimidating, lol.
5th lol
