‪ Helen Hayes Hospital Honors Assembly 2014 Honors William Keenan

On September 14, 2013, William Keenan broke his neck in a surfing accident, resulting in quadriplegia. He arrived at Helen Hayes Hospital, without the use of his arms and legs, dependent on a ventilator, and unable to eat, drink, or drive his wheelchair independently.
A year later, Mr. Keenan is no longer dependent on a ventilator, uses a sip and puff to drive his wheelchair, and wholeheartedly believes in the power of rehabilitation.
