This was NOT a card I thought I'd get, but actually fits my habits more than I thought. Do you have the Amex Business Gold? What are your favorite things about it?
Kevin is so right about the bar being low. I just got a targeted offer for 125000 MR points for the Amex Business Gold. I filled out the application with a business I might be starting. Instant approval. Downside. Have to spend 10,000 in only 3 months.

Great video! I am probably one of the few who thinks Amex made the business Gold Card better when they revamped it. Having cell phone protection with a 4x multiplier for wireless carriers is not usually what you see combined together on one card. I like the 4x on top 2 categories because it allows me to pick and choose monthly what I put on this card in relation to others.
Honestly one of their better revamps! And definitely with you on the 2 categories, flexibility and ease of use! How long have you had the card?
I have had it almost a year now and I originally thought I may cancel it but, I think it is a keeper card for me as long as I continue to use it like I have in the past year mainly for gas and cell phone payments/protection. Keep up the great vids! @@KevinYang

I am in the exact same boat...only dining card are amex green and CSP. Just picked up the amex business gold a couple weeks ago...also at the 130k mark. I did not expect them to grill me about my business though when I called to activate the card. That is important for people to know.

what kind of questions did they ask?
@@rainypath96 They asked what kind of business I had and which features of the card are most relevant to my business spending. It wasn't a big deal, but it felt like a filter to deny me last minute if I don't have a legit business and am only going for the sign up bonus.
For future Amex Business card activations just activate it through the Amex app. I experienced the long list of questions myself, on the third business card I activated it on the Amex app and bypassed talking to a person!

I currently applied for the gold business card and was approved as a sole prop. I currently have the gold personal. I didn’t get a pop-up window saying I wouldn’t get the welcome offer. Does this mean I qualify? The language states I’m not eligible to receive the welcome offer. If I have had this card or previous versions and I don’t know if the gold personal qualifies as “previous versions.”
I got 150k on business gold and in December and i have seen 190k on business platinum

I’m working on the 150 business gold right now. I got in for the 295 AF and will review next year depending on any retention bonus.

Well done. File this card as underrated. People laugh at the Walmart credit but it gives Amazon a run for its (gargantuan) money. The gas savings alone can stack up into the hundreds. One grubhub meal a month ain’t hard either. So you’re left with solid multipliers you have some say over. I can’t get business cards but if I could, it’d be at the top of the pile
Have you compared those gas savings compared to a place like Costco? And what prevents you from going for business cards?
Costcos aren’t really in my areas and Walmarts with Sam’s club gas are. Business cards are a no go (for now) because I can’t even pretend I’m a sole prop. Plus I’d fail the welcome offer which would defeat the purpose. Great vid

for the $240 at office supplies... can I buy gift cards ($20 per month) at Staples or Office Depot? I can increase the denomination so it can look not so obvious...
how about US media? does it include RUclips Premium or Spotify or Hulu or HBO? tried searching the definition but it was vague - "media located in the US promoting a business"

Do you have to own a business to get a Amex business credit card. I seen some Amex charge Business cards offer more benefits than average regular Amex credit card.

You should have a business, but can still get a business card if you sell stuff on the side or do Uber etc as any side gig is considered business revenue.

Churn the high SUB first. I wouldn't bother with the small stuff like the Savor or Bilt. (I have the Bilt)

@@KevinYang I'm finishing a Chase Ink right now. I really wanted the Biz Gold, but I kept getting pop-up jail, so I went for the Hilton Biz. Thinking of trying for either another Chase Ink or possibly the Marriot Boundless next month.
@@KevinYang the Bilt is OK. Slow and steady. No AF, no effort 25k+ points a year.
@@LK_EBM Have you found the right routine to make sure you're using the card 5+ times a month?
@@KevinYang I like the 3x dining. It captures some places that Amex Gold only counts as 1x. So it's easy to hit the 5 transactions.
The rent transaction counts as 1, so you really only need to use it 4 times a month.

The personal and business versions of the gold card are different products!
