It’s so interesting to see how people miss the mark on “The Thrill is Gone”. It’s not about being bored with a normal dude. It’s a song about becoming disillusioned with an abusive relationship.
What’s more interesting about music to me is that it’s open to interpretation and how it applies to you individually, rather than a “right” and “wrong” way to perceive something.
okay okay okay… am i the only one who gets major major ‘Frank’ (Amy Winehouse) vibes from this album? from the jazz club style intro (on frank it’s the outro) to her being very upfront and honest with the listener… there are so many other things. of course i’m not saying it’s exactly the same (the two albums are also very different) buuut the vibes are totally there
