+Pariah Crooks Kendrick is pretty humble. But to me it is about carrying on the flame set by the West Coast rappers. Also I think it is a generational thing, I feel more relatability to Kendrick's lyrics compared to Tupac's.

One of my least favourite freestyles of Kendrick and it's still insane. Lyrics-wise I would say Em just has him slightly but he's been around SO much longer to create more material (Em: 41; Kendrick: 26). But cadence and storytelling ability put Kendrick as no.1. Any1 who says Kendrick is nothing compared to old schoolers is seriously misguided. Keisha's song/Black Boy Fly/Art of Peer pressure e.t.c. are just more abstract versions of Brenda's Baby/Dear Mama/Thugs Cry e.t.c. applied to a different generation. Every story gotta be told differently. The only difference being that Kendrick didn't commit to the gangster life as much as 2pac...which I don't think he should be punished musically/artistically for
exactly. It also makes much more sense seeing as he saw Pac in his dreams telling him to continue his message through rap. He's doing quite the amazing job even without the gangster image, which is definitely what Pac would have wanted.

Damani gibson I can understand thinking Kendrick is a better artist, his catalog speaks for itself. His lyrics, however, are purposefully abstract, making it difficult to plant a clear picture in the listener's mind. Eminem's more blunt style of lyricism is far easier to picture in my opinion and has an immediate affect. It's like comparing JK Rowling to JRR Tolkien. Is Tolkien the more celebrated writer? Probably. But his stories more esoteric than Rowling's, whose imagery is easier to grasp and makes for "page-turners" that supersedes Tolkien's more artistic writing.

I do think he's about as good a rapper as Eminem. But Eminem is a battle rapper though, very aggressive. Lamar's style is a bit more laid back. I don't know, it would be interesting to see these guys battle each other. But it would never happen because of marketing issues.
If it ever happened, I think em would win definitely. Kendrick is aggressive, but I don't think he'd pull those disses together well. However if it was a battle they had months to prepare for, kendrick would have more of a chance
