I have a 1971 cb750 Honda street bike that someone built into an off-road 3 wheeler. It's a pretty cobbled together machine. But my Dad took it in on trade for a boat.. i was young, 12' 13ish, and i was not allowed to touch it!! Let alone drive it, we'll i snuck it out and was seen. And it was and is very narrow in the rear with a straight axle, so it was very tricky for a kid my size to try to turn around sharply!! Lol almost flipped and went off roading for a little bit, caughting some air time clearing a ditch!! Lol scared the shoot out of me ,!! Then my Dad found out and that was even scarier than the ride, because after the ride I was so pumped up and afterwards it was a blast, and all the older kids couldn't believe how fast and wicked it sounded. So he sold it to my close uncle Joe it sat in his barn since the 80's ish.. my uncle gave it and a 74ish RM250 dirt race bike. My Dad and close uncle Joe passed away in the same year, basically. But i recently went through the cards and points coils and got it running. Its not the best yet, but it idles and revs up. It just sounds rough.. but my Dad and uncle always talked about widening out the rear axle and building a new rear suspension and front suspension. And just making it safe and see just how fast it could go, they always wondered? So I'm going to find out for them... thought someone might enjoy the story. If it would let me, I'd post some before and after photos .. Take care everyone, and thanks for reading my poorly written post...lol.....Bob
Uh oh vasily is gonna have some competition! Hybrid quad warz!? You. An get just about anything done if you put your mind to it! You can tell your excited about this build. You’ve accomplished a lot in this video. That’s what we like to see! This is gonna be epic!
New Holland pa here i just finished a 1987 kawasaki mojave 250 engine swap into a 2002 yamaha raptor 660 roller it turned out great!!!! Next is a ktm 890 into another raptor 660 roller
Amazing work mate! I suggest the exhaust header should be a twin 2-1 and then true dual pipes all the way to the back... I can see the 4-1 exhaust header being a problematic fit in there as the space is limited and heat soaked radiator will be easily achieved ... 🤔 What will be the gearing setup? Stock setup will be too tall/steep but for sand drags it should be easy 1st/2nd gear races but it depends on the gearing setup 🧐 also shifter location should be careful done 🤔 keep it up man and we're looking forward to see the final product YFZ1000R !!! 🔥🔥😍👌🏻
Great video and project John. I can't wait to see how this turns out. But man... Get yourself a harbor freight belt sander. Finishing those brackets with a bench grinder is just not to the level of perfection you should aim for. All that awesome work, you shouldn't cut those little corners that do stand out. Especially if you spend all that shmo on powdercoat. But great fab work and I can't wait to see it ripping. ... You still owe me a wheelie buddy... I already have another on deck. Just waiting on you buddy 😉
not bad for a professional amateur, I say that with the utmost respect, I also go and build things in my workshop, right now I'm in the process of converting a suzuki t250 into a cafe/ street tracker, I'm almost there
Cool build, but will you please turn the wirefeed speed up just a little or the voltige down just a bit. My OCD is killing me over the Long arcing Mag welding 🤣 And BTW put a rag athleast over the intake porte while welding and grinding next to them. Keep it up John 👍👍
@@StupidFastJohn 🤣Ha ha ha ha. I'm not trying to be the grammar or pronunciation police. Just, hopefully, wanting to protect you from sounding very goofy if you got into a conversation with a welder/fabricator and kept saying "I gotta do a "rosset" weld here and here." But potato/pototoe, tomato/tomotoe whatever floats yer boat. 😉
Cool project brother. My only recommendation would be to invest in a 2x72 belt grinder for cleaning up those plasma cut parts. Since you like fabing shit i recommend checking out Jeremy shmidt.......i think thats how its spelled dudes a little weird but he designed a good unit and sells the plans that are to scale and very detailed. It can mostly be built with shit laying around there are some things that need to be purchased. I bought his plans and built one but i went cheap and used a treadmill motor and rigged up a vfd for speed control and made my own wheels from mdf and cheap bearings. Not perfect and not as good as his but holy shit dude having a 2x72 is an absolute game changer. They are typically used for knife making but is perfect for the shit you do.
If you guys like this build gimme that thumbs up! Also give Jamie at northeast mobile blasting a call for any surface removal at 570 417 1898 🤙
that thumbnail picture, bro, close your mouth. that shit ain't working for you man

First comment yeah buddy
I was literally just thinking about this concept the other day, but I was thinking the parallel twin 700 cc in a dirt bike frame
please dont cut steel on a power cord john keep doing that and you will have to change the channel name to DEAD SLOW JOE!
what about his open toe footwear? old no toe joe? one toe juan?

@@rogalandimportservice6747 u normally do put rags in the intake etc however this engine is getting s full teardown so it doesnt much matter
Thank you for not using a raptor the yfz is such a better looking quad, have you thought about what your using for shocks to handle the weight ,
Hell yeah buddy let’s gooooo speed speed speed lol
My buddy did this with a cbr1000rr engine so I have no doubts you'll be able to do this! I can send ya some vids and pics to if you wanna see it!
Hey John, it's pronounced "row-zet". Cool build dude. I guess there's gonna be a SFJ vs Vasily Builds drag race here in the near future, huh?
One of my strengths is pronouncing things incorrectly 😂

I love what you do but man the state of the shop drives me insane..could definitely use a cleaning and a organizing

Hey brotha ...Slag went in #4😢 or #2 dspending the firing order are you rebuilding this motor ?
So Wes is going to race this one when you go to Oklahoma? Lol
@@timothylong68 😂
you're gonna need some swingarm extensions
Put a corvette engine in there then I'll believe you're unique fabricator.
is motor removable?
drag racing is so lame . wahoo you hit the gas and went fast for a couple hundred feet 🤣🤣. zero skill
