    It just hit me... BUMI.
    WE'RE GONNA SEE BUMI!
And for the record: Yes, the Cabbage Man IS back! And HE'S PLAYED BY THE SAME ACTOR!
I feel like we're gonna see Ozai burn Zuko and then he's gonna dip for 2 seasons... Either way, Daniel Dae Kim looks AMAZING!

I was surprised, looking up stuff, that Daniel Dae Kim was actually in ATLA (General Fong, the guy who was trying to trigger avatar state)

Azula was in season one but briefly. She was watching during the Agni Kai between Zuko and Ozi. She was also the last image of season one.

Azula already looks unhinged in my opinion.
Which is already a win for me. Because once her hair is loose, she goes batshit crazy

Azula was in the first season in flash backs and post season finale considering they only showed her in one shot here it would make sense that is the scene thats from considiering shes in the firelords war room. And the ozi thing i mean the announced who they casted as him a while ago so it was never going to be a surprise anyway. It was cool in the show because noone knew but going in now it honestly doesnt matter and if they play it right this could make him more intimdateing by having a face already when he scars zuko.

I'm cautiously optimistic. This is because we have yet to see any bright, whimsical, humorous personalities. If they don't stay true to the heart of the characters and their interpersonal relations/interactions, it's just a higher budget M. Night version, with a more appropriate casting. I feel excited and heartbroken at the same time. The creators leaving is not a problem with me. I think Aaron Ehasz, and his wife at the time, were the true storytelling masterminds behind the original series. One piece was done right b/c the creator/writer made sure the heart of the show was kept. This seems like another Netflix anime adaptation where they think an adaptation means serious personalities to be "real life." I'm scared, honestly, but hopeful.

They seem to have the proper casting with actors that have the skills to portray what they need to. Daniel Dae Kim even already played a villain in the original animated show as General Fong. And Hiroshi Sato in Korra. So we know he's very much Avatar villain material. The other casting choices seem very good fits as well.

I’d actually be far more hyped for a live-action Legend of Korra. ATLA is so iconic that I fear the adaptation can only aim at not disappointing people and will have to stay very close to the original. With TLoK some aspects could actually be improved (I’m still a big fan) and the original feels already more realistic than ATLA, both in its design and the characters.

The cabbage merchant is cast and its the original voice actor. So we should definitely get a good cameo.

Oh yes, new Avatar The Last Airbender Netflix series will be good and incredible in 2024 like the original show, I can't wait to see new live action series not 2010 movie next year. Avatar The Last Airbender 2024 is way much better than The Last Airbender movie 2010 I'm so glad.😄😁😆

Really? The casting looks perfect. Accurate representation of nationality. We even have Daniel Dae Kim who has plenty of experience playing Avatar villains. He played General Fong and Hiroshi Sato. Way better than Cliff Curtis.

@@elegrin5170 I grew up with the show. They look the part. And you can't perfectly match the shapes of drawings to living people. They look very close to how they would look as real people. You want to look at bad casting for Avatar? Look at the 2010 film. The new cast is way better and more accurate than that film.
