    I was worried initially, but it already looks so much better than the movie. The characters look great, the visuals are epic, it had a lot of the same story beats. I need to hear the actors before making a final decision, but right now, I am hyped.

      @@AL-fl4jk It's not about jumping to live action... Ba Sing Se and Omashu are completely different cities, both in layout and community. Omashu is a city built on a mountain and has chutes around it. Meanwhile, Ba Sing Se is vast (it's the size of a small country) and with inner walls dividing its many parts. In terms of community, Omashu is the one city where you can hardly notice clear distinction between poor and wealthy, since the riches are divided almost equally between all. But, in Ba Sing Se, they literally separate the rich and the elite from the rest and rare are those who can move upwards the social pyramid. The lower class citizens are basically used as shield for those of the upper classes and the royal family and live in extreme poverty.

    The fact that The Movie Which Will Not Be Named couldn't even do firebending right leaves me nervous for all the bending disciplines. What I hope to see is a strong choreography paired with the bending (along with good cinematography and sound design) to get across the feeling of the actual martial arts that are behind each move. I enjoy great CGI, but I think no amount of great CGI will cover lackluster choreography where as (imo) amazing choreography can go a long way to covering for CGI that's not up to par. The choreography of the actors' movements is what grounds the made up images of CGI into reality and I feel that it's really important to making it all feel real for the audience.

      @IAmZamber  10 месяцев назад +13

      I realize I didn’t quite have the word I was looking for when recording. I was more so looking at the inner hood fabric and seeing the ‘synthetic’ fabric, which was where my comment was more so directed at. Not anything to do with the decoration, as I have compliments to in my video.
      Edit: as I’m relooking at the image, the left side of the inner hood made it look synthetic, but the right side shows that it’s still fur inside. So I was actually wrong about it. 😅 the lighting just made it blend lol

    The things I hated about the movie already seem to be better: everything about Appa, the choreography (the constant slow motion was SO stupid and how it took a thousand moves to accomplish one thing), the costume design, and the casting.
    Now we just have to hope they'll get the pronunciations correct, and the way "Ong" was always so serious and "sohka" was NOT funny at all. "Eeroh" didnt look or act like his cartoon counterpart.. and the ACTING. If they can fix all this, I'll be happy :) oh, and the waterbending looked ridiculous. So that too.

    Oppa looks soooo good❤ I think they 100% did puppeteer with him and that’s why he look so good… if I’m wrong, then I’m wrong but puppets are better than CGI I wish Hollywood would do a lot more with puppet like they used to because we got a lot of really creative things out of peoples imaginations, there’s way too much reliance on CGI these days, lives very little room for uniqueness on a reasonable level

    This does look very promising. I really hope they pull it off. So far, the casting looks good and some of the shots were amazing. I think criticizing the scar is just a bit nip-picking because for a LIVE adaptation, and not making it TOO cartoony, I think it looks just fine. I have no problems with it. ATLA is my favorite show of all time, the aesthetics look good, (so far), I just hope the characterization is done well, we know the personalities, where each character starts there journey, and where they eventually end, the characters, dialogue and combat are 3 of the most important things in the OG series, and will be in this new one, every single move in combat is purposefully made, so, they MUST translate that into the live action adaptation, let's hope they get that right. 🙏💯

    I'm new to your channel and I love your opinion about Avatar. Your question about why you don't see the other elements in this trailer is because coming from taking animation at school fire is easier to do than water, air, and earth. Also, you do see Aang doing air-bending but since it's live-action and as in real life you don't really see air you just feel it

    People seem to forget just how often zuko's scar was ignored in universe like when he stayed with that earth kingdom family or the mom and daughter. Zuko is the only person in the world with that scar and its widely known he has it and still some people dont notice it in universe so making it more subtle is actually sticking to the show.

    • @lightningg252
      @lightningg252 10 месяцев назад +1

      Not really, there is a long standing war going on in the show and the main aggressors wield fire; burns and injuries are common things to see. Even with that same mother and daughter you spoke of, the girl had burns up her leg. People notice but choose to look past it, assuming it was either a war injury or an accident. Also, Fire Nation is very careful about letting information out of the homeland, hardly anyone outside of the capital know what really happened to Zuko or even know what the royals look like. Zuko's own crew in Season 1 didn't know until The Storm. Also, the scar is an essential part of him, it needs to be more visceral to show the physcial and emotional pain that has been inflicted on him. It's more impactful if it is clearly an awful burn that never healed well and not like it could be mistaken for a large birthmark. That being said this one looks better, but I wish it had a little more umph to it.

    It definitely looks good, though that I was expecting. My whole thing is, why bother making this? Obviously the answer is money, but from a creative standpoint, it's already been proven that the original AtLA was lightning in a bottle, so why make a live action copy? Unless they are absolutely certain it will be of the same quality or better than the original, I feel like making a live action Last Airbender is just a waste of time.

    It's awful how Netflix treated the original creators of the show, promising to work together on it but breaking that promise so bad that the original creators had to leave the project saying they did not want to associate with that work whatsoever, not only that but the actor for Sokka lying about his race to get the part is also pretty bad, this is all a very simplified retelling of all that happened so if you wanna understand all of it you can look it all up, but yea for those reasons I am not a fan of this show from Netflix and definitely don't want to be watching or supporting it
