What cheerfulness and dynamism in all this. Beautiful interpretation and beautiful balance, in addition, between all the instruments.
Takvo izobilje i raskoš u jednom izvođenju. Veci i lepši doživljaj. Volim dobru muziku, a ovo je odličan koncert. ❤❤❤

What would have happened if Bach and Mozart never meet?? Bach made such an influence on the young Mozart......but we have to remember....JC Bach had his style which he passed on to a brilliant student.
JC Bach is the most famous among all his brothers cos his music sounds more 'Mozart' and 'Hadyn'. It is not hard to see why. His music is more 'easy listening'... more 'POP' music-like if you will.
EMPIRE ENTERTAINMENT & EVENTS You’re right that on first hearing, the similarities with Mozart are startling. Not sure the same is true of *Haydn* (sic) though; Haydn’s compositional technique is very different - much more motivic development for example - and the melodic shape is very different - much less feminine and less sensuous. CPE Bach was at least as equally famous as JC; in the second half of the eighteenth century, when people mentioned ‘Bach’, they meant CPE, and both CPE and JC were more so than WF and JCF.
JC was a mentor of Mozart. It is difficult to see where JC's inspiration came from. Perhaps he is the first. He was taught by his father, but his music is so different.
Malcolm Abram JC’s teachers as you correctly state, were firstly his father, until his death in 1750, following which, he moved to Berlin to live with and be taught by his half-brother CPE. In c.1756 JC moved to Bologna and was taught by the famous Padre Martini. In Italy, JC absorbed everything about modern Italian music, including opera; he then promptly ‘forgot’ almost everything he had learnt from his family teachers. It is this softer, cantabile, balanced and very sensuous Italian style learnt in Italy that was so evident when he moved to London in 1762 - where he spent the rest of his life - that answers your question about where JC’s ‘inspiration’ came from.
Malcolm Abram Christian Bach’s music is invariably lovely; it is balanced, sensuous, elegant and has a very avant la lettre Mozartian cantabile character to it. JC’s orchestration is also beautifully done, and it’s very easy to see why the whole package so intoxicated Mozart. JC is always worth listening to; I like his music very much as well.
This piano concerto is an arrangement of his sinfonia concertante (C33) - which was published in 1773. This concerto is part of his Opus 13, which was most likely published in 1776.
Wald Horn thanks for clarification. And a real pleasure to have contact with you Anthony. I own all the JC Bach albums performed by Academy of ancient music, under your direction 😋
@@markusboyd3 , many thanks for your kind comment. The orchestra is actually the Hanover Band, not the Academy of Ancient Music; however, the 'AAM' did in fact make one CD of several works by JC Bach, for the 'Chandos' label, but its director for that was the violinist Simon Standage, not myself. Kind regards, Tony
Johann Christian was fresh, new and a great source of inspiration for young Mozart. The befriended each other in London.

Sehr erbaulich

A VERY NICE AUTHENTIC PIANO FORTE TO MATCH THE SCORE . THE PORTRAIT ALMOST LOOKS ENGLISH AND QUITE STYLISH.
Beleza. Harmonia. Suavidade.
Escucharlo facil.
Beautiful combination Mozart and Bach!!!

seven wind instruments!
Why is the finale so short? Otherwise, this is a fine piano concerto to listen to !
Probably because the composer wanted it to be quite short?
ask J. C bach
This..........................Bach. why do i find this NOW
Can anyone tell me what year this concerto was written? 1770s?

@@markusboyd3 No it is NOT part of the 6 Concertos Opus 13, it is a totally separate, independent work. Best wishes, Tony Halstead
