Sir what if I use Ambroxan as a fixative with aquatic or oceanic fragrance, does it also work with floral notes or woody notes? My goal is to improve longevity of the perfume
@Trendinghits ambroxan can be used for improving the longevity, however you need to check at what % it suits you, it should be added in % where it's not changing the profile of your fragrances & in case you are willing to trade off profile with better longevity, well go for it

Some one distilled ethanol from sugar despite distilling twice it remains 56 % as experts advise 99% his ethanol is crystal clear can it will be useful solvent he has not sufficient Lab tools and methods to extend up to 99% guide please

Each ingredient viscosity is different & therefore if u try to measure in ml it may go haywire

Hello, its better to use amber colored glass bottle for storing the chemicals & also in air tight containers
However for a shorter duration of time, say 5 or 6 month you can go with chemical grade plastic bottle, they are different from pet

Question about dose
What should we consider as the upper limit of oil composition. What will happen if we have 40% lets say (dumb curiosity in my side). At which value will it start getting harmful to the skin.
Why are attars which are towards that kind of concentration not harmful on the skin.
If somebody wants to create a super long lasting perfume, does it even make sense to have 30 40 50% oil content?

I need assistance. Kindly help, please, as my fragrances are not becoming long-lasting.
We have been using your perfume for a long time now.
We are using:
15% fragrance oil
5% DPG
0.1% BHT
3% Tonalide
4% distilled water
73% ethyl alcohol
However, my fragrances are not lasting; they are not retaining their scent for even 30 minutes. Should I add Galaxolide to improve longevity?
What should I do? Kindly help, please.
Try adding Ambroxin 5 to 6 drops per 100 ml of perfume making
you can try incresaing the dose of fragrance up to 20% and also DPG upto 15%, it should help

If you can really give time and mix it for say 1 to 1.5 hr, maintaining cool temperature, it would be great & also don't forget to also store also at cool temperature

@ibnulazeem plz try to understand the profile of your fragrances, there are n no of molecules which can works wonder for improving the longevity of your fragrances, out of that many which works best in your perfume you will have to figure out, it should have a synchronize a harmonious effect & should not alter the profile of fragrance.
Also there is no single molecule which will work with everything, so stop looking for that magic masala
How to make fregrance for cosmetic and soap (long lasting)
I have explained this in one of my video, there are 3 ways only
1. Increase the % of fragrance
2. Modify the fragrance by adding some boosters (We have an excellent booster By name M. Booster )
3. Well its applicable to perfume , you can improve the lasting by changing the evaporation ratio of alcohol by addition of some secondary solvents
And than you will have to study the fragrance and/or essential oil a bit
for eg. any citrus oil contains very high % of monoterpenes which are highly volatile molecules and therefore will not stay for long

You need to complete a bachelors in chemistry background (any background will work but it will be better to have a chemistry background) then opt for a perfumery course at ICT mumbai or kannauj
Or you can go to France there are many good colleges there
