Hi. I used a Halloween print for one fabric and used a different holiday print for the liner. Then I had two cute box covers instead of one.
That's such a great idea!
Very excellent thank you

Thabk you for showing us how to make the template. I've seen many video that jumps directly into stitch. I really want to onow how to create the template
Glad it was helpful! x
It would be helpful to topstitch the tissue opening.
Thats a great tip. x
I would love to see a video on how to make a dish towel topper to attach on stove
Great suggestion! I'll add it to the list....
Hi,
Love this pattern, it’s really easy and looks great - BUT...
If you want to make it, make sure you have the “Subtitles/Captions" on as the measurements are slightly different from the spoken instructions.
Height of box should have a 1/2 inch added not a 1/4 inch.
The corner seams when sewn should be 1/4 inch not 1/2 inch.
Hope this helps.
Ohh thanks! I didn't realise that. xx
This message should be pinned so it is the first comment listed
Very nice! I would love to see how to make the same tissue cover with straps for back seat of a car.
Great idea! Would the straps go round the seat itself or the headrest?
I would also love to see how to make the same tissue cover with straps for the headrest of a car.
Thats a great idea! I would probably just try and make the elastic straps a bit longer. Or perhaps having them running down the long side of the box rather than the short? If you have a go then I'd love to know how you got on. x
Thanks,
You're welcome!
I enjoyed the tutorial however, I always iron my fabric before ironing on my interfacing. That way you don't get wrinkles in the fabric. Just saying. Now to get started on my tissue box covers. Have a lovely day! ❤
That's a great idea! I should have done that. How did it turn out? x
Thank you for the tutorial, did you put interfacing on the lining material too? I have made it with only interfacing on the outer material and it looks ok.
Yes, correct, I just put it on the outer material.
Kindly upload your all such small fabric projects
Hi, sorry I don't understand? Could you re-phrase that please?
did you remove the paper on the iron on interface? or what kind of interface did you use thank you
Hi Judy, I've left a list of everything I used in the video description. :-)
Wow its nice I made it
It helped me a lot
You are so welcome! x
Can i ask does the lining have interfacing ironed on as well?
No, only one side needs to have interfacing. It's just to make it more rigid. You can use interfacing on both sides but it's not necessary.
If only making one for yourself you could draw pattern on the nonglue side of interfacing
Hi Sharon, that's a great idea! x
How about a Christmas tree skirt

Looks really easy. The thing is, are you taking measurements off a box you have bought in Australia, OR...are the measurements taken from a box you have purchased in U.S.A?..? Fact that you are using the Imperial term tells me it may be American.
My tissue box here in Australia, I have a tissue box the measures 20cm x 19.50cm. When it comes to numbers, I make the Dumb and Dumber boys look SMART! Be damed if I can convert. Am 74 in years and my tired old Brain is looking worse for wear after 2 hours of measuring and cutting. Can't afford to lose more Brain Cells....can somebody, ANYBODY convert this for me....pleeeeeease!!
If you follow the measurement instructions (adding the 1/4 inch allowances when advised) then it should work whatever size your box is. Start by drawing around your tissue box as shown (your rectangle will be 20cm x 19.5cm). Then, add the 1/4 inch spacer and tabs depending on the height of your box. All the other instructions should then work as normal. Hope that helped! x
Thank you so much. Will give it another go. Will let you know how I do. 😃👍
