Unfairly, a lot of folks compared them to the Red Hot Chili Peppers back then.
Both were compared to each other. It's a compliment to both bands. It makes sense though because both were funky and when Mike started to add rapping when he joined, that was clearly being done in RHCP prior to Mike's arrival in FNM.
Chuck Mosley was rapping in FNM before RHCP were. If anyone accuses Mike of “ripping off” Anthony, they are sorely mistaken. He was carrying on where the band’s first singer left off.
@@teathhuller4155 Mosley a rapper? That's a pretty loose definition of rap then. RHCP formed in 1983 dude, that was the same time FNM formed, and I wouldn't call ANY of Moseley's vocals 'rap'.
@@teathhuller4155 I would never accuse Patton of ripping off Anthony, that was never my intent. That being said, FNM were not formed before RHCP nor was Mosley ever truly 'rapping'.
I didn’t think they sounded like the Chillies . They definitely had their own unique progressive sound
Great song, the instrumental intermezzo is sooooo gorgeous! Awesome reaction :)
I'll just leave Mr. Bungle's My Ass is on Fire right here. Are you ready? Well, I don't think anyone is ever ready for Mr. Bungle....
No! Everyone jumps into that request and then thats usually the end of the Mr. Bungle train. Start with something like Egg or Carousel or Stubb or Sweet Charity or Girls of Porn or even Dead Goon before you get to that one.
I agree no one is ever ready for Mr Bungle but it is well worth the ride!
@@metheus108 Solid recommendations for starters to Mr Bungle. And may I add Squeeze Me Macaroni
That entire album is pure gold!!! That was my main CD I played in my truck back then.
Mike Patton is the most talented vocalist this world has ever known. You could have an entire channel dedicated to just that and it would get old.
Rob Halford can give him a run for the money but if you say one of the two, I wouldn't object.
Of the 500+ shows I've seen live Rob Halford has the most powerful voice I've heard...by far
Every old ass metal music fans answer to "Whats your favorite rap song?" 🤣🤣🤣
But all bullshit aside, Mike Patton (the singer) is an infinitely interesting dude. He's weird as shit, but its the kind of weird you'd WANT to listen to for 3 hours strait. 🤣
They weren't kidding when they named it "epic." LOL
Title says it all, Epic!
Your so right this is an Amazing song loved it back in the 90s, piano melody at the end is something else.
Even though it's their song We Care A Lot in the movie,I always think of Grosse Pointe Blank starring John Cusack when I hear anything by this band
Loooove that movie...mr video should watch!
Badass band man! Love them! Thanks for the reaction Leo!
Check out the band Ugly Kid Joe videos. "I hate everything about you" AND "Neighbor" really cool nineties jams.
Cats in the Cradle was also a pretty cool Cover
heeeeck yes.
Coming here to comment about Ugly Kid Joe as well. "I hate everything about you" is a great song.
Yes! Also by UKJ, "Jesus Rode a Harley Davidson" and "Milkman's Son".
@@tsimmons12 While we are on these songs from back then, we might as well ask Mr Video to do a reaction the Green Jelly's "Three Little Pigs" and Primus' "Winona's Big Brown Beaver" He would crack up with these two
I've been waiting for this reaction so long! Please do more FAITH NO MORE 🤘🐯
This was very late 80s when hair metal was dying and before the Seattle explosion.
Special effects were all analog video post production from the looks of it.
Possibly early Matrox raster graphics cards.
Love this band! So weird and talented
fam if u are diggin that melodic solo, u gonna love iron maiden
I think it's now law that when someone reacts to Epic for the first time they have to immediately react to Easy, followed by Ashes to Ashes. That's the best way to truly understand how amazing Mike Patton is.
I think Peta got involved and they cut out the part with the fish dying. Hey how come nobody’s done Fun Lovin’ Criminals Scooby snacks or any Fun Lovin’ Criminals?
Been pushing Fun Lovin Criminals for a few months now on the various reactors I watch. Hope eventually it'll catch on
You just got a LIKE, SUBSCRIBE & most importantly, respect for listening to my favorite band of all time! My man!!!
You should check out the song "the real thing", as well as "zombie eaters". Two of their best songs
Such an awesome song and I have always absolutely loved this video. Great song pick and reaction!! 🙂
Please react to their cover of “Easy” by The Commodores- you will be surprised-❤️✌️
I love your reaction to this video. I remember when I first saw this video years ago, I was dancing and jumping around the room. I was also about 12 at the time. 😁
