I was smelling this while watching your review. I don't think you where too far off by saying you got cedarwood... Great review. Your passion for this stuff comes through!
I don’t think I get anything Oud-like in this but I get that incense-sour wood in this that I could see people viewing as Oud accord. I love this line, hate the prices. There are times when Armenie is my favorite in the line
Been meaning for a while to check whether you had ever reviewed Bois d’ Armenie, finally Googled today only to find you did this review 3 hours ago, 😂. Thanks Ramsey, such an interesting review for a beautiful fragrance.
Gr8 vid Ramsey, i sampled this when i bought the last bottle of Tonka Imperial. If im not mistaken, this along with cuir beluga along side some other frags will get Axed soon . This what i was told by the worker at the botique
@@RamseytheRam indeed, im trying to dive into the house of guerlain. I currently own only the Famous Tonka . Would appreciate your recommendations about current frags that can be find/ purchased in thier current forms.
Czech and Speake aren’t really spoken about enough IMO. 88, Neroli, and especially Cuba Cologne and the lavender beauty Oxford & Cambridge are phenomenal! I’ve been wearing Menardo’s Bvlgari Black on these first cold nights of fall, her noir rendition of the the Jaipur DNA which stands as a classic designer fragrance… but the rich, subtle, natural Bois D’Armenie is a more elegant expression of her talents that’s mostly lost on today’s perfume consumers.
I wanted to say that I really like your reports because they go very deep into the subject matter. I have a question if you could recommend a perfume for very elegant occasions where you wear a black suit and want a fragrance that gives you confidence for a man in his mid-twenties. Overall thanks for the videos, stay tuned!!!
Thank you brother. Can you do an individual review of Pavarotti, as Rich's favourite Italian perfume. Today is his birthday. Scent Of The Day : Guerlain - Derby (Centurion bottle)
I have the original Bois D'Armenie, purchased from their flagship store in Paris in 2007. I also re-purchased the same fragrance in 2016, and the soft incense-vanilla was toned down compared to the original release unfortunately. I haven't tried the recent version in the new bottle though, as I assume the juice is not the same as the original. I still have 20mL of the original Bois D'Armenie, and will cherish it 🙂 Also try Cafe Tabac from Aedes de Venustas, which shares the same DNA as Bois D'Armenie, but an unburnt cigar note adds a layer of needed complexity and projection IMO.
Yes I have a bottle... at one time it was an amazing cheepie...I didn't even make the connection until now but yes it does have some similarities with Bois d'Arménie
I bought bois d’armenie when it first came out many years ago… I still have in the old bottle…. It was discontinued … I was so excited when I saw they rereleased it (not excited about the price) it’s constantly sold out though 😒
Ramsey! Thanks for review. New bottle looks nice and I'm wondering if there's any difference between new bottle repackaging to that of the old. Sounds nice!👍. Always appreciate your insights. A2! P. S. Just found & purchased an original Guerlain 2012 vintage bottle of *SONGE !🎇🎆🎇🎆🎇🎆! 🙂
@@RamseytheRam Does this pertain to your review on Bois D'Armenie or Songe? I realize package & bottle change many times can be a sign of change in frags, which has happen with Songe & D'Armenie. I'm just elated to have actually obtained a true vintage Guerlain bottle,as it one from the very yr it was released 2012. Just watched your vid on brands that released frags in 2012,which you showcased Songe & one I enjoyed👍
@@RamseytheRam Ok! In regards to Songe I've seen others review it when it was still in the 75ML bottle ,having the cap changed to black & the box from gold to black ,coming to the conclusion that, while it still smelled great it had has longevity & had been reformed. I'm sure when it finally went to the 125ML rust, orange bottle that it smelled nice. Im just happy as a collector to have obtained an original bottle of it that was produced the same yr in which it came out. If there's no difference that's good, but as a collector I'd rather go for vintage over new bottle packaging of it,if at all possible. Just my thoughts & opinions 👍🙂
Guerlain recently discontinued Bois d’Arménie, which explains why they removed the page. Such a shame. I worry they might discontinue other gems like Néroli Outrenoir in the future. Tough times for true frag heads…

Bois d’argent is beautiful. I have an old cologne version, and newer format. Cologne is so gorgeous
Ohhhh nice would love to smell
The Armenian duduk is the most beautiful sounding instrument I've ever heard. Listen to Djivan Gasparyan, I Will Not Be Sad In This World.
Thanks David...I will check it out 🙂

A fragrance of it's time. You nailed it.
So 2006 even though I kept saying 2005 lol
Yaaay! Bois d’armenie! I absolutely love it!! Thank you

Cheers Rams nicely done , sounds really terrific , and what about the new Areej releases , very interesting for sure as always. Oh yeah 🤛👊💪
Can't wait for the new areej le dore releases
It's almost time for an Areej le Dore video to be released here on RUclips.
I know can't wait 💪🐏
Great review as always. Thank you. Looks like this one got axed recently. No longer on Guerlain’s website. Let’s hope for reformulated resurrection.
Dang it didn't hit me why it wasn't on the Guerlain website until now 😕

I just love that Guerlain DNA but you gotta trust your own nose 🐏🦆
funny you mention Francis Kurkdjian as he actually did two renditions of Papier D’Armenie (a rose one and a tweaked version of the original)
