    Nice upgrade chant. Can’t wait to see it in action this winter. Bring on the snow!

    Great video Chant, that landscaping project looks awesome! I highly recommend putting a rubber mat in between the back of the truck and the front of the spreader to keep the rust down! With the spreader in the back of the truck is added traction with the salt!

      I’ll love the weight in back for traction for sure !

      @@ChantsDailyHustle ya that truck will be a tank in the snow loaded. Probably wont even need 4wd

    I would recommend just buying a pressure washer with the steam heat side, you can pick a good one up for a few thousand. With all the equipment you have it will pay for itself in no time!! Also get a turbo nozzle for it great investment.

    I can see the adjustment slots on the side of the spinner, you need to get it raised up.
    Where I am in Canada we need to put our license plate on the back of the salter, can't leave it on the truck.
    Get yourself a large piece of rubber like an old floor mat and put it at the back of your truck so the salter sits on it and it hangs down almost to the road. It will cover your bumper and help stop salt being thrown under your truck.
    I would have been disappointed to see that old salt sitting on the shoot. Make sure the track is cleaned and grease all the bearings.
    You'll be happy you got one with a cover.

    Been in the game a long time need to get that old salt off that salter and spray it with krown to protect it especially the chain,auger,bearings etc also I would zip tie the extra length on the wires in the back so they dont get caught on something

    honestly its not about the money when going from a tailgate to a vbox. you will love not handling, cutting salt bags. its always fun getting a new equipment no matter how big or small , remember grease all the bearings every few uses and run the spreader and test it before loading th salt .
    you will save yourself a big head ache
    oil spray the truck every year and the truck will be fine.

    Great video, just got vbc6500 for my 2018 dmax. Great to see your set up. I installed mine myself just earlier today. Really overall simple deal. Any plan to mount the controller? Or just leave it loose? I’m undecided. Also do you keep material on hand yourself or go to depots?

      @ChantsDailyHustle  4 года назад

      For the amount of salting we do the 6000 was perfect for us and it was smaller so we had just a little more room in front of bed

    That spinner seems a bit too low …I’m sure it’s adjustable...the way it’s set up now most likely for a dump truck...which it’s higher.

  • @MRPlow-gj4qg
    @MRPlow-gj4qg 4 года назад

    Spinner is hanging way too low. Soon as you put some salt in the hopper it will be hitting the ground, should’ve put a emplacement tailgate spreader on the dump truck. I hope nobody backs into anything with it plowing you just slowed down the plowing production of that truck.
