Can you switch between headphone/headset and speaker line out while leaving both connected? Or does plugging in headphones just mute the speakers. I want a device that I can just leave everything connected and then toggle between devices.
@@JesseArt You can toggle between speakers and headphones by holding down the SXFI button. You can also toggle between speakers and headphones using a switch in the software suite. When the headphones are unplugged, the device will automatically switch to speakers if there are speakers plugged in.
Quick tip because from Soundblaster's site is false advertised. You DON'T need to have a Y splitter for your headset (headphone + microphone in the same jack). The right front jack can handle both headset and headphones with 4 pole jacks
That is correct. You do not need a Y splitter and it may cause confusion. Although it is kinda nice to not have to buy a Y splitter and still be able to plug in an external 3.5 mm microphone. An XLR mic or a USB mic would work better than any 3.5 mm mic though.
How to setup 5.1 speakers with X3 in a way to produce sound from all the speakers when playing stereo sound? By default only two speakers are producing sound
Sound Blaster X3 isn't recognized on my Windows 7 machine, but it works fine on another machine running Windows 10. Technical details state that Windows 7 is supported.
Please put USB C on you old and new products like the Sound BlasterX G6 and please put all your softwares on Android and pc and please links to your softwares in the description so we can download it right away
I'm from Bulgaria and for some unknown reason to me the S-XFI app isn't available in my "region" over at the IOS app-store. Please make it available because I purchased the X3 and I have to create my profile and the ear-mapping. Thanks!
Yes you can. Connect the iPad with a male to male 3.5 mm cable to the DAC itself and then connect your headphone through the female headphone jack on the DAC. Same goes for any smartphone with a 3.5 mm connection or a dongle to said 3.5 mm connection.
Yes, I have figured it out with SB G3, and same goes with SB X3. It's a beautiful DAC. Only wonders for whether Line In will be monitoring mode to the headphone or it will also goes to Computer through USB-C as sound input capture. 🤔
How does one switch between connected devices? Or does plugging in your headphones mute any speakers connected to the line outs? I want an audio interface that allows me to leave everything connected.
You can leave both (headphone and LineOut) connected and switch with holding down the SXFI button. Spdif works always with the line out. If you use your headphone the spdif and the lineout get muted.
Should I buy this and use with Audio Technica M50 and/or HyperX Cloud Alpha headphones? Or should I better invest in more high-end headphones for better results?
can this card deliver sound from my games to my av receiver amp via spdif optical in dolby digital or dts? and i mean real 5.1, not a 2.0 "virtual 7.1" wannabe.
@@floorgang420 no. spdif has bandwith limitation, so not everything can be transfered by spdif. for example, spdif can't do: - Dolby Digital Plus - Dolby TrueHD - DTS-HD High Resolution - DTS-HD Master Audio this is not a matter of how expensive it is, but of technical limitation. usb transfer still evolves, while spdif reached its physical limit. this is the reason why spdif was replaced by hdmi which also still evolves, just like usb.
I have problems with sound volume, which is weird and annoying. I have windows 10 Education and when I raise or lower the volume it takes 2 or 3 sec. but after that, it goes too much up or low. I installed volume2, it worked at first then the second day it didn't work. Does anyone have this problem? Another problem is that it doesn't work on 5.1 surround speakers (I could hear the sound in only 2 front speakers) but I fixed it by installing Boom 3d software but that shouldn't happen. Any help?
You would need an adapter to split the wire coming out of your headset into two cables, one for mic and one for headphones. Search for "headset splitter cable," look for one female end and two male ends. You'll plug your headset into the female end, and plug the male ends into the front of the x3, and you should be good to go.
I don't believe you can. Anything you can plug into the product you can manage. That means that XLR microphones and usb nicrophones won't be managed through the DAC. You can only manage a microphone with a 3.5 mm headphone jack connection or a mic/audio combo jack. If you have an XLR or a usb microphone, like say a Blue Yeti, you will have to manage that device separately. Most likely you will need to set that microphone as your default mic input in windows.
Sadly this wasnt made with pc gamers in mind. Who wants the headphone jack to come out at front whereas all other cables go in the back. Nightmare for cable management
I think you need to do videos not only for gamers but djs aswell who live stream I can dind anything online for djs how to set up this software it's crap I'm ready to give up
Best video on the setup I've seen. Straightforward without any long drawn out wait time waiting for the box to be open.
My favorite brand since childhood is back with another super flagship product! I've owned Soundblaster 16 all the way to Katana.

Is there a way to connect ps4 and pc on the same time?
Can you do this with x4 too?
I just bought the X3 but I don't have any of the SBX Profiles? I just have playback, recording, encoder and mixer.

I have an internal Sound Blaster old card. Should I remove the card before using my x3?
No… this one is external
Can you use pc line in/usb then line out to speaker system?
From my understanding it should work. Please confirm

Is this thing ever going to work with a Mac Mini M1 Silicon? It doesn't put out 5 channels, only 2.

how do you connect airpods to X3? in X3 settings at SXFi tab it says airpods among other headsets. How do i use my X3 with airpods???
Yea this made no sense to me either. A wireless headset or eardubs can't take advange of an amp dac.
X3 and X4's many features can not be used on PS4&PS5 !
