It would be really great if people who choose to do these Sound Card reviews would put in the title that this is a Sound Card Headphone review. This is the 4th 5.1 SURROUND Sound Card review I have watched that is ONCE AGAIN another "your headphones will sound great with this Sound Card" review.
Is hard to imagine how taking your hands away from you mouse is less distracting than doing a quick alt-tab and a couple of clicks to adjust anything while streaming.
An excellent review BUT I still havent seen a review where someone tests the multichannel output on this thing. I completely get that very few gamers are keen on being surrounded by speakers, but this is marketed as a 7.1 DAC and no amount of technical wizardry is going to convert my SHP9500s into a headphone capable of replicating 5 channels of audio (not to mention two channels of Dolby Atmos). I know I'm nitpicking here, but if I buy this thing it wont be for the same functionality as the 3 or 4 other stereo DACs I already own. Thanks for the video.
It's called "lighting." When something is in the dark, you shine some light beams onto it. Then you can in fact see the thingy. Try it, you might like it. What was that looong commercial spot built right into the "product review?" There are more commercials now on YT than on a cable TV channel.
Should I buy this and use with Audio Technica M50 and/or HyperX Cloud Alpha headphones? Or should I better invest in more high-end headphones for better results?
@@postnutregret Hey man, thanks for asking. The answer cannot be short, but I'll try. At first I wanted a simple comprehensive solution to my desire for better sound. After reading on forums and watching reviews it turned out that devices such as this one are a compromise, which kills the purpose... I've expanded my reach and read about what DACs and AMPs are. I've went on to upgrade/buy new headphones- Beyerdynamic DT-990 Edition and paired them with Liquid Spark AMP + Topping E30 DAC. These three together make for a SOLID combination for those who wish to enter the stage of Hi-Fi sound. The investment is obviously greater, however totally worth the upgrade. I suggest avoiding gaming-related sound devices as those are usually mediocre at best or by all means, get one, but do so knowingly that they may not reveal all the beautiful sounds out there.
ASUS Xonar DX vs Sound Blaster X3, which one will you pick? Currently I have Xonar DX with my Edifier 5.1 sound system, do you think X3 will perform any better than Xonar DX?
This looks like a low-end toy with some entry-level LED light show. No wonder he did not even mate it with a computer. Wow, so for $30 more, I can get a Sound BlasterX AE-5 Plus with Dolby Digital Live and DTS Encoding. No comparison in capabilities between that and this here gimmicky toy.
Hi ön my motherboard i have only the 3,5 mm audio jack , but i get 5.1 speakers . Do you think is good option for have 5.1 for speakers ? Any better idea ?
Question what about if I’m using this on pc and i have a external usb microphone connected to my pc , does the mic mute button on the x3 still work and mute the usb mic ? Or it doesn’t work like that ?
@@RAVisuals Yea sorry I was not exact enough. For me apps are still just programs on phones. I just dont want something that forces me to download a phone app. Windows programs are no apps to me :D
I use soundbar lg sl9yg OR wireless headset G935 logitech on my gaming PC, will sound Blaster X3 increase my experience if connected to my rig? appreciate the video
Can you adjust the output levels for different speakers plugged into the 3.5mm ports? For example I have a vibration speaker that I want to use for bass only then my pc speakers for full range, can I adjust these seperately? Each has separate 3.5mm jack say one for c/sub other for rear
Im lost i hope some1 can help me... Can i use the software when i use the Blue Yeti with the Soundblaster X3? And how do i connect it since the Blue Yeti is USB?
Hi there! I don't have the X3 but I have a similar Creative external audio card/amp and HyperX Cloud USB headset. Simply, when you plug a USB headset it usually have an internal soundcard in the USB connection, so it superseded your soundcard and switches to the one built-in in the headset. So, to summarize, when you use a USB headset you are using the soundcard in the USB headset. To use this X3 from Creative, you need a normal jack connection-cabled headset.

Good point another "headphones" useless review as the main advantage of this card is multichannel output....
Glad to see someone else rocking the SHP9500 😎😎

The SXFI from Creative should get more attention.
X3, G6 or Schiit fulla 3? I need a dac/amp for all: games, video, netflix, music and more..

What’d you end up deciding?

Does gaming surround work when it's connected via optical to the surround system?
To adjust your eq and all of that you need the app. They have it for mobile as well in case you don’t want to use your pc
