What I always loved most about this show is that just when you think they couldn’t find a way to get themselves into a worse situation, they surprise you. The writers were absolute geniuses.
The best thing about this storyline is the ultimate reveal that the mannequin was created by the TV Guide guy whom she met in “The Cigar Store Indian.”
Always liked suit stores. Where jewellers peddle their trinkets by making men feel badly about themselves, the best salesmen I've ever met were those who sold suits to men and made them feel like kings about to reveal themselves.
I think that he just liked the suit anyway. He knew she just wanted the sale. He didn't act overly flattered in my opinion. He knows everyone has ulterior motives. George is the king of deception. You're not fooling him.

What is really great about this sequence (and the series in general) is the brilliant performances of the supporting cast playing the side characters- the guy who “recognizes” Elaine at Monk’s, the cashier at Monk’s and especially the sales woman at the clothing store. It seems they really hired the best of the best in every aspect of the casting.
To me thats the same skill that Larry and Jerry applied to writing, just redirect it at casting. I think they knew what kind of delivery was needed while they were writing it.

When she goes back and they have her mannequin over another mannequin's knee getting spanked was one of the funniest moments ever on the show for me. These guys just came up with the stupidest ideas. To think one day a store has a mannequin just normal and the next day they have her being spanked by another mannequin 😂😂😂

The punchline, which they don't show in this video is funny too. The guy who makes the Elaine mannequin is the guy who had a crush on Elaine, the guy who ruined Franks TV Digest, who works at the mannequin factory.
And the person who made the mannequin turned out to be the creepy guy from the subway, played by the late and great Sam Lloyd! Also known for playing Ted on "Scrubs".

I think it’s debatable about which is shoe the best. But not debatable about which show had the best casting - Seinfeld, and it’s not even close. I really can’t think of a show where literally everyone in every frame, is the exact, right perfect fit for the lines, with the ability to do so much with less-to-little screen time than the leads. Just remarkable, and one of the traits that makes Seinfeld one of the shows of any genre I’ve ever seen.👏
Kramer is incredible ... also Elaine ... everyone in fact are so perfect for their roles ... Seinfeld is my favorite series of all time since 20 years now ... nothing can even come close to Seinfeld

Gotta watch it man. I never liked the show until I hit about 30 years old and decided to give it an honest shot. It turned out to be the funniest and most well written show I've ever watched.
It is truly a commentary on how busy I must've been in the years when this show was on, because I had never even HEARD of it until it was going off the air, and I was/am in the film/tv industry! : I saw the cover of TV GUIDE at the grocery store checkout and wondered what the word "seinfeld" was a reference to. I asked my girlfriend what it was and she was puzzled why I was asking. I now know a whole lot of life passed me by while I was busy up to my eyeballs in projects---a different kind of "amusing" experience.
