In this video I show all the step required to remove the intake manifold to do intake gaskets or just for access to the rear bank for valve cover service or tune ups.

I cannot tell you how thankful I am for this video. I'm so impressed with how you did it, it was super helpful. You didn't spend 10 minutes just loosening screws, and I could see where all the hoses were that you took off. I watched the video a bunch of times to make sure I got them back on right. As a bonus you know what everything's called, so I can refer back to this video if I need to know. Thank you again so much! Very very well done video. I have subscribed, and watched a bunch of your commercials lol.
Had a 302 code come up after 2 months of misfire with no engine light. This video helped me change out back plugs and Cylinder 2 spark plug. Fixed the problem, no engine light and running like a 20 year old car with only 55K miles again! which is pretty good. Thanks for the video and thanks for keeping it up 9 years later.
This video was extremely helpful! Mechanic quoted me $200 to replace the back three plugs, but was able to do it with the help of this video. One thing I might add is to purchase two extra EGR elbow connectors. The originals are cheap and flimsy will be likely tear...like mine did. This Taurus my wife inherited from her late mother. My first Ford. Great video and great instruction! Thank you!
Great video, this was very helpful to me on a valve cover gasket replacement. Only one thing, the intake manifold bolts are not capture bolts, they are only held in place by the rubber grommets so it's a good idea to pull them all out after loosening them. If you don't, when you flip the manifold over they can drop out and be a bit tricky to find, as happened in my case ;)
Going to do it myself, trying to learn how to fix my own vehicle, had some horrible experiences at auto shops, I can only trust myself these days.
Thanks very much for making this. It helped me through the job very well.
My task was to change the plugs and wires.
I took a little short cut- after disconnecting the stuff on the right and the left
I propping the manifold up with a stick and had room to work avoiding disconnecting the lower stuff too. (I didn't need it to flip all the way over)
Great info! I've got a 99 Taurus DOHC (170K miles) with the aluminum intake, but the procedure is almost identical.
Two things I've learned:
1) Be slow and careful moving that manifold around. It's heavy and sturdy, but still possible to break a tab or crack the throttle body from setting it down too hard.
2) Double or triple check the vacuum lines when hooking everything back up, especially the red ones. These tend to slip out of the rubber boot that attaches to the manifold while you're fidgeting with something else, and the car will idle really rough when started.
This is my second time trying to change my spark plugs and wires an my 2003 Mercury Sable. The first time my brother helped my and broke the 8 screws on my upper intake manifold and it cost me $1100 to get it repaired. Today was the second time I tried it. This video gave me the confidence to try it again without the help of my brother :) it took me about 3 hrs to complete the job but I did it perfect with the help of this video. I would like to give a big thanks to FordTechMakuloco you saved me $430, I really appreciate that.
Nice! Good to hear.
How many years in and this video is still helping, I have to get to the back bank for a spark plug, tysm!!
I'm working on a 2004 Taurus, 3.0 liter, with coil on plug, great video for reference. lots of hoses to disconnect, and reconnect. I'm gonna replace some of these hoses, as they have degraded pretty bad. Starting to hate those Ford hose clamps!
I just gave up because of those shit clamps.
@@nukestrom5719 just remove it with self adjusting vice grips squeeze hard and they lock in to place. once that out replace it with a flat head screw driven hose clamp.
Car would barely run in winter cold start, but would run perfect after warm up. Suspected intake gasket leaks. Sprayed good dose of "Armorall" at plenum base all around when cold started engine and warmed up. Did this a few times over a couple days and found this must swell gaskets and has sealed problem for more than a year. No wrenching required.
I need tour comenta un spanish please thanks
I have Ford Taurus
Thanks very much for showing all the details of this removal. I was able to use this and replace my ignition module with no issues at all. Awesome!
THANK YOU SO MUCH BROTHA!! I have some malfunctions with my fuel injectors. So I tried to make an attempt at it and failed; miserably! This video will be of great help. Now if I can only get that darn manifold removed.
For those of you who replace that PCV tube... when you order the new one from Rockauto it will have a spring clamp glued to the TB side connector. To remove it, apply some heat with a butane lighter to the backside of the clamp and carefully twist off. Replace that clamp with a standard screw-to-tighten hose clamp from Home Depot. Your life is now much easier in the future. ;)
Thank you. Just bought an 02 Taurus 3.0 Duratec and needs new plugs. Easy peasy the way you showed it.
FordTechMakuloco - thanks thanks thanks! I have an '04 Taurus with the 24v. Slightly different in that I have coil on plug and something seemed different with that lower hose connected to the manifold, but a really good guide to get me into that rear set of plugs! Took me maybe half an hour to get everything off the top and another half hour to do the rear plugs. Did the tune up for $66 instead of the $310 the shop wanted! Save a bundle because of this video!
Nice! Love to hear these stories.
Joseph Killey how did you get that bottom hose out?? I can't get it and don't want to break the IM... Got the clip backed off closest to IM and can't get an angle on the other? got a bad COP on #2
FordTechM thanks for video
There was one hose I couldn't get off for the same reason. Kinda worked around it. IM was still attached while I removed/replaced plugs/boots one at a time
Joseph Killey
Don't see how I can get to #3 cylinder w/o clearing the IM much farther out? I'll futz with it tomorrow. Thanks. I'm trying to save about $400.
It's been a few months since I worked on it. Wish I'd have taken pics. Is the one you're having trouble with kind of under the rear bank around the lower intake? I remember having to use a small pair of pliers to squeeze a clamp open and at the same time carefully work a hose off. I wasn't able to fully remove the UIM but was able to move it around enough to work.
Thanks so much for this video. Just saved a ton of money changing the spark plugs myself on my 2004 Mercury Sable.
You *should* replace both gaskets. But you can probably get away with reusing the intake gasket. The EGR gasket is super cheap. If you want to save a few more bucks, you can order the parts from an online store like partsgeek.com instead of your local auto parts dealer.
Did you reuse your gaskets?
Thank You! Completed sucssesful plug, wire, coil job today on 01 Taurus.
Just replaced my engine
Thanks for the umpeenth time for your helpful videos!
Love the video. Very helpful. I just changed the plugs and wires. Check engine light is off but now it runs extremely rough. I checked the wires and all are on properly and in the right order.
Dominic Scorziello Got it. I played your video over and over retracing my steps. I forgot to connect the vacuum line for the evap at 4:20 of the video. Now she runs PERFECT. Whole job cost me $90 and took about 3hrs + this little mishap.
Absolutely awesome!!
+Dominic Scorziello ROFL @ 4:20 huh ???
thank you, just sea foamed my Taurus and saw a bunch of smoke come out from UI probably bad gaskets hopefully not cracked UI.
What a fantastic video! No wonder Ford has better vehicles than GM or Chrysler. I was looking at $350 for a tune up, instead I got it done for a little under $100 for parts (bought on a Sunday afternoon, no less). There were at least 15 attachments to the manifold .. yikes! Thanks, again.
2001 Mercury Sable LS.
I have the same engine.
When you pulled the EGR off,....I noticed two gaskets on bottom only.
I changed mine about two day's ago. It had one gasket on bottom,..no gasket on top. I thought someone had missed something so when the new EGR came with two gaskets I installed one on top also. Should I double up on the bottom and eliminate the top?
Car runs fine.
Yeah brother good look. Thankx. Before u start watch vid on Landrover plug change ul b glad u got a Tarsus .
Good stuff. Complete, to the point and no BS blah blah blah. Saved me hours and some broken parts I'm sure. Curious what light and headgear camera you used? Most videos are too dark and blurry. Yours was perfect. Thanks again.
Love the videos. I own a 1995 Mercury Sable with a 3.0 L. Engine light has been on for over a year. Every component has been replaced under the hood, at least 2X including the ECM. Light is still on. The car runs great, however, after driving it for a few miles and turning it off, the car will not start unless you let it cool off for at least 20-30 minutes. Then no problem. I was told to that the intake is plugged and to change it. Do you think this can be the problem?
Frank Levine No I do not I believe the fuel pump is failing personally. Has the CCRM been changed yet?
Gave good research on my 2005 Mercury Sable. I'm going to do this myself. Change my spark plugs. Thanks...
Omg I want a dohc Taurus so bad now. Great video!
Ford! I'm so glad I found your vid. I have an 01 SEL that's throwing P0305. When I started looking deeper in the eng. compartment. My first thought was to pull the intake Manifold. I planning to replace the ignition pack, wires, and plugs as I don't want to dig into this again. If there are any other components back there you might recommend replacing while it's exposed. Let me know.
Great video! You did an excellent job and show and describe process very well.
Thanks So Much.
For anyone with this engine, the main PCV elbow on the bottom near the throttle body should be replaced with an updated one. Ones like the one is this video are prone to collapsing! My taurus (2000 with the duratec which also has seperate ignition coils) had the updated elbow on it when I started pulling everything apart. Im gonna be doing valve cover gaskets on mine though. Spark plug holes are full of oil and burning and sticking to the plugs, boots, springs, and bottom of the ignition coil where the spring connects causing connection issues and random missfires :( and any suggestions on the PCV system? its dumping TONS of oil into my intake... I was thinking a catch can or something because of how severe it is. It seems its mainly coming in from the front valve cover? that pcv tube is always full of oil. Makes me wonder if an oil return is partly clogged or something. Im gonna try and investigate the issue once I get the valve covers off. I run fully synthetic mobil 1. I plan on changing to pennzoil's ultra platnium though to help clean this old engine as it has 207,000 miles on it and was running like new until the oil started pooling in the spark plug wells. Runs very strong too. Ive watched videos of people doing 0-60 in the duratec tauruses and mine is a bit quicker. Not sure if its due to the vacuum leaks from the UIM and LIM gaskets being shot letting it get more air in or so much wet compression from all the oil being dumped into it while its running. I love this little car. The trans is just starting to give me some trouble (slight slipping at really high rpms during kick downs and sometimes really hard shifts) so not sure how much longer it will be until it drops :( The programming for these AX4N trans is garbage... specially the programming for the TC lockup... I plan on dropping the bottom pan and changing the filter and the bit of fluid thats there
Great video I think the water pump is out on my Taurus making a screeching and knocking noise on the water pump side of 24v dohc engine
+Jason Albitre Water pump is easy to replace.
Just have to remove the batter and holder, and it is easy access.
I did my tune up for $67:) run great now
That is awesome!
Great video I was able to get it done no problem with the help of your video.. thanks again and great work. 💪🏽
Wow..it took me forever to find a vid with this size engine... I have the same set up in my 01... Thank you.....i did wonder though? when putting back the intake cover...did you happen to know what's the recommended torque for the bolts...
Thanks for this. Do you recommend replacing the intake gaskets when its off? They're only $12 but if they look good to reuse is it okay to?
Yes replace.
Love your music in the background
Very simple. Great vid. Curious how difficult the lower mani is. I am working on this very motor right now. 02 Wagon. The space shuttle. :D
On the 2000 sable duratec, it's got an early attempt at COPs. '01-'03 went back to the ol' cap n rotor.
Got the '00 sable DOHC in 2016 with 61k miles, original plugs. Changed em out right away with dealer bought plugs, checked the gaps anyways, but still lost a coil shortly after.
It's a new part # with different boot design (DG-513). Seems like maybe moisture was getting inside the spark plug well?
I've since lost 2 more, but I'm wondering if I should replace the other 3 with the new design, or I can just wait until (if) it throws a misfire code.
Some days it'll idle real $&!++# but doesn't throw a code. Clears up after a few minutes, but does it take a lot of misfires to get a CE light? I don't have a reader so I just do shade tree diagnosis to narrow down which coil it is. Last 3 are in the back, so if it does cause a CE light, I might just buy all 3.
Thank you
You’re spot on
Did mine last weekend
I am looking for a CERTIFIED MOBILE MECHANIC that can come diagnose and hopefully fix my car, it is a 2003 Mercury Sable Ls Premium, has the 3.0 V6 DOHC. Has a new battery and starter. One morning I started it to let it warm up to drive 20 minutes to the doctor and about 10 min into my drive I noticed my display for my radio/heat wasnt on, but everything was working. I gave the display a little tap and everything came back on. I got to the doctor and as always shut my heat, radio, and unplug my car charger, then shut it off locked it and went inside. I was only inside 20 minutes and came out to my car not wanting to start, it was clicking and trying to crank, so I had about 10 people try andgive me a jump, then a guy I know came and put a tester on the battery and said I needed a new battery. I then went and got a new battery from the Ford Dealership, my boyfriend put it in and the car wouldnt start so we towed it home. The next day the same guy that said my battery was bad came over and he has some testing equipment and said it's your solenoid on your starter, so I go and get a whole new starter, not just the solenoid and we put it in and the anti theft came on, so we had it towed to the ford dealer and they told us the new starter we bought was bad, so we changed the starter and put a new one in, the next morning the Ford dealer calls and says it has nothing to do with the anti theft, and said it has a bad ground somewhere and wanted another diagnostic fee...well everyone told me to just have it towed home if it's just a bad ground. I had it towed back home with the only changes being (new battery, new starter, and the anti-theft was off). As we were talking to the tow truck driver, we popped the hood and he said we had the ground from the battery to the starter mixed up, so my boyfriend fixed that the car still wont start. I went and picked up my Dad who used to build race motors and he brought a button to hook to the solenoid and battery and got it to start, but didnt want to stay running, so he said to put it on a slow charge and in the morning itll be good to go. Well we put the fully charged battery in and it started and shut off, then started again and gave it gas and it shut off again, tried a 3rd time and it made a noise like it was grinding. Then we took the starter off thinking it was catching the flywheel, we tested the starter off of the car and it worked, the battery is brand new from Ford, and the fly wheel looked good, so we put everything back in and we were back to square one w/ no click or crank. I was watching youtube videos and seen something about the inertia fuel emergency shutoff switch in the trunk, so I unplugged it and plugged it in and wiggled the wires and tried starting it about 3x and it clicks and it's trying very hard to crank over. SIDENOTE《The guy I bought it from in June said he messed with wiring in the trunk and that I could only open it with my key fob or the key, as the button on the dash as well as the emergency trunk release do not work due to him messing with the electrical in the trunk.》 I'm at a total loss because my Dad says he thinks its siezed, the Ford Dealer says they think it's a bad ground, and I personally think it's some sort of electrical/wiring, maybe a bad alternator, or possibly the second starter we got is bad. I has a guy reply in a post I made looking for a mobile mechanic and he came out in a beat up grand am and said he tried turning the motor by hand and it would go backwards but not foreward and said i needed a new motor, and it's been over a week and all I've gotten is excuse after excuse because I wasn't handing him the money over to go pull the motor, I told him my boyfriend will go with him or when he pulls it, I'd call and pay for it over the phone, so I was definitely going to get ripped off! PLEASE HELP, I go to school fulltime, I have a 3 year old daughter, and we are borrowing my boyfriends grandpas truck, and it isnt safe to put my daughter in and on top of it has barely any brakes, so I don't even want to drive it, and I am the only licence driver so I do all of the running around from doc appointments, grocery shopping, interviews... and I've already spun out twice in the truck and am terrified to drive it especially with rain and snow in our future! The car just rolled over 130k miles and drives like a Cadillac! Also have a 2005 Ford F250 Superduty 4x4 extended cab with 80k miles on it and the trailer break sensor is on and the breaks lock up on that. So either way we have 2 vehicles that have to be fixed, but just 1 working vehicle for now would be an absolute blessing
Excellent video! A lot of work but it's doable!
Thanks for the video. Great help. Can you give me the torque specs for the intake plenum 8mm bolts? Also, is there a tightening sequence for the plenum bolts?
***** Everything is in the description of the video for ya.
Replaced the spark plugs using your video. Thanks! One problem I have now though is a hissing sound, vacuum leak I guess, but don't know where it's coming from. I can drive the car but it will idle very rough. The intake manifold looks like it's on right and the hoses seem to be connected right but I don't know how to find the leak. I didn't replace the gasket on the EGR. Could that be it? I have no idea. Any suggestions?
Jose Gonzalez No look for the vac hoses under the intake near the throttle body I think you will find your answer follow the hiss noise.
FordTechMakuloco Found it. Thanks. You're awesome brother.
I like your videos! One request if you have not already done it... Ford Focus SES Wisconsin car.. 2007 PVC replacement... If I have to I will remove the intake of the focus to replace the unit. Why did they put a maintenance in a bad place? Go figure... Here is my experience and why I thought it might be the PCV, I tried to start the car and it cranked and two plugs fired and shut down. Thinking; I decided to hold the pedal half way and hold; then crank; it worked but if I lifted my foot off the pedal it would stall. Started the unit again and let it run with the pedal depressed until it warmed up. I turned it off by letting go of the pedal as it stalled again. This is not a frozen car, it was in an attached garage but still somewhat cold. After coming back 15 minutes later the car started normally. Am I close to the failure or can you provide any other ideas. Any help would be greatly appreciated! It seemed warming of the engine made the difference which led me to the PCV...
I would take a real close look at the pcv tube full length of it for oil soaked and sucked in causing a massive vac leak and a stall. This was very common and it will get better as the engine warms up and the mixture naturally can lean out where as a cold start it must run rich. I have a video on what I am talking about, it is on a free star but the idea and failure is the same. Does it make a sucking sound and run horrible then die.
FordTechMakuloco No, it sounded absolutely normal at part throttle and as soon as you let your foot off the pedal it would turn off without any attempt to try and keep running. Immediate shutdown. Four or five times driving after that the symptom never reappeared. Currently it is up on all fours in my garage for struts, springs, rotators and brakes. The engine is squeaky clean as I take care of it. Currently 70,000 miles on the car. I do have an inninova 3160b with no issues shown. Threw a code for the airbags and I did order a clock spring but have not replaced it yet. This airbag code comes and goes so your dielectric fix might solve it. Inninova although shows a high failure rate on the clock spring for the Focus. I have been watching allot of your videos because they are very good and I have enjoyed car repair for years, I will find the Free Star video but this seemed like something was stuck, once it sat for 15 minutes after warming up it started and operated normally.
If it just died immediately but will continue to run great as longs as you manually keep the rpms up it can still be a large vac leak from the pcv system as vac leaks are not affected at higher rpms. From the way you are describing it it sounds like a sticking IAC. Has it happened since.
FordTechMakuloco No it did not happen after that but it was not on the road much afterwards. Drove it about five times before before I put it up for the suspension. Interesting, Can the IAC be cleaned? Would this not throw a code if it were sticking? That is why I was after the PCV sticking open from the start and once it warmed up it freed? I knew I would get quite a vacuum loss with the PCV stuck and wanted to find an easier way then to remove the intake. I used to buy the manufactures service manuals for my cars but the cost sky rocketed. I'm subscribed to an online service but they just don't have the detail needed. Is the intake easier to remove then I think it is?
Curiosity It is pretty easy but I don't think that is your problem. The pcv system is all metered air and would just adjust accordingly where as a vac leak is not metered so I don't think that is your problem. The IAC can be cleaned with throttle body cleaner.
hi great video by the way ... does this removal apply ot 2005 ford taurus, 3.0L v6 SEL
My 2005 Sable 3.0 Duratec is different from this. It has coil on boot and looks like there are more horses to disconnect. I gave up after trying for an hour. Such a pain in the ass to replace spark plugs.
How long would you say the pcv valve is that goes to the crankcase. Just the plastic hose part ?
Will a bad manifold Gasket cause car to Act Jerky, and cause the brakes not to work well?
(2003ford taurus)
I could use some help trying to figure out if a fuel system is not working or why i am not getting a spark. Can you help some? I am working on my elderly friend and neighbor to get his car going so he can get rid of it since he can no longer drive. I have changed all plugs, fuel filter just after the tank. The car sat for about 3 years :(. No old fuel in it anymore that was old. Put about 2 gallons in so far (don't know if that is enough for the pump to fully work will put more in tomorrow). I am no mechanic or anything to diagnose just can fix what is known lol. Any help would be appreciated.
Great instructions, helped me a ton.
I have to take off the manifold to get it welded. While its off , what should be done as far as maintenance?
Damn Ford didn't have a better idea when it came to designing that motor all that just to change the back plug wires or coil pack or spark plugs I got the Taurus with the regular 3.0 motor just saying it's all good I know that was more powerful than mine is
I'm preparing to do this on my own to replace the valve cover gaskets on a 2000 Ford Taurus Dohc. What tools and size
did you use to take the bolts off?
Asia Pereira He says what sizes they are in the video.
Mark K oh sweet, guess I wasn't paying attention. Anyway though this was a very helpful video I did my intake gaskets with it
I got a 2001 Ford Taurus 3.0 Dohc and its a crank but no start I've ran a one scan and got no fix code like P001 or whatever I got a codes J1850pwm or On my way! What the hell do I do what does that J code mean???? Please help me bro
What year is the Taurus? I have a 2004 Taurus, and want to replace the broken AC by installing a bypass pulley BUT I cannot find one for this exact year model - that I can afford! lol
When you took off the EGR,..two gaskets on bottom only,......is this correct?
Thank You sooooo much, this helped me out a lot.
I got the exact sense engine as this one inb am 02 Taurus. What's the name of the sensor to the back right of the coil pack? Mine has broke off the two metal lines it's supposed to be sitting on.
hey great video. where can I find the fuel tank vent valve on this car? I cant fill my gas tank. It shuts off while fueling and spills fuel. I know the tank is not full. Someone told that it could be the charcoal canister or the fuel tank vent valve. I want to check my vent valve first but don't know where it is. Is it somewhere I I can get without a car jack?? Please help
Its connected to the canister
Hello does the dohc engine take 6 plugs also or are their more. thinking about buyin a dohc off a relative
Yup just 6 plugs on these.
Is this process any different on the earlier duratec v6's with the cast aluminum manifold? Im about to do my plugs and wires and my sable has this older style duratec engine.
A bit maybe but this will be a very close guide.
Question, how hard is it to replace the pcv tube, my mom got a quote from the dealer of $600 to replace it and re flash a modual, does this seem like a fair price on a 2003 taurus with the 3.0 D.O.H.C. Engine
badranger2004 Tube or baffle under the lower intake? The tube can be removed with intake still on but I am sure they want to remove intake so for the dealer that price is about right. I would change it myself. Are you close to me in Illinois?
Unfortunantly I'm in Las Vegas
Not sure if I have to remove all the other lines after I lifted the intake off just to get to the ignition coil block
How much stucco patch should I add to our crankcase to stop oil leak?
Great video. Thanks for the information an tips
I have a 2002 Ford Taurus and there's an gas odor in the cab any suggestions on what it could be anyone ?
My 04 sable ls has a hose that goes from that breather hose and plugs into the manifold , the part that goes into the manifold has a four prong plastic piece you insert in. I cant identify this part
How do I remove the electrical connectors from the fuel injector
Can ya help me? Trying to remove electrical connectors from fuel injector
Do I gotta do this to remove rear spark plugs on 06 ford five hundred?
I gotta do the same on my 05 Ford 500.
oh dude this is insane because i was driving a car like this one 04 wagon and the rear intake manifold straight up cracked in half
good job, belive i can do mine now thanks
2001 Taurus DOHV. Changing spark plugs. Went to screw new ones in, but can't get them to start threading in. Anyone ever have this happen? Wondering if since it has aluminum heads, if the threads may have got messed up by taking the old plugs out???
Brian,Is the 2006 Freestyle or Ford 500 with the Duratec 24 valve 3.0L the same?
+ReclusiveMountainMan Yep same stuff different car.
ReclusiveMountainMan it's a little different... the design is different and the egr in different places... harder to get off
Yes, figured that one out. I actually disconnected the EGR rather than the bracket that holds it to the intake manifold. Easy to accidentally drop the gasket down into the engine compartment if you aren't careful, but much easier for me to access those two bolts. I used a shop rag to prevent that from happening. Have to be careful of the fuel rail pressure sensor when re-installing the intake manifold.
Do you know what size the hose is that goes into the side of the block?
very good vid
whats the name of vac lines? the red and green ones?
thank you !!!!
good work thaks
Could you tell me the firing order for a Mercury Sable 2001 DOHC 24 Valve V6?
Ashton Thompson
Firing order
1-4-2-5-3-6
Thanks. I have replaced my spark plug and wires and changed the gaskets on the UIM. I still have a check engine light flashing and low coolant light. The code is P1504. I replaced the Idle Air Intake Valve as recommended by parts store. I am still having a rough idle problem and low coolant light even though there is plenty of coolant in the radiator. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Low coolant light on these is almost always the sensor itself which I believe is part of the coolant bottle only. You much check all the vac lines to the intake especially the ones under the throttle body and the pcv elbow especially for a leak.
Thanks Brian!
I can't access the photo of the torque sequence. Do you have another link?
Not right now but just torque front and back from the center out
FordTechMakuloco okay thanks! And do you torque it down to around 50?
unbelievable.
Hey can someone tell me where oil pressure senser is on 2001 ford taurus DOHC engine 3.0. Thxs
side of the block radiator side bank 2
👍👍
I would never be able to put everything back together without labelling each and every plug/cable.
Why didn't you bother to include the year of the Taurus in the video title, to help users filter out videos better?
Waterpump torque specs ?
Does any one knows where the oil pressure sensor goes for this same car?
I have gas coming out from underneath in take manifold where could it be coming from
2022
2002 ford turus gas is coming out underneath intakemanafol
Great step by step video however, an ass load of hoses to disconnect and reconnect!!! Hopefully, none is forgotten when, putting everything back in it's place. LOL..
That's a lot for a person who has never done that, so I'll take my car to a mechanic or leave it overnight there. It's best on a cold engine. I hear.
What if the line going to the egr value break
+To help the lost be found!!!! vac line?
To help the lost be found!!!! The pipe. Mine broke when i took off the manifold. Had to go to the junkyard to get another one
What is the parts name for the bolt at 3:35!? 😥
whoever designed that engine must be fired forever and never hired back
Wait till you see what's involved to do a water pump !!!!!!!!!! DOHC = POS to work on !
Wait till you see what's involved to do water pump !!!!!!!! DOHC = POS to work on !
Bill Smith i saw it bro, sold the car for 250$ after spending 2 weaks, spending more on parts...
What year was the Taurus
+Shawn Williams maybe 2002
Ok cool Thanks Bro!
Mine got melted from the inside idk why
Generally this is due to a clogged catalyst.
