- When my buddy Kael Wu (winner of the 2018 Ibanez flying fingers guitar competition) proposed that we remake my song ‘Tilt’ off the classic collaboration album of the same title with Richie Kotzen, I thought “why not…it’s 2020 and we're all sitting around not touring.”
So, here is the remake with a brand-new set of outstanding players and Kael Wu taking the role originally occupied by Richie on the 1995 Shrapnel Records version. Enjoy!

Still remember saving up for this CD during my college days 'cause it has two of my heroes on it! Did a bunch of odd jobs and even sold a few CD's to buy it =) This is my favorite track. It's now 2020 and the song still gets played regularly at my house. The difference now is that my wife is listening with me!

Ditto on everything said here. Greg is not only my favorite guitar player, but also my favorite over-all musician, period. Nobody, and I mean nobody, puts it all together like this dude, and it irks me a little bit(a LOT) that he doesn't get more respect and acknowledgement from the guitar world Nothing against Richie Kotzen, he's an amazing guitarist, and I wish him all the best, but on every track on the two albums they did together, I can instantly tell which guy wrote it, and to me, all the best cuts were Greg's(hands down).

@@mostwanted4908 Have you ever heard the tune "Last Minute" he did for a guitar magazine disk? He threw it together in no time apparently (hence the name) and as well as the obviously tremendous guitar playing, his bass playing is fantastic, the way he dances effortlessly all over the neck.

This is the song that introduced me to Greg Howe and Richie Kotzen for the first time through guitar compilation album. The weirdest cool music I've ever listened to back then and I'm still in awe untill now.

Actually both _Tilt_ and _Project_ composed and recorded by GH & Richie Kotzen in the mid 90's are absolute gems.

03:09 Just an amazing solo by the neo fusion master Greg! And, wow, I'm seeing more and more guitar makers bringing back the "humbucker" Bridge pickup with the lovely "Dual Rail / Hot Rail" coil in the neck position with a coil split on it (and, in the best of both worlds, a coil tap on the Humbucker too! Coil Tap to the neck on the Volume knob and a Coil Tap to the bridge Humbucker on the Tone knob - awesome tonal flexibility!). That was very popular back in the late 80's/90's, but lost favor later on. Hope it becomes a "norm" again as it's probably one of the best pick up configs ever created in my opinion.

Tilt was the first album that brought me to the two maestros-Greg Howe and Richie Kotzen. To me, this album is one of the best fusion rock of all time. A pleasure to see it live ! Salute to all of you !

One of my favorite of the Shrapnel shred team guitar players. His debut CD is still one of my favorites. SO fluid and tasty. Killer performance by all these musical cats. I wasn't even aware of some of these dudes!
At last! Before I could only imagine RK and GH playing this live. RK is not here in person, but through his riffs respectfully and ably channeled by Mr Wu. Great drum, bass, and keyboard work bTW. Thanks for this!

Love the production on this whole thing, bass tone and that drum kit/drummer are amongst the best I’ve heard on any fusion record.

I usually hate when people write these extremely flattering comments that don't really mean anything, but watching Greg Howe's fingers run all over the fretboard reminds me of how I felt as a kid watching Michael Jackson's dance moves on stage for the 1st time, this guy is a fucking legend. Of all the guitar players who have been described as shredders, Greg Howe is one of the very few with a distinctive style and real soul. Kael Wu has amazing technique, but a little way to go yet. The whole band here is cooking.

During the song, I was literally confused about the parts. Who’s playing?
After reading the information what’s coming with the cd, the parts from Richie came from the right stereo channel and the parts from Greg came from the left stereo channel.
Their style is so similar. Almost identical.
